Man City News - Man City VAR CONSPIRACY: Fans fume over use in Champions League clash with Schalke - Duration: 2:24.The German side were awarded two penalties in the first half to send the German side 2-1 up after 45 minutes
And it has since emerged the television screen the referee is supposed to be able to use was not functioning
Sergio Aguero gave Manchester City an early lead before Schalke were awarded their first penalty
That was for a contentious handball by Nicolas Otamendi. They were then punished a second time as Fernandinho fouled his man
And that left City fans raging on social media. One said: "What in the world is going on? City dominating
#VAR is now up 2-1 vs #ManCity." Another added: "It's a shocking decision. The player is actively trying to avoid the ball and VAR goes against him
@ChampionsLeague sick decision. @ManCity unjustly punished there." A third explained: "Man City re getting robbed by the VAR…" Ex-City midfielder Michael Brown was adamant the first penalty should not have been given
He said: "There's no way it's deliberate handball. "Otamendi gets set, sees he's in trouble, that it's heading towards his arm
"He very quickly tries to put it behind his back but the ball is hit that quick at his arm that he can't get it out of the way
" Brown also criticised how long it took for a decision to be made with the use of VAR
He added: "It was probably the longest VAR in history deciding the right decision
"I don't think they knew. Then finally they give the penalty."

Man Utd news LIVE: PSG team news, Solskjaer warning, Martial handed Ronaldo challenge - Duration: 6:08.Man Utd news LIVE - Monday, February 11Team news ahead of Champions League clash with PSGOle Gunnar Solskjaer closing in on permanent Old Trafford jobAnthony Martial challenged to be as good as Cristiano RonaldoManchester United linked with Fulham starlet Ryan Sessegnon11am UPDATE: Crooks praises Martial and Pogba BBC Sport pundit Garth Crooks has praised Anthony Martial and Paul Pogba
On Martial he said: "His goal at Fulham was simply superb. He went past Fulham's Denis Odoi and Maxime le Marchand as if they weren't there
"The France international then calmly stroked the ball past Sergio Rico into the back of the net to send United fourth in the table
United's total resurgence must be killing Jose Mourinho." On Pogba he explained: "The win at Fulham was a walk in the park for Manchester United and Paul Pogba
"The France midfielder scored two goals and spent most of the match strolling around Craven Cottage like he was the Lord of the Manor
"He then came off the field after 74 minutes, presumably to save his legs before United's Champions League fixture against Paris St-Germain, to a standing ovation
"The harsh truth for Fulham is that United looked as though they were in a different league
If Fulham continue to play like this, they very soon will be."10.40am UPDATE: £50m Sessegnon eyed Manchester United are ready to pay £50million for Fulham's highly-rated left winger Ryan Sessegnon, who is stalling on a new deal
Manchester United have noticed that talks are not going well between the Premier League strugglers and the England Under-21 international, who has only 18 months left on his contract
Sessegnon, 18, helped Fulham to win promotion last season but appears reluctant to stay if they drop back into the Championship
Sessegnon has seen his playing time limited under new boss Claudio Ranieri, who suggested that the left-sided player needed to be 'more nasty' to secure a place in his first-team plans
10.20am UPDATE: PSG changes expected Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is set to revert to his favoured line-up for the Champions League showdown with PSG
That means Victor Lindelof, Jesse Lingard and Marcus Rashford are likely to start at Old Trafford tomorrow night
Anthony Martial and Alexis Sanchez will fight for a starting place on the left for Solskjaer's side
Expected Manchester United XI: De Gea; Young, Lindelof, Bailly, Shaw, Matic, Herrera, Pogba; Lingard, Martial, Rashford10am UPDATE: Man Utd warned against hiring Solskjaer Jamie Redknapp has told United they cannot hire Ole Gunnar Solskjaer if the club fail to finish in the top four
He told the Daily Mail: "When Ole Gunnar Solskjaer took over from Jose Mourinho in December, the top four was the last thing on anyone's mind
Steady the ship and restore some pride, those were the objectives. Possibly have a run in the FA Cup, too, but not qualify for the Champions League
"Saturday's victory over Fulham, Solskjaer's eighth in his nine Premier League games so far, lifted United into the top four for the first time since the opening weekend
"Now, they are the favourites to stay there — and finishing above Arsenal and Chelsea has to be his goal
"Once again, Arsenal are struggling on the road. They have not strengthened an error-prone defence that is yet to keep a clean sheet in an away game
"Chelsea — United's other rivals for fourth place — are woefully inconsistent, losing 2-0 to a poor Arsenal side, 4-0 at Bournemouth and now 6-0 at Manchester City
Fail to finish above both these teams and Solskjaer cannot get the job full-time
"9.40am UPDATE: Martial challenged to be as good as Ronaldo Anthony Martial has been challenged to be as good as Cristiano Ronaldo by Solskjaer
"He does have similarities, of course," said Solskjaer. "It was towards the end of the game and we played a very poor game and Cristiano scored it," he said of his former team-mate's goal in a 2-1 win
Ronaldo won eight major trophies at the Red Devils and Solskjaer thinks Martial can be just as successful
"If he wants to be at Cristiano's level, Anthony knows what he has to do," he added
"It's up to him. He has the talent."

Between 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. However, it will not be a clean transition.
The steady snow and rain will taper off everywhere by 3:30 p.m. Then, scattered snow and rain showers will be present. A better band will push in around 5 p.m. With this, a mix of snow, sleet and rain will be present. By 7 p.m., it will all be rain.
This spells better news for the p.m. commute, as scattered snow means roads can fare better.
Most precipitation starts as snow high up in the sub freezing atmosphere. However, the size of the warm, over 32 degree, layer in the atmosphere determines whether we are wet, white, or somewhere in between.
I like my snow map that was first created on Monday afternoon. Looking at snowfall totals so far, this map will line up well.
Coating to 2 inches: All the barrier islands, the shores of the Delaware Bay in Cumberland County and mainland Cape May County south of Dennis Township.
2 to 4 inches: Inland most of Cumberland County, Dennis Township, Woodbine and Upper Township in Cape May County, mainland Atlantic County and mainland Ocean County.
Rain will wash away the snow Wednesday night. Winds will remain on the lighter side overnight. A secondary low may develop offshore, giving us heavier rain after midnight until the early morning Thursday. Temperatures will rise through the 40s. Spotty areas of roadway and creek flooding will be possible given the 0.50 1.00 of rain plus the melted snowfall.
The rain will then end between 5 a.m. to 8 a.m. The sun will come out during the afternoon as winds pick up out of the northwest around 10 mph. High temperatures will be mild, without a real punch of cold air behind the system. Temperatures will rise into the mid and upper 50s.
The shores around Cape May saw minor flood stage during the Wednesday morning high tide. High tide looks to be more widespread during the Thursday morning cycle. However, it will be minor stage at worst.
Only the most susceptible spots will see flooding during this time. Places include West Atlantic City, Atlantic City, Ventnor, North Wildwood and Ocean City. Move your cars if you need to and be prepared for water on the first block or two of bayside roadways.
Thursday a.m. high tides will be between 9 a.m. to 10 a.m., later in the Delaware Bay and back bays.
A Code Blue alert, intended to assist municipalities in protecting vulnerable citizens during cold weather, is in effect for Ocean County
In Ocean County, the Office of Emergency Management issued an alert through Thursday between the hours of 6:00 p.m to 8:00 p.m.
A Code Blue is required within 24 to 48 hours of one of the following, based on National Weather Service forecasts: temperatures 25 degrees or lower without precipitation, 32 degrees or lower with precipitation or wind chills at or below 0 for a period of two or more hours. Warming shelters are located in Toms River and Lakewood.
Atlantic City Electric is monitoring the system. In recent past, they have taken steps to strengthen the grid for this upcoming season. This past year, they spent dollar 312 million to modernize the local energy grid, perform maintenance and inspections, and enhance existing infrastructure.
To prepare in case the power goes out, here are some tips they recommend.

Man City News - Man City have 'scary' advantage over Liverpool in Premier League - Owen Hargreaves - Duration: 2:47.That is the opinion of BT Sport pundit and former Manchester City midfielder Owen Hargreaves
Hargreaves was discussing City star Kevin De Bruyne ahead of the Champions League last-16 first leg against Schalke on Wednesday
De Bruyne has missed a large part of this season due to injury but City are still competing on all four fronts
They are top of the Premier League table, ahead of Liverpool on goal difference, in the final of the Carabao Cup as well as in the quarter-final of the FA Cup
And Hargreaves claims Liverpool would not have been able to cope without top-scorer Mohamed Salah like City have with De Bruyne
"It's scary to think how good Manchester City are and he hasn't even played really," Hargreaves said
"Just what they've achieved with him missing all those games. "I don't think Liverpool could do that with Mo Salah missing games
"He was, with Mo Salah, probably the best player in the Premier League last season
"So with him back, fit and healthy, Manchester City are without question a better team
"He'll play these bigger games and he's fresh now, which is great." Former Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand says De Bruyne is the best player in the Premier League and has returned to full fitness at the best time
"Pep [Guardiola] will be delighted that he's getting him back at this stage of the season," Ferdinand said
"This is where the trophies begin to be handed out. "This is where he's going to be coming back in fresh and we all know his ability and ability to affect games, dictate games and end games
"He's a fantastic player, the best player in the Premier League last season. "One thing as well that Pep would have learned is that they can actually do without him still as well
"They're a better team I think with him but they can still do enough without him
"

Royal news : Prince George and Princess Charlotte's nanny banned from saying THIS word - Duration: 2:55.Maria Borrallo trained at the prestigious Norland College in Bath. The elite nanny school teaches its students not to use the word "kid", according to Norland expert Louise Heren
Ms Heren said: "The word kid is banned. It's a mark of respect for the children as individuals
" Instead, they should be called children or by their names. And it is likely that Madrid-born Ms Borrallo has stuck to the rule since becoming George, five, Charlotte, three, and little Prince Louis' nanny
Ms Heren added that Prince William and the Duchess of Cambridge's three children are likely to live "pretty normal" lives
She told the Mirror: "Given what we have seen of Catherine when she is out in public, she's very hands on
"I imagine her relationship with Maria is very close and they collaborate greatly on the care of the children
"I've spoken to nannies who have worked with other royal families and life is pretty normal
"You get up, have breakfast, you go to school and you wear your school uniform whether you like it or not
"It would be quite like the average British schoolchildren." Ms Borrallo is often spotted with George, Charlotte and Louis - who celebrates his first birthday in April - when they are out in public
The royal nanny is usually wearing the distinctive brown Norland uniform when she is on duty
It comes after Ms Heren previously revealed that Kate and William's children would have a "no nonsense" upbringing with their Norland nanny
Speaking to the Sun, she said: "There will be no messing. That's because Maria will be aware that as they step off planes, holding mum's hands, smiling and waving to the crowds, there can't be any crying or terrible twos or tantrums
"It doesn't have to be strict. Just because Norland nannies wear the brown uniform, they look quite old-fashioned, that doesn't mean their message is old-fashioned
It's no nonsense." Norland College has trained more than 10,000 nannies since it was founded in 1892

Tennis news - Kyle Edmund splits with coach Fredrik Rosengren - Duration: 1:21.Edmund has not played since crashing out of the Australian Open in the first round last month after a 6-3 6-0 7-5 defeat to Tomas Berdych which saw him drop out of the world's top 20
The 24-year-old Edmund reached the semi-finals in 2018, but has been suffering from a knee problem and was never really in the match against the experienced Czech
"Sad to announce Fidde is retiring from the tour," said Edmund on Twitter. "You've been an integral part of the team over the last year and a half and together we've reached a top 15 ranking, a Grand Slam semi-final and won a title in Antwerp in October
I will be forever grateful, enjoy retirement " He has dropped to 28 in the world, and has been forced to withdraw from tournaments in Marseille and Rotterdam this month
Edmund called the defeat to Berdych a "reality check" and admitted: "It just shows where I am at the moment, my level and stuff, and how much and where I have to improve

✅ Breaking News - Simeone warns Atletico against complacency ahead of Juve second leg - Duration: 3:14.Atletico Madrid boss Diego Simeone warned his side still have plenty to do after beating Juventus 2-0 in the first leg of their Champions League last-16 tie
Uruguay pair Jose Gimenez and Diego Godin struck in the space of five minutes late in the game in the Spanish capital to edge Atletico closer to a place in the quarter-finals
Juventus will bid to overturn a two-goal deficit in the return leg in Turin on March 12
'We know it will be difficult in Turin, I'm sure we will have to suffer a lot. I don't see any other way to do it,' Simeone told UEFA
com.Atletico had a penalty decision for a first-half foul on Diego Costa and substitute Alvaro Morata's goal ruled out after the video assistant referee made two crucial interventions at the Wanda Metropolitano Stadium

Share this article Share 'These are my boys,' a proud Simeone said. 'There are lots of things you can win, but you remember these moments of a competitive team

'Juve created several clear-cut chances themselves and were twice denied by Atletico goalkeeper Jan Oblak, who produced brilliant saves to keep out Cristiano Ronaldo's early drive and Federico Bernardeschi's late effort
Coach Massimiliano Allegri, whose side went close to overhauling a bigger first-leg deficit against eventual champions Real Madrid last season, also insisted the tie was far from over
'We were not dead after the 3-0 home defeat against Madrid last season and we are not dead now,' Allegri told UEFA
com.'We have to forget this defeat quickly and try to play better in Turin because against a team like Atletico you miss a pass and you are in trouble
'We'll have some players back and there's no point crying over spilt milk.'We got the approach wrong in the second half - it's that simple
These things can happen.'It will not be easy in Turin - we will need a great game, but I remain confident

Man City News - Video: Pep Guardiola criticises Manchester City players despite thrilling comeback - Duration: 1:21.Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola criticised his players after the 3-2 win over Schalke in the Champions League tonight
Despite a thrilling comeback from 2-1 down, City were perhaps unconvincing in certain areas against Schalke, having conceded two penalties and seen Nicolas Otamendi sent off in Germany
While City did enough to win tonight, it does perhaps raise questions about their ability to go all the way in this competition
Bigger tests lie ahead for Guardiola's side, and that's why he didn't seem the happiest man despite the result tonight: "We are not ready to fight for the latter stages, that is the reality

Man Utd news: Why Solskjaer WANTS PSG stars Neymar and Cavani to play in Champions League - Duration: 3:02.Neymar is struggling with a foot injury, while Cavani is struggling with a hip problem and neither will play any part in the first leg at least
While their absence does Manchester United's chances of progression no harm, interim manager Solskjaer expressed a desire to test himself against the world's best players and says it might take away from what promises to be a great occasion
"When you play against the best teams, you want to play against the players," Solskjaer said
"The crowd want to see the best players. Too bad for Old Trafford. "I have played a couple of games when we played Real Madrid and Ronaldo and (Luis) Figo and all those were coming to Old Trafford
That gives it an extra edge. "Unfortunately for Neymar he is injured, but of course he is a quality player
"I think our right-back thinks it is not too bad he will not be here." Solskjaer and United could hardly have hoped for a more difficult draw as they look to progress to the last eight of Europe's top competition
However, the ambitious Norwegian can seemingly do no wrong having led United to 10 wins and a draw in his 11 games since taking over from the sacked Jose Mourinho in December
And he says he has been relishing the prospect of facing the French giants ever since he took the reins at Old Trafford
Solskjaer watched the draw on television just one day before Mourinho was sacked and he said: "I thought: 'Wow, what a challenge'
"Then two or three days later I was in it. Suddenly it's my challenge, and I can tell you I've got goosebumps
"It'll be a fantastic night under the floodlights, the fans will be up for it and it will be a new experience for PSG as well
"They've been in England but they haven't been to Old Trafford, have they?" The United boss is reportedly on the verge of getting the United job full-time but admits the PSG game might be his biggest test since coming back to the club "Even without Neymar PSG have some great players, but now I have had 11 games to prepare for them I think I know what my players are capable of," the former Red Devils striker said
"This tie will bring out the best in them."

Royal news : Prince George and Princess Charlotte: When will royal children appear in public again? - Duration: 3:47.Prince George, five, and Princess Charlotte, three, always provide plenty of fun and laughter every time they are in the limelight
We saw a great deal of the two oldest Cambridge children last year in a momentous year for the Royal Family
George and Charlotte were pageboy and bridesmaid respectively for not one but two royal weddings
The young pros took a central role at Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's wedding in May 2018 before reprising their roles for Princess Eugenie's nuptials in October
They were also seen outside the Lindo Wing on April 23 when arriving to meet brother Prince Louis, followed by his christening in July
When will we see Prince George and Princess Charlotte next? There are not as many royal engagements this year so it is not certain when we will next see George and Charlotte out and about in public
The royal wedding of Lady Gabriella Windsor and Thomas Kingston takes place this spring but it will be a private affair on a smaller scale than last year's events
Some senior royals, including the Queen, are not believed to be attending so this may well include the Cambridge family
A more likely appearance will be at Trooping the Colour on June 8. But there could be a chance of the Cambridge family being seen in public for Prince Louis's first birthday on April 23
There has been no mention of an event yet from Kensington Palace but at the very least we can expect to see an adorable snap of the family
They were pictured in a heartwarming and relaxed picture for their annual Christmas card taken outside in the grounds of Anmer Hall
In the shot, Kate beamed with delight as she clasped Louis in her arms while William cuddled Charlotte and George
Why do people love Prince George and Princess Charlotte so much? Royal children have long been a fascination for the public but George and Charlotte particularly adorable and cute
Charlotte may only be three but has already established herself as a scene-stealer who is not afraid to show off her sassiness
The princess was caught sticking out her tongue to well-wishers while arriving by car for Meghan and Harry's wedding last May
And in a separate hilarious moment while leaving Prince Louis's christening for a post-baptism tea, she told photographers: "You're not coming
" Older brother George is also known for his messing about during royal events, especially when cousin Savannah Phillips is about
The duo enjoyed larking about on Buckingham Palace balcony last June, with Savannah even shushing George by placing her hand over his mouth while he was singing
