As many parents and guardians will already know, for many school pupils, the half term holiday is taking place this week
With children getting a week's break from school, many mums, dads, and carers choose to take their annual leave, in order to spend time with their little ones
And, reports suggest Kate Middleton, 37, and Prince William, 36, have followed suit
Covering childcare - an issue for many working families when it comes to the holidays - is unlikely to be the primary reason, but rather, the Royal couple may have decided the school holidays were a perfect time to make memories with their youngsters
Prince George, five, is currently a pupil at Thomas's Battersea in London, with term resuming on Monday
Princess Charlotte, three, attends the Willcocks Nursery School, which is also closed for the week as of yesterday
Meanwhile, nine-month-old Prince Louis is, unsurprisingly due to his age, yet to enter education - meaning all three of the royal children will be able to spend time together with their mum and dad
So, how will the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge choose to spend the week? The family live in Kensington Palace Apartment 1A, London
In the past, the royals have been spotted taking a stroll in the nearby public park, Kensington Gardens, Vanity Fair reported last May
So, it may be that the family choose to spend some quality time in the capital. However, the royals are also lucky enough to own the luxurious Anmer Hall in Norfolk
With a whole week off to enjoy as a family, it may be that they take a trip to the countryside pad
Alternatively, it may be that the Duke and Duchess choose to take their youngsters on a trip abroad
In the past, a number of members of the Royal Family have been pictured spending time at ski resorts
