Arsenal have agreed a deal with Barcelona to sign the midfielder on loan for the remainder of the season
The Gunners will then have the option to permanently sign the 25-year-old for £20million at the end of the season
The agreement has not yet been announced, but Luis has appeared to have confirmed Suarez's departure from the Nou Camp on Instagram
Alongside a picture himself hugging Suarez, Luis wrote: "Good luck little Galician in this new challenge
" Luis Suarez is himself a former target of Arsenal, with the club having made a £40m plus £1 bid for him in 2013 when the striker was at Liverpool
The supposedly triggered his release clause but Liverpool still refused to sell. Suarez's girlfriend Nadia Aviles also seemingly confirmed the Spain international's move to the Emirates earlier today in her Instagram story
A few hours ago, she uploaded a picture of Suarez with the accompanying caption: "Good luck my love
"I'm very happy for you and for being able to share this new experience with you
" Luis and Aviles' Instagram stories came shortly after Barcelona boss Ernesto Valverde claimed Suarez's move to north London was all but completed
"I know Denis was in this situation. It's not official yet and we have to wait a little," Valverde said
"It was a possibility that everyone valued, and we hope that things go well." Arsenal boss Unai Emery was quizzed about the status of the deal after his side's 2-1 victory over Cardiff on Tuesday night but kept his cards close to his chest
"There's no change in my idea, I think the same," Emery said. "If some players can come here to help us, they will come
"The latest news? I don't know. Today all my focus has been on this match. "I've not spoken with anyone at the club who is working on that
"Maybe tonight or tomorrow, I will speak about the latest news. "My idea is the same: if we can sign one player to help us, it's good for us
" Suarez has flown to London today and will undergo a medical at Arsenal's London Colney training ground
Should he pass his medical, he could make his debut against Premier League champions Manchester City - whom he used to play for - on Sunday afternoon
