Hello everyone.
Today we will be making homemade bow tie pasta, also known as farfalle.
Make the dough (durum wheat flour + water).
The dough should feel very dense.
Stretch it...
...with a pasta machine or using a rolling pin.
I am going to use a rolling pin.
Cut the pasta to create small rectangle-shaped pieces (3 x 2 cm / 1.2 x 0.8 in).
Firmly pinch the center and push the sides to the center.
Place the rectangle on your finger, pinch and push the sides.
Again: place the rectangle on your finger, pinch and push the sides.
Fresh pasta is very easy to cook.
Add the farfalle to boiling water and as soon as they start floating they are ready.
