 At around 5pm, Barcelona released a statement on their website which said: "FC Barcelona and Denis Suarez have reached an agreement for the extension of the player's contract with the club, which ended on 30 June 2020, until 30 June 2021

 "FC Barcelona have also agreed a loan deal for Suárez with Arsenal for the remainder of the 2018/19 season

 "The Premier League club will pay the player's salary during this time and the agreement includes an option to buy

 "The Galician midfielder puts an end to his second spell at Barça after featuring for Barça B in the 2013/14 season and for the first team since the summer of 2016

 But around half an hour later the article had been removed from Barcelona's website and Arsenal were yet to confirm the deal themselves

 Suarez arrived in London earlier today for a medical and to put pen to paper on the deal which keeps him at the Emirates until the end of the season

 Meanwhile, Arsenal legend David Seaman feels the club are making a mistake by signing a midfielder over defensive additions

 Arsenal were without three senior central defenders in the win over Cardiff and Nacho Monreal was forced to deputise in that position

 The Gunners have been linked with Chelsea defender Gary Cahill but manager Unai Emery has stated his desire to sign forward players

 And Seaman says he is growing frustrated by Arsenal defensive woes. Seaman told talkSPORT: "We don't need midfielders, we need defenders

 "We've got big injuries to quite a few of them already, we need good defenders coming in

 "Emery knows him [Suarez] and likes what he sees, but for me we're crying out for defenders

 "We're great going forward, but what's happening with the defence? It's just not got any better all season

At the moment it's not working. It's frustrating."

Chelsea transfer news: Why Eden Hazard will be pleased with Gonzalo Higuain deal - Nicol - Duration: 2:03.

 That is according to Liverpool legend and ESPN FC pundit Steve Nicol. Higuain is set to finally complete a move to Chelsea this week

 The Argentina international will join the Blues on an initial six-month loan with a possible option of a further 12 months

 Higuain has been Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri's primary striker target this month as he looks to bolster his frontline

 The pair know each other well from their time at Napoli, where Higuain scored 36 goals in 35 Serie A games under Sarri

 And Nicol believes Sarri will bring Higuain straight into his starting XI at Stamford Bridge, allowing Eden Hazard, who has played as a false No 9 in recent weeks, to play in his favoured wide role

 "Higuain's key," Nicol said. "Craig [Burley]'s been talking about playing people out of position

 "If they get Higuain, straight off the bat Hazard goes to his best spot. "That's huge straight off the bat

" Chelsea are currently fourth in the Premier League, three points clear of Arsenal and Manchester United who are level on points in fifth and sixth

 Despite the Gunners currently higher in the table on goal difference, Nicol believes United will be the team to challenge Chelsea the most for the final Champions League qualification spot

 "I would go with Manchester United," Nicol said. "They're a completely different team than the one we saw under [Jose] Mourinho

 "Yes, you can argue they haven't particularly played huge opposition. "But they are on the rise, absolutely

Chelsea transfer news: Maurizio Sarri ready to AXE Cesar Azpilicueta for new signing - Duration: 2:28.

That's because the Blues boss wants to sign Napoli right-back Elseid Hysaj.  The defender is valued at around £45million and Sarri's transfer plans could risk alienating his squad even more

  The Italian criticised his players following the 2-0 Premier League defeat to Arsenal at the weekend

  The Mirror claim Chelsea want to sign Hysaj on loan this month but Napoli are keen on a permanent deal to be done

     And if the Blues complete the signing of the 24-year-old, Sarri could risk the wrath of his squad by dropping Azpilicueta

  Chelsea have already signed Christian Pulisic this month although he has been sent back to Borussia Dortmund for the rest of the season

  And the Blues are hoping to complete a deal for Gonzalo Higuain before midday on Wednesday

  That would mean he could play against Tottenham in the second leg of their Carabao Cup semi-final on Thursday

   Sarri is eyeing Hysaj with Victor Moses and Davide Zappacosta set to leave Stamford Bridge this month

  Higuain enjoyed the most successful spell of his career under the Chelsea boss and will hope to replicate that form should the move be completed

  But questions remain on the future of Eden Hazard after he spoke again about potentially joining Real Madrid in the summer

  "I have won everything in England, apart from the Community Shield, but that doesn't mean that I'm leaving," he said

    "I have always said that I wanted to explore something different after England

But there are also things that might make me stay.  "After the World Cup, I wanted to leave, but in the end I stayed at Chelsea and I'm playing one of best seasons so far

  "So I don't think that I need a different challenge.  "But that doesn't mean that I will become better

"

Over the past few months, FEBC has been closely documenting the spiritual growth of the Yao

muslim population in Malawi.

The Yao muslims, many of whom are illiterate, are extremely thankful for the audio Bibles

and radio programs provided by FEBC.

The most recent field update states that the Yao people have begun to bear spiritual fruit—

avidly studying the Word and abandoning polygamy.

In December, FEBC Thailand's radio team visited Northern Thailand to meet listeners

and share the Good News of Jesus Christ.

The team visited local Mien churches in five villages, handing out radios and singing Christmas hymns.

The team also put on a Biblical stage performance that featured worship music

and had over 200 people in attendance.

In the final days of December, FEBC Mongolia's team began the launch of stations in two unreached

cities: Choibalsan and Baruun-Urt.

Together, these new stations provide over 60,000 people with the chance to hear The

Gospel for the first time.

In addition to preparing to launch the stations, FEBC Mongolia's team handed out 100 radios

in each city.

In November of last year, the Ukrainian president imposed martial law on 10 regions of Ukraine

following a naval conflict with Russia.

After all evangelical churches were outlawed in rebel-controlled areas, FEBC Ukraine relocated

its transmitter to reach the affected areas.

Arsenal transfer news: Ivan Perisic claim made as Barcelona CONFIRM Denis Suarez exit - Duration: 4:09.

 The Gunners are desperate to bolster their ranks before tomorrow's deadline. Denis Suarez is inbound from Barcelona but Inter Milan winger Perisic has also been heavily linked

 England hero Chris Waddle, however, thinks Emery should abandon his pursuit of the Croatia international

 "I don't understand why Arsenal are targeting Perisic," he told Sportingbet. "Arsenal's issues are with their defence so Perisic won't make a difference

 "They have a lot of talent going forward so they should be focusing on bringing in defensive players not attacking players

" Transfer expert and journalist Duncan Castles reckons Inter Milan will do business with the north Londoners

 "They've made an offer to Internazionale for Ivan Perisic who has followed up that offer by requesting a transfer from Inter," he told the Transfer Window podcast

 "Inter appears to be open to the move. Their sporting director Beppe Marotta spoke after their game on Sunday and said, 'Many players ask for a transfer, Perisic has expressed this desire, we must try to satisfy him, respecting the asset value the player has for the club

' "So, the message there is, 'Yes we would be open to selling him to you, but we'll only do it if you make us a proper transfer offer

' "Remember this is a player that Manchester United have perused recently and who Inter turned down significant offers for in the not-so-distant past and gave a new contract to

" A loan move for Suarez, meanwhile, looks to have been rubber stamped with Arsenal unable to sanction permanent transfers this month

 Barcelona confirmed his exit earlier today before swiftly deleting the announcement

 After loan spells with Sevilla and Villarreal, Barça exercised the buy-back clause in his contact for him to return to Camp Nou

 "In total, Denis Suárez played 71 goals official matches in three seasons with the first team at FC Barcelona

He managed to score 8 goals and has won five trophies: a league, two Copas del Rey and two Spanish Super Cups

With Barça B he made 36 appearances." Suarez has played a peripheral role at the Nou Camp this season

 He has made just two La Liga appearances and isn't fancied by Ernesto Valverde.
