Good morning!

And welcome back to a new episode in which I'm going to take the engine off the atv.

With the atv lifted from the ground,

let me show you what's the problem for which I need to take the engine down.

When I rotate the rear wheel, listen to the noise that comes from the engine

This sound is not normal, the engine isn't supposed to sound like this.

This is one of the problems.

The second problem, if you look back there, at the rear driveshaft,

when I'm rotating the wheel, the driveshaft must also turn, ALWAYS!

The same thing should happen to the front driveshaft

But the front driveshaft isn't always turning when I'm rotating the wheel.

It rarely has small jerks when it wants to turn,

look, like it has now,

but it doesn't turn continuously like it should.

To take the engine down I have to take the front fender off, footwels,

And to take the front fender off I have to take the front rack off, the radiators,

the water radiator, oil radiator, snorkel, front bumper,

and most likely a lot of other parts.

Let's get started.

And that's how you take the front fender off.

Until now I disconnected all the cables and all the sensors from the engine,

I took the air intake body above the engine off,

I had to unscrew and move the front differential forward

so I could take the front driveshaft out of it.

Next step is to take the engine off.

Everything is off of it, all the hoses, front driveshaft, rear driveshaft,

CVT intake and exhaust boots,

cables, oil and coolant hoses,

exhaust pipes and muffler,

skid plate...

Let's take the engine off now.

What's actually making that sound coming from the engine? What's wrong?

I put the engine on a table,

I removed the lower crankcase from the engine,

And here is the front driveshaft,

the first inner bearing,

you can see here where it's cracked, these lines here,

The second thing that has created problems,

the secondary driven shaft is broken.

This is the side where the rear driveshaft engages,

inner gears connecting to the secondary driven axle,

the secondary drive gears, this one is engaged by this one,

From here there's an axle that connects to the front driveshaft.

Let me show you how the front driveshaft actually looks like now,

and how that bearing that should be here looks like.

Here's the bearing,

a part of it,

and the other part is still on this piece of broken axle,

And here's the front driveshaft.

The bearing is... completely destroyed!

That's all for now.

Now I'll have to wait until the spare parts arrive.

Some of them have been delivered,

but I still have to wait for a few of them that are being delivered all the way from the USA.
