The funeral for Aretha Franklin is scheduled for this Friday and in addition to the
already star-studded list of performers who will be paying their respects to the Queen of
Soul during the ceremony - we can now add Ariana Grande to the list.
Grande and Franklin first met when they both performed at the White House in 2014
for then President Barack Obama and former First Lady Michelle.
It's been said Franklin enjoyed meeting Grande at the time and Franklin's family
appreciated Grande's tribute to Aretha on 'The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon'
this month when the 'Sweetener' singer performed "(You Make Me Feel Like)
A Natural Woman" just days after the Queen of Soul's death.
In addition to Grande, Stevie Wonder, Jennifer Hudson, Faith Hill and Chaka Khan
will all be there to perform, among many others.
Former President Bill Clinton, Reverend Jesse Jackson and Motown legend
Smokey Robinson will also be there Friday to serve as speakers.
