Chelsea news: Pedro makes Man Utd 'trouble' claim as Maurizio Sarri faces the sack - Duration: 3:56.

Chelsea were dumped out of the FA Cup by United shortly after their 6-0 humbling by Manchester City in their last Premier League game

Manager Maurizio Sarri is now under intense pressure and owner Roman Abramovich is reported to be considering his future

Sarri will remain in charge for Chelsea's Europa League clash with Malmo on Thursday as they look to make put their poor form around immediately

They hold a slender 2-1 lead going into the second leg of the last-32 tie. And Pedro says it is a must-win game for the players and the manager

"It's a pity because it was a good opportunity for us to continue in this competition," the Spaniard said on the United game

"It was a very bad day for us, for all the team. It's a difficult situation. "In the first half we played very well, we created chances to score one goal, but they had two situations and scored two goals

"The most important thing was to do a good job creating chances with the ball in the second half, but we couldn't do it and for this reason it was so difficult for us to come back

"There is an important game in the Europa League for us, and, after, the final against City

"The most important thing now is to stay calm, train really hard and recover our best football and our best feeling, because if not we are in trouble

" Sarri echoed Pedro's words about the United game but insists they were not as bad as the result suggested

"I think with the result we were unlucky because in the first half we played better than the opponent and at the end of the first half it was 2-0," he said

"In the second half it was really very difficult to play. They are a very physical team and defended low and compact

" More worryingly for Chelsea fans, Sarri also admitted he was confused by the way his side played in the second half

"We played confusing football in the second half but in the first half we played well," he added

"We need to be more aggressive and determined with situations in our box and the opposition box because the difference was there

"We played 78 balls in the opposing box and United played only 16 in ours, but the result was 2-0, so that was the difference

" Asked whether he still had the support of his struggling players, he continued: "I think so

"Of course I'm not sure, but I think so. I think the situation with the players is very good in terms of our relationship but that's not so important

"What's important is to play and get good results but my relationship with the players at the moment is good

Man Utd news: Pundit reveals what Jose Mourinho was thinking during Chelsea FA Cup win - Duration: 2:55.

The Portuguese boss was sacked by Manchester United in December following a dreadful start to the season in which he lost the backing of board and supporters

Since his departure he's had to sit back and watch Ole Gunnar Solskjaer rejuvenate his old players, which can't be easy

They've lost just once since he took over, in last week's Champions League last 16 first leg against Paris Saint-Germain

Chelsea, who Mourinho has previously managed twice were beaten 2-0 by United in the FA Cup to heap further misery on Maurizio Sarri

Pundit Lee Dixon has revealed how Mourinho would be feeling if he was watching the game

"I think it will be hurting him, it's his team and he failed to motivate them," he told the Football Daily Podcast

"There was obviously a down in tools scenario going on. "Now they look different players, that spirit that Ole [Gunnar Solskjaer] has come and brought in, that will carry them through towards the end of the season

"You expect them to get fourth now, you'd expect them to go and get to the FA Cup final

"Can they overturn the PSG result? Everything is going well for them, the fans are fully behind everything he's doing

" The Norwegian is adored by his former supporters after successfully implementing a fearless style of attacking football, a complete contrast to life under Mourinho

John O'Shea believes that's why his former team mate is getting the best from the squad

"They want to attack, they want to play positive football and go to their strengths," he said

"That's been so apparent in the last few months, that's what's got them the great run of results

"They have come unstuck against PSG but plenty of teams have come unstuck against PSG

"They've got that quality, [Kylian] Mbappe is the star man. "The next few months United are now going into it with renewed energy and it's great to see again

"

Royal news : Kate will play guardian to 'mischievous' Prince George at Princess Eugenie's Royal Wed - Duration: 3:12.

It is likely the Duchess of Cambridge will play the role of guardian to children at Princess Eugenie's wedding on Friday

Royal insider James Brookes predicted that it will be similar to what people saw at Prince Harry's wedding

Mr Brookes exclusively told Express.co.uk: "We saw that with Harry and Meghan, Kate did step up and take a role there

"So I wouldn't be surprised if we do see her play the role of guardian as much to not only George and Charlotte to make sure they behave, but also to make sure any of the other pageboys and flower girls are on their best behaviour too

"So fingers crossed there's no childcare issues on the day." The royal expert also spoke about George's "mischievous" behaviour in front of the cameras, despite his timid nature

He said: "Naturally George is a little more mischievous when it comes to the cameras

"It's weird because he's seen as a relatively shy little boy, when you see him out on the engagements that we have seen

"When he was younger he was quite shy and reserved, then again when he went in to actually see Prince Louis after he was born, he didn't really want to give too many waves towards the camera

"He was looking down, compared to his sister Charlotte who gave the cameras a lovely big wave, she's quite bubbly and active in that sense

" Discussing what to expect from the Duchess of Cambridge in terms of preparing the children for Eugenie's wedding, Mr Brookes said: "Both of them will have been given a good talking to beforehand just to make sure that they understand how important it is

"They understand that they do need to behave and they need to make sure that they're on their best behaviour, and I think that'll be the case for this wedding

"It depends obviously on who they're sharing the page boy and flower girl duties with

" According to Buckingham Palace, the bridesmaids and page boys at Eugenie and Jack's wedding will include Princess Charlotte and Prince George

The Queen's adorable grandson and granddaughter are no stranger to taking on a starring role at weddings

They both had the roles at the wedding of the Duchess of Cambridge's close friend, Sophie Carter, last month, as well as at the weddings of Prince Harry and aunty Pippa Middleton

Man City News - Liverpool news: Pep Guardiola makes bizarre admission over title race and Champions - Duration: 3:01.

City face Schalke in the Champions League tonight, as they look to keep their hopes of a quadruple intact

However, they will travel to Germany without John Stones and Gabriel Jesus. Guardiola's side are currently top of the Premier League, but second-placed Liverpool have a game in hand

Jurgen Klopp's side face Manchester United on Sunday and have the opportunity to go back to the top of the table

On Sunday, they will take on Chelsea in the Carabao Cup Final, as they look to win their first trophy of the season

Liverpool are only competing on two fronts - in the Champions League and Premier League title race - so will have fewer games to play in the final stretch of the season

But Guardiola insisted that he is still confident of making a run at all four trophies

"You never know, I would like to be 10 or 12 points in front of Liverpool, honestly, but that's not normal," he said

"I believe the team after three seasons are doing better things than the first season

We've been together a long time and we know each other better. "But this competition is special

The teams are good, the atmosphere, you have to suffer the bad moments, survive them and in the right moments make the difference

"We arrive with many dreams in our heads. "In 12 games we won 11 and you can lose once

The players are quite well and it's a challenge for us. "You cannot go through if you are not yourself, if you do not give your best performance

You will be out sooner or later." Guardiola also played down the significance of Liverpool still being in the title race, insisting that they belong to be in contention

"When people say it would be an incredible achievement for Liverpool to win the Premier League, it's Liverpool! They have incredible trophies in their backroom," he continued

"For us it's nice to be there every season and fight with them - especially the last two seasons

Royal news : Royal SNUB: Prince William's surprise answer to Kate Middleton marriage question revea - Duration: 3:16.

Prince William and Kate Middleton announced their engagement in 2010 after eight years of on-and-off dating

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge married in 2011 at Westminster Abbey in front of millions of people

The royal couple have been happily married for seven years now, welcoming their three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis  along the way

However, William was not always sure about his future with Kate. In a press photocall during a skiing trip with Prince Charles and Prince Harry in 2005, William was asked whether he and Kate would be next to walk down the aisle

In response, William laughed before saying: "No, I don't think so." William had previously shunned Kate with comments to the press about marriage

According to 2011 book "The Making of a Royal Romance" by Katie Nicholl, William once shunned any suggestion that he would marry his long-term girlfriend soon

In an interview when he was only 22 years old, William replied to a question regarding marriage with: "Look, I'm only 22 for God's sake

I'm too young to marry at my age. I don't want to get married until I am at least 28 or maybe 30

" William even went on to hint his younger brother, Prince Harry, would wed before him

The Mail on Sunday's royal correspondent Ms Nicholl explained: "If it hurt Kate when William hinted that his younger brother Harry was more likely to tie the knot before they would, she didn't show it

" Kate is said to have insisted she was also in no hurry to get married and settle down, but "in truth she longed for security"

William is believed to have been very aware of the circumstances his father, Prince Charles, and his mother, the late Princess Diana, were in when they wed

"He was aware his father had been pressurised into marrying Diana because she was deemed the suitable bride," Ms Nicholl explains

"He was reluctant to bow to similar pressure and vowed not to be hurried to the alter

He made his feelings clear, telling a journalist in an off-guard moment that he had no plans of getting married any time soon," she added

When Kate and William finally married, they were both 29.

Liverpool News - 'His haters are nowhere to be found' – These Liverpool fans react to action-packed - Duration: 1:56.

The Liverpool fanbase had a lot to reflect on after the first half of their clash against Bayern Munich was jam-packed with golden opportunities that both sides wasted

The game got off to a flying start with both sides threatening one another, the first goalscoring opportunity came for Bayern when Robert Lewandowski's close-range effort was blocked by Alisson

Take a look at the Brazilian's clutch save here. Liverpool had a chance of their own in the 32nd minute, winger Sadio Mane had the entire goal to aim for but somehow managed to fire his shot far wide

Take a look at Mane's horror miss here.  One thing to come out of the first half that will give Liverpool fans some confidence heading into the second-half and more importantly the second leg is that Bayern right-back Joshua Kimmich picked up a yellow card in the opening 45 minutes – meaning that he will be suspended when the two sides meet again

There were plaudits for midfielders Jordan Henderson and Naby Keita from fans at halftime and rightfully so the Liverpool faithful slammed Mane for his missed chance

Henderson won the most of the praise from fans, the England international is often unfairly written off by fans but the 28-year-old hasn't put a foot wrong so far today

Check out some reaction below:      This fan clearly wasn't happy with Mane's miss:

✅ Breaking News - Rio Ferdinand: Bayern Munich pulled off a 'tactical masterclass' - Duration: 3:35.

It was a dry Champions League night all round as Bayern Munich and Liverpool played out a 0-0 draw at Anfield while Lyon held Barcelona in the other round of 16 match

Both Liverpool and Bayern Munich have been scoring for fun this season, with attacking threats such as Roberto Firmino, Mohamed Salah, Robert Lewandowski, and James Rodriguez on the pitch

It could be said both teams had makeshift defences too, but neither team managed to score

Pundit Rio Ferdinand believes Bayern pulled off a 'tactical masterclass' to keep Liverpool out

Share this article Share Speaking on BT Sport at half time, Ferdinand spoke highly of Bayern's switch up from their normal tactics

'They've defended well, the professionalism, the experience they've used in keeping the full backs back, this manager has played a masterclass,' he said

David Alaba and Joshua Kimmich play in defence for Bayern but are often a key part of their attacking force

Kimmich already has 10 assists in the Bundesliga this season. However, Bayern Munich rarely posed a threat on the front foot against Liverpool

'In games we've seen previously these full backs have played high up the pitch. They know where they are, they're at Anfield, and space and speed will kill them here

' After a 0-0 draw, Bayern will now have to score at home. Kimmich is now suspended for the return leg after picking up another yellow card, and Bayern will likely miss his attacking talents

At full time, Ferdinand further solidified his point. 'It was a tactical masterclass from the Bayern team,' he said

'They identified the strengths of the Liverpool team, pace, exploiting space, they never gave them that

'Two of the possibly most attacking full backs in European football, they barely went forward today

It was a great feature of the game. It was a tactical chess match between the two teams

'Despite the tactical display from Niko Kovac and his Bayern Munich team, Ferdinand still believes Liverpool have enough to progress through to the next round of the Champions League

Predicting a 3-1 win for Liverpool before the match, he was surprised the match ended 0-0, but still backs them for the second leg in Munich

'If I'm a Liverpool fan I'd be the happier of the two,' said Ferdinand. 'I feel i can go there and score

I'm confident Liverpool will go through, because of the attacking prowess they've got, the devastation they wreak

'Bayern are going to have to come out a little bit more at the Allianz. They do that, that's when this Liverpool team will come alive and be able to pick them
