Shamima Begum said it is 'unjust' for her to be stripped of her British citizenship
The Home Office has revoked the 19-year-old of her citizenship - however her family say they are currently considering all legal avenues
She told ITV News the decision by Home Secretary Sajid Javid was "a bit unjust on me and my son
" Shamima gave birth to a boy on Saturday and wishes to return to the UK to raise him, even though she faces likely prosecution
However those wishes were dealt a blow last night when it emerged the Home Office had written to her family in the UK saying that her UK citizenship had been revoked
The 19-year-old said she had not been informed of the decision as she received the letter
"I don't know what to say," she said. "I am not that shocked but I am a bit shocked
It's a bit upsetting and frustrating. "I feel like it's a bit unjust on me and my son
" She said she might explore potential citizenship through her husband - terrorist fighter Yago Riedijk who she wed three weeks after fleeing to Syria in 2015
He is currently being held in a separate camp in Syria and it is not known if he is aware of the birth of his son, who has been named Jarrah
Shamima told ITV News: "Another option I might try with my family is my husband is from Holland and he has family in Holland
"Maybe I can ask for citizenship in Holland. "If he gets sent back to prison in Holland I can just wait for him while he is in prison
" The copy of the Home Office letter handed to her said: "Please find enclosed papers that relate to a decision taken by the Home Secretary, to deprive your daughter, Shamima Begum, of her British citizenship
"In light of the circumstances of your daughter, the notice of the Home Secretary's decision has been served of file today (19th February), and the order removing her British citizenship has subsequently been made
" The brother-in-law of Shamima Begum, said he supports the decision to strip the schoolgirl of her UK citizenship
Muhammad Rahman, 36, said the British public should get behind the government revoking the 19-year-old's passport
Mr Rahman's brother is married to Shamima's sister Renu. He said: "I think we should support it, they [the government] are the people who are in the position to make the decision
"The people who are making these decisions are doing it for the country. "They don't have an easy job, you can't please everyone
"The information they have is to the best of their ability and the British people should support it
" On Monday the teenager insisted she was "not a threat" to the UK, despite having insisted she did not regret joining IS
"I'm a 19-year-old girl with a newborn baby," she said. "I don't have any weapons; I don't want to hurt anyone even if I did have weapons
" She was part of a trio of girls from Bethnal Green Academy to travel to the war-torn nation to support the terror group in February 2015
Her family's lawyer, Tasnime Akunjee, has said that the family were "very disappointed" over the move and that they were "considering all legal avenues to challenge this decision"
International law forbids nations from making people stateless by revoking their only citizenship, while government guidance from 2017 states that the Home Secretary has the power to order the deprivation if it would be "conducive to the public good", and as long as they are not left without any citizenship
However, her lawyer has told the Press Association that Ms Begum, who is of Bangladeshi heritage, was born in the UK, has never had a Bangladeshi passport and is not a dual citizen
has signalled she could be arrested and investigated if she returns to Britain
When Ms Begum left the UK, the then chief of counter-terror policing Sir Mark Rowley suggested that she might be treated as a victim of grooming
But on Tuesday Ms Dick said: "We're a long way down the road since then." Earlier, Mr Javid told the House of Commons he had the power of "stripping dangerous dual nationals" of their British citizenship, adding: "Over 100 people have already been deprived in this way
