Meghan Markle beamed as she headed out to Ralph Lauren's swanky restaurant The Polo Bar after her baby shower in New York yesterday

The Duchess of Sussex, who arrived in Manhattan on Friday for a five-day break with friends, giggled next to pals as she arrived at the high-end eatery last night, which is one of President Donald Trump's favourites

The pregnant 37-year-old recycled the same £2,250 navy Victoria Beckham coat she wore on Monday evening

She paired it with a black scarf, a pair of black satin boots - thought to be from Isabel Marant - and a £915 black chain-handle handbag by vegan designer Stella McCartney

Meghan wore dark smokey eyeshadow, highlighter and bronzer for a more glamorous, evening look

Friends spending time with the mum-to-be included tennis champion Serena Williams, newly-engaged designer Misha Nonoo, Suits star Sarah Rafferty, brand consultant Benita Litt and college pal Lindsay Roth

Meghan enjoyed her New York baby shower yesterday afternoon before being grounded in the UK on doctors' orders

The duchess was reportedly desperate to see her American girlfriends ahead of her due date at the end of April

She was joined by 15 of her closest friends at a hotel on New York's Upper East Side before being due to fly back to the UK later today

While at the shower she was given presents for her baby and discussed possible names with close friends

Afterwards, sources joked she would need to book extra baggage allowance on the flight home due to the number of gifts she was given

"Meghan wanted to share her special time with those friends who have been with her through thick and thin," an insider told the Mirror

"She was desperate for them all to get together and have some girly time away from the guys, so her pals arranged to all meet up in New York

"They have spoiled her rotten while she has been over. They are all so excited and cannot wait for the baby to arrive

"  It is understood Meghan, has confided in her "inner circle" whether she and Prince Harry are having a boy or a girl

The duchess is being closely monitored by doctors who have advised she should no longer fly four to five weeks before she is due

Her five-day trip to New York was timed to keep within the safe limits.  The mum-to-be, who flew to the States on Friday, was seen in the Big Apple covered up in a cap and coat

The baby shower was understood to have been organised by Jessica Mulroney, Meghan's close friend and unofficial stylist

The TV fashion expert is also thought to have had a hand in helping plan her wedding to Prince Harry

to film some style segments for her TV show Good Morning America, after being named the show's newest fashion contributor in late 2018

The duchess's former Suits co-star Abigail Spencer took to Instagram Stories on Monday to reveal she was travelling, suggesting she too may have been at the shower

"On the road again," she captioned the Instagram selfie that showed off her silver Away suitcase

Meghan was pictured with her close royal protection officer close at hand while in New York

She is said to have enjoyed a shopping trip while also joining Jessica at Ladurée in SoHo on Saturday to enjoy macarons and tea in a private room

✅ Breaking News - Seaman claims ex-Arsenal boss Wenger 'would be great as Chelsea boss' - Duration: 2:10.

David Seaman has claimed former Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger 'would be great as Chelsea manager'

The 69-year-old remains out of work since his 22-year spell in charge of Arsenal came to an end in May last year

Sportsmail reported on Tuesday that Maurizio Sarri is facing a virtually impossible task to save his job as Chelsea boss

Share this article Share CHELSEA'S LAST FIVE RESULTS Monday: Lost 2-0 to Man UnitedFeb 14: Won 2-1 against MalmoFeb 10: Lost 6-0 to Man CityFeb 2: Won 5-0 against HuddersfieldJan 30: Lost 4-0 to Bournemouth  And former Arsenal goalkeeper Seaman has suggested his old manager would suit the west London club but conceded that he is unlikely to appear in the Chelsea hotseat

'Arsene always said he wouldn't come back to the Premier League because of his love for Arsenal, that he wouldn't feel right competing against Arsenal,' he told talkSPORT

'But obviously time's a healer and he could think, 'I want to go back there and prove a few people wrong'

'For me, Arsene got a lot of criticism that wasn't deserved over his last few years at Arsenal

'It looks like there could be a vacancy at Chelsea quite soon, depending on their next three games which are three big games for Chelsea

'He'd be great there, I think. He'd be great anywhere, he's a fantastic manager. I would love to see him back, but I don't think it would happen

'Earlier this week Wenger was honoured with a Lifetime Achievement Award at the Laureus World Sports Awards

Liverpool News - Andy Robertson says Liverpool can reach Champions League quarters - Duration: 3:57.

Liverpool defender Andy Robertson is confident they can progress to the Champions League quarter-finals but admits their second-leg tie with Bayern Munich has to be forgotten about because of domestic priorities

A goalless draw at home to Bayern on Tuesday means a score draw in Germany on March 13 would be enough to send Jurgen Klopp's side through

Despite failing to create many chances or properly threaten goalkeeper Manuel Neuer at Anfield, Robertson remains optimistic about their chances

'We were at home so of course we were disappointed,' he said.'We came up against a very experienced team, a team that has been there and done it for six or seven years now

'They knew how to frustrate us and how to frustrate the fans and they did it well but we had chances and if we had taken them on another day the result would be different

'A clean sheet at home in the Champions League is so crucial because we know when we go over there and if we can grab one it means they have to score two

'These are all things that come into play and if we can be a bit more clinical I think we can score over there

'We back ourselves to win any game, whether it is home or away, which is why we are disappointed

'Going over there is a new challenge but there's probably a bit more pressure on them than us because they are at home and their fans will start demanding things

'We can try to play our game, try to create the chances we need and try to get goals and if that happens then it puts us in the driving seat

'However, with a huge match against Manchester United at Old Trafford on Sunday, the Scotland captain said Bundesliga champions Bayern would be put on the back-burner

'It's a long way away and it needs to be put to the back of the mind because we have some big Premier League games coming up so Bayern is forgotten about for now,' he added

With current leaders Manchester City, top of the table on goal difference, playing in the Carabao Cup, Liverpool have a chance to regain first place with their game in hand on Pep Guardiola's side

Their meeting with United at Anfield in mid-December, a 3-1 victory, proved to be Jose Mourinho's final game in charge

But under caretaker boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, United are the top-flight's form side

'Another huge game. I think it will be a bit of a different game than when we faced them last time,' said Robertson

'Obviously there was a lot going on at the club at that time and it ended up being their manager's last game

'But under this new manager they have picked up and are a very different team, especially at home, and it will be a tough task

'We need to bring our A game and if we can do that then hopefully it will be enough to win

'

✅ Breaking News - Giorgio Chiellini: Real Madrid's Sergio Ramos is world's best defender - Duration: 3:25.

Giorgio Chiellini believes Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos is the currently the best defender in the world

Ramos, 32, has won everything a player can win in Spain with the European champions and the national side, including four Champions League titles and a World Cup

Juventus stalwart Chiellini has also been regarded among the world's finest defensive rearguards but the Italy international distanced himself from claims that he is the best around - pointing to Ramos instead

Share this article Share  'No, not really,' Chiellini told Marca after being asked if he thought he was the best defender in the world

SERGIO RAMOS' TROPHY CABINET Champions League: x4 (2014, 2016, 2017,  2018)La Liga: x4 (2007, 2008, 2012, 2017)Copa del Rey: x2 (2011, 2014)World Cup: x1 (2010)European Championships: x2 (2008, 2012)Spanish Super Cup: x3 (2008, 2012, 2017)UEFA Super Cup: x3 (2014, 2016, 2017)Club World Cup:  x4 (2014, 2016, 2017, 2018) 'I already said it before our tie last year,' he added when asked about Ramos

'Now he even takes the penalties. He is the best defender in the world at this time and he is deservedly so

'He hardly makes mistakes and if he does one, it is because we are all wrong. 'He is a leader, both on the field and off it

He is one of those players who can influence both teams.' Ramos is currently enjoying his best goalscoring season in a Madrid shirt, with 11 goals already to his name - making him the club's third highest goalscorer behind Karim Benzema and Gareth Bale this year

He was sent off against Girona in a shock 2-1 defeat on Sunday and the former Sevilla defender also controversially picked up a yellow card against Ajax last week

He reportedly got himself booked on purpose in order to miss the second leg of their last-16 Champions League tie

Juventus begin the knockout stages of Europe's elite competition against Madrid rivals Atleti at the Wanda Metropolitano on Wednesday

And Chiellini believes there are many Italian characteristics to Diego Simeone's side

'I think Atletico Madrid are more Italian than Spanish,' he added.'In terms of mentality and approach to games, they're closer to our football

Simeone is ready to line up four midfielders to stop Juventus: Rodrigo, Thomas, Saul and Koke

'I hope to return to this stadium for the Final on June 1.' Share this article Share

Meghan Fashion - Queen Elizabeth II news: The ONE thing Her Majesty 'DISLIKES' about Prince Harry r - Duration: 2:52.

Prince Harry has recently stepped up his royal duties as he takes on more responsibilities to aid his grandmother, the Queen

Meghan Markle's husband has often spoken warmly of his relationship with his grandmother, and the monarch even filmed a humorous Twitter video with the Prince in answer to Barack and Michelle Obama's Invictus Games tweet

However, Her Majesty disapproves of the Duke of Sussex's facial hair, according to royal author Katie Nicholl

In her 2017 biography "Harry: Life, Loss, and Love", she writes about the "health overhaul" that Harry was inspired to undertake after meeting his wife, the Duchess of Sussex

Ms Nicholl reveals: "Harry looked fitter than he had in years." However, she also notes that Harry "was still sporting the beard he had grown while in the military" and revealed that royal aides told her "the Queen disliked" it

Harry started his military training in 2005 and his facial hair started to make an appearance in 2013 when he went on a charity trek for Walking with the Wounded in Antartica

A royal insider told Hello! Magazine at the time: "The rest of the family liked it and were taking the mickey, especially his cousin Zara who dubbed him Prince Hairy

"But the Queen soon let her displeasure be known. "She doesn't mind royal men growing beards when they are away in the armed forces or out in the wild like Harry was in the Antarctic, but she expects them to be clean-shaven when they get home

" Harry left the Army in 2015 but the beard has stayed, with the prince famously sporting the cropped stubble for his May 2018 marriage to Meghan Markle

Although he didn't change his facial hair style, Ms Nicholl writes how Meghan inspired Harry to make other lifestyle changes

A friend of the prince told the author: "Harry went through a bit of a health overhaul after meeting Meghan

"He really started watching what he ate and became more health conscious and started taking supplements

Man City News - The three tactics Man City MUST use to beat Schalke in Champions League tonight - Duration: 2:26.

Manchester City are heavy favourites to get through the tie and reach the quarter-finals

And Pep Guardiola will be hoping for a good result so they can turn their focus on Sunday's Carabao Cup final and the Premier League title race

City are being tipped to win the Champions League and a strong performance would send a statement to the rest of Europe

Here are three aspects City need to be mindful of -Dominate the midfield Man City are at their strongest when the midfield trio of Fernandinho, David Silva and Kevin de Bruyne are all on the pitch

And when you add Bernardo Silva, City are almost unplayable. If City dominate the ball, win it back high up the field and feed runners in Sergio Aguero and Raheem Sterling, it is hard to see Schalke stopping them

Score an away goal City blew past the 100 goal mark in January and they are likely to get on the scoresheet again tonight, which will put them in a strong position going into the second leg

In the Champions League ties last night, Bayern Munich and Barcelona failed to score

But last week, Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid scored twice away from home to put themselves in a strong position

City will be confident that if they can get an away goal, they will be in full control of the match

Schalke's low confidence The German side are 14th in the Bundesliga having gone four league games without a win

They've also won just two of their last 10 league games. It means the mood of the Schalke players could be low and if City get a few goals ahead, they could put the tie to bed already
