APPLE'S 2018 iPhone X looks set to be announced within weeks but fans trying to get hold of

one at launch could be left hugely disappointed.

If all the rumours are true, we could see Apple unveiling its new iPhone X in just over

two weeks time.

The US technology firm is expected to reveal a trio of updated devices on September 12

at their headquarters in Cupertino.

There's no word yet from Apple on an official release but many experts believe the 12th

looks most likely for the big reveal and Express.co.uk has carried out our own research which backs

up this date.

Apple will no doubt confirm its next keynote soon but rumours and leaks are suggesting

some exciting announcements are inbound.

The biggest speculation is that three new iPhones will be unveiled at the September

event with an update to the current X possibly featuring an improved camera, processor and

more internal memory.

Alongside this refreshed phone, we could also see the launch of a bigger iPhone X Plus which

may include a giant 6.5-inch edge-to-edge display.

Perhaps the most exciting piece of gossip comes for those who want Apple's stunning

new bezel-free design without paying that £1,000 premium price.

It seems there could be a mid-range iPhone X unveiled in a few weeks that will offer

an all-screen look at a much cheaper price.

It's thought Apple will keep the cost down by including an LCD display and single camera

rather than the dual-lens offering on its flagship.

Rumours are also rife that this 'budget' iPhone will ship in a number of colour options

which is sure to be a hugely popular decision.

With a more affordable price and a range of styles to choose from this new phone is likely

to fly off shelves but one expert is warning they could be in short supply.

According to a report from 9to5Mac, analysts at GBH Insights have suggested more than 350

million iPhones could ship over next 12 months.

Man Utd news: Jamie Carragher picks three stars who are not good enough to play for United - Duration: 2:56.

Carragher was speaking after Manchester United suffered a 3-0 loss to Tottenham on Monday night

Centre-backs Chris Smalling and Phil Jones came into the starting XI for the match at Old Trafford for their first appearances of the season

They replaced Victor Lindelof, who came on for the injured Jones in the second half, and Eric Bailly, who was left out of the squad altogether

Carragher was focusing on the defenders on show last night and admits he feels sorry for Lindelof, claiming he is out of his depth in the Premier League

And the pundit says England internationals Jones and Smalling have been at United for far too long

"That's a team that still looks like it needs about £200m spent on it," Jamie Carragher said on Sky Sports

"Some of the defenders there, and let's forget about buying someone, we've said that, forget that

"We're talking about (Mauricio) Pochettino and the job he's done in terms of coaching players

"What has happened at Manchester United in terms of buying two £30m centre-backs? "Lindelof, I can't criticise Lindelof because it gets to the stage where I think he's just out of his depth

"You actually feel a little bit sorry for him really, he should not be playing at this level

"But in Jones and Smalling, have they improved since (Jose) Mourinho's come? "They're England internationals, they're not good enough for Manchester United

"Jones and Smalling have been playing for a long time for Manchester United now. "It shouldn't really be happening at that level

" United boss Mourinho wanted to sign a new centre-back in the summer but failed in pursuits for Harry Maguire and Toby Alderweireld, amongst others

The Red Devils visit Burnley this Sunday, looking to bounce back from two successive Premier League defeats

Referee announced for Cardiff City vs Arsenal - and it's mixed news for Gunners supporters - Duration: 1:57.

The referee has been announced for Arsenal's Premier League clash against Cardiff City this weekend

And, it is mixed news for Unai Emery's side.Anthony Taylor will take charge of the clash at the Cardiff City Stadium and the Gunners - well former manager Arsene Wenger mainly - have a very interesting history when it comes to this particular official

In the 2016/2017 season the Frenchman landed himself in hot water with the FA after protesting against referee Jonathan Moss' decision to award a stoppage-time penalty to Burnley at the Emirates Stadium

Wenger left his technical area but continued watching the game from the tunnel and when he was asked to move by Taylor, Moss' fourth official on that day, he appeared to push him and also had some unsavoury comments

Such behaviour earned him a four-game suspension from the touchline and a £25,000 fine

Then last season Wenger criticised Taylor's decision to award Chelsea a penalty in the 2-2 draw with Chelsea, labelling it "farcical"

Having overseen his first victory as Gunners head coach against West Ham United last weekend, Emery will be hoping that Taylor doesn't make any contentious decisions in Wales on Sunday afternoon

One worrying record for the north London outfit is that they've lost the last two games in which Taylor has refereed

That was the 2-1 loss at St James' Park against Newcastle United back in April as well as the north London derby against Tottenham Hotspur at Wembley a couple of months prior

However, it's not all bad for Arsenal as they beat the Blues in the 2017 FA Cup final with Taylor in charge and have only lost four of the 24 games in which he's officiated, winning 14 of them

The official from Manchester has taken charge of three games in the top flight of English football so far this campaign and it should be noted that the home side has emerged victorious in all of them

Arsenal News: Ozil 'should be let go', winger agreement this week, Torreira speaks out - Duration: 3:14.

Arsenal must show 'luxury player' Mesut Ozil the door next summer, former Liverpool striker Stan Collymore insists

Ozil, who only signed a new long-term, £350,000-per-week deal in January, has been widely criticised by fans and pundits for his lethargic performances in recent seasons

And Collymore wrote in The Mirror: "Arsenal should let Mesut Ozil go at the end of the season because he is not the soldier Unai Emery is going to need

"He requires more than technique from Ozil. Emery needs grinders and grafters. Players with less technique than him but more energy, heart and spirit

Ozil has coasted for the last two or three years and so have Arsenal. But Emery will have no intention of doing the same

"They should sit down with him, shake his hand and say tell him he is a cracking player, but also a luxury player Arsenal can't afford right now

Meanwhile, Arsenal starlet Reiss Nelson is reportedly set to join Hoffenheim this month

The 18-year-old will see his current contract expire next summer and talks over extending his terms have stalled in recent weeks

Nelson, who made 16 Gunners appearances last season, is yet to expire life away from the north Londoners

But according to Goal, the young winger is expected to join Bundesliga outfit Hoffenheim in the coming days

And finally, Arsenal new boy Lucas Torreira has lifted the lid on his start to Premier League life since arriving at the Emirates this summer

The Uruguay midfielder joined the Gunners from Sampdoria for £27m over the summer but he is yet to make his first start for the club

I'm really happy." Torreira said. "It's all very new for me because I've come from a different type of league

"The climate is different here and the way of life too, but I'm settling in nicely and training hard – the sessions are different too

"The confidence will grow with every game, so that's great.".Torreira, who made 36 Serie A appearances for Sampdoria last season, could start against Cardiff on Sunday

"I'm one of the newer players and I've just joined up with the squad," he added."There are a lot of young players and we're working very hard, with a lot of intensity

"We're getting to grips with what the coach wants from us and I think we've played some good football in the past few games

"We got our first win [Saturday's 3-1 against West Ham] which was massive for us, but there's a long road ahead and a lot of games to play
