 Meghan Markle's friends threw a lavish baby shower for the Duchess on Wednesday in New York

The baby shower was organised by her close friends including Amal Clooney and Serena Williams

But, following the event, some US panellists on the Today programme claimed the colour of many of the gifts suggest Meghan is expecting a baby girl

 The host, Sheinelle Jones, said: "There were a lot of pink things, so now everybody is speculating, 'oh maybe they know something we don't'

" Jenna Bush Hager stepped in insisting Meghan's gusts "didn't know" the gender of the baby

 Jones quipped back: "They say they don't know." The host also joked she was "working" on getting the gender reveal for the US Today breakfast show

 Other friends who attended Meghan's baby shower were stylist Jessica Mulroney, Gayle King, Misha Nonoo, Markus Anderson, Daniel Martin, Taryn Toomey

 Guests were seen leaving the event with dozens of £172 (US$225) suitcases from "Away" Luxury Luggage brand, believed to be party favours for those invited to the baby shower

 Harpist Erin Hill was seen pushing her instrument into the venue, with speculations Ms Williams and Ms Clooney hired the musician for the evening soiree

 The baby shower was held in a £57,600-a-night penthouse at the Mark Hotel located in the Upper East Side of Manhattan

 On Monday, Kensington Palace confirmed Meghan's trip was "privately funded" but did not comment on details of her visit or her security plans

 A source told US magazine Harper's Bazaar that Meghan's five-day trip was a chance to catch up with friends

 The source said: "The trip is a lovely chance to catch up with friends and spend time in a city she loves

 "This will be the last time a lot of them will see Meg until after the baby is born so it's nice to share precious moments

 "It's been a relaxing visit. Nothing beats face time with your friends. "Meg will be flying home refreshed and relaxed - and with a lot of new baby clothes

" Meghan has now landed back in the UK, but there are more travel plans to come for the pregnant Duchess, as this coming weekend she will fly to Morocco for an official visit with her husband

 Meghan is expected to give birth in April or May with the gender of the baby still unknown

 The German has fully recovered from illness and according to Emery, he has trained well this week

 And Emery made clear what he wants from Ozil if he is to be involved regularly with the team

 "First, the key in his hands," said Emery. "He's working very well this week and I asked him in our conversation to be consistent, to be available for training

 "I said that when you can train with us consistently you can help us with your best performance in the games

 "I think this week was good for all the players because we are in a big, important moment for the season

 "I am looking at him doing the training like we want. "I know he wants that but he needs consistency, to be available for training and the matches without injuries, without being sick

The Gunners have it all to do tonight after they slid to an embarrassing 1-0 defeat in Belarus last week.

Arsenal boss Unai Emery will be without star striker Alexandre Lacazette after he was sent off in the first leg.

This means Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is likely to start in Europe for the first time since October.

However, question marks still linger over the selection of playmaker Mesut Ozil - though Emery did hint he could be in line for a recall.

"The key is in his hands and he is working very well this week," Emery said.

"I know he wants but he needs to be consistent in training and for matches, without injury or being sick.

"Without that we can see the best Mesut with us."

Hector Bellerin and Rob Holding (both knee) are long term absentees, as is Danny Welbeck (ankle), while Ainsley Maitland-Niles is a doubt with illness.

Build-up for this evening's game has been overshadowed by criticism of the 5:55pm kick-off time, with the Arsenal Supporters' Trust releasing a statement to voice their discontent.

"Arsenal fans have to travel to the game after work from across London, the south-east and further afield," the statement read.

"The result will be a huge number of empty seats and many fans having to pay for a ticket on their season tickets which they cannot use.

"This is both unfair on Arsenal supporters and will lead to a poor atmosphere in the stadium."

 It boasts of five bedrooms, four fireplaces, six bathrooms, two powder rooms, two wet bars, a dining room, a conservatory, and a living room that can be "transformed into a full-size Grand Ballroom", as described by the hotel

 Some of the presents for Meghan seen taken in were designer suitcases costing $418 a pop, harpist Erin Hill who has played for Kanye West and a candy floss machine

 A 3-in-1 convertible crib that retails at $530 was also taken into the lavish hotel

Following Sunday's henna ceremony and evening reception, on Monday the Duke and Duchess will visit the Moroccan Royal Federation of Equestrian Sports

 This organisation supports children with special needs and will see Meghan and Harry undertake a horse grooming session with the children, and watch a riding demonstration

 Later they will attend a cooking demonstration at Villa Des Ambassadors, where disadvantaged children learn to cook traditional recipes

Their final outing will be at a social entrepreneurs market, meeting young people

Actor Jussie Smollett was arrested Thursday for allegedly filing a bogus police report in which he claimed to be the victim of a vicious attack in Chicago last month, a police spokesman .

Smollett was charged Wednesday with felony disorderly conduct.

Cook County States Attorneys office approved the felony charge, said Chicago Police Department . The announcement came just hours after Chicago police first confirmed that Smollet was indeed under investigation for allegedly faking his own hate crime.

Jussie Smollett is now officially classified as a suspect in a criminal investigation by ChicagoPolice for filing a false police report, wrote Guglielmi on earlier in the afternoon. Detectives are currently presenting evidence before a Cook County Grand Jury.

Smollett, whos best known for his role in Empire, alleged that he was attacked by two masked men around 2 a.m. on Jan. 29 in Chicago. Smollett told police that his assailants shouted MAGA country, poured a chemical on him, beat him, hurled homophobic and racist slurs at him, and placed a noose around his neck.

But in the days following the alleged assault, Chicago police said they were struggling to find evidence that would lead them to his assailants. Weeks later, and after the arrest of two brothers, Smolletts story started to unravel. Police ultimately released the brothers without charges.

According to media reports citing police sources, the brothers, Abimbola and Olabinjo Osundairo, told police that Smollett paid them to stage the attack. Smollett knew the brothers through his work on Empire one was his personal trainer and rejected the notion that they were involved in the attack via his lawyer. It is impossible to believe that this person could have played a role in the crime against Jussie or would falsely claim Jussies complicity, Smolletts lawyer said in a statement Saturday.

On Wednesday, ABC 7 obtained surveillance video that appeared to show the Osundairo brothers in a hardware store purchasing the supplies used in the attack.

Also on Wednesday, CBS Chicago reported that Smollett hired Mark Geragos, a powerhouse criminal defense lawyer who has represented celebrities including Winona Ryder, Michael Jackson and Chris Brown.

 Meghan Markle's lavish baby shower in New York has been the talk of royal fans everywhere

  The Duchess of Sussex spent the last five days in Manhattan, enjoying a break with some of her closest friends

  And while out there, her pals threw her a lavish baby shower at The Mark Hotel to celebrate the upcoming birth of her first child with husband, Prince Harry

 Many have been desperate to find out what happened behind the closed doors of the bash, but guest have remained very tight lipped about it - until now

    American television presenter Gayle King secured a place on the very selective guest list and has revealed a few details about the special event

  Talking on CBS This Morning, the 64-year-old discussed one of the activities that took place the shower, which was organised by Meghan's pals, Serena Williams, Jessica Mulroney and Genevieve Hillis

 And that activity was flower arranging, but with a very special twist.  Gayle said: "I hope she won't mind me sharing this, because I've never seen anything like this at a baby shower

   "They did flower decorations, they had flower arranging, they brought in somebody to explain how to arrange flowers

We all each made an individual vase and then Meghan got in touch with an organisation I've never heard of, Repeat Roses, and all of those were donated to different charities

 "I thought that was a very sweet thing, it just speaks to who she is, she's very kind, she's very generous and a really, really sweet person

"  She added: "It was a very small, private affair and just a very special time for her

"  As well as this, Gayle also revealed that the expectant mother was yet to open any of her gifts from the shower as she wanted to wait and do that together with Harry

    Repeat Roses is based in New York and was founded by Jennifer Grove in 2014

 The company collects flowers from weddings and corporate events and redesigns them into small bedside bouquets to be delivered to patients in hospices, cancer treatment centres, mental health facilities, as well as domestic abuse and homeless shelters

 They later return to these donation sites and collect the flowers to compost them, ensuring they are disposed of in the most eco-responsible manner possible

 And GQ Magazine have now shed some light on some worrying behaviour from the Portuguese prior to the game

 It is said he held one-to-one meetings with his players in a bid to turn their season around the night before the game

 However, so isolated had he become he failed to inform his coaching staff. Ultimately, United players failed to respond to Mourinho's private lectures and the defeat against Liverpool proved to be the final nail in his coffin

 Solskjaer has since taken over. And the 45-year-old has seen his side transformed, with United winning 11 of their first 13 matches under him

 Solskjaer has brought attacking football back to United and, consequently, results are now improving

05pm). "When you go back to the game at Anfield, when Liverpool quite rightly won 3-1 and it could have been more than that, it was obviously the last straw from Mourinho's perspective and they moved on to Solskjaer," Higginbotham told Sky Sports News

 "The problem at the time was at centre forward - and I felt really sorry for Romelu Lukaku or Marcus Rashford, whoever was playing up front at that time

They ended up really isolated. "Because they were defending in numbers - and Mourinho's perspective was 'we need to be stronger defensively' - so therefore the attack-minded [midfielders] will have to do more defensive work

But then they suffered going forward and they still weren't keeping clean sheets

 "It ended up as a 4-5-1. It was so difficult then because if they won the ball back, Lukaku or Rashford were miles away from the defensive side of the team

 "The ball going up to Lukaku would have to be absolutely perfect and he'd have to fend off two or three players

 "Now, if they are having to drop deep in a 4-5-1 at times, they're dropping together so Rashford - who is playing at the moment - is closer to the midfield and the units are moving up and down the pitch together

 "Then when they go forward, everyone moves forward together, where the front three are working really well together
