Barcelona have offloaded Alcacer, 24, onto the German side this afternoon. Alcacer passed his medical and has signed a season-long loan deal at the Bundesliga side

And the striker has quickly moved to get involved with BVB, heading straight out to the training pitch after signing his contract

In a video posted on Dortmund's Twitter feed, Alcacer is seen going through some training drills as he looks to get straight into the first team

The short video suggests the player is keen to get on with life in Germany. Alcacer joined Barcelona from Valencia for around £26m in 2016 but struggled to break into the first team at the Nou Camp

Ironically, his efforts for minutes under manager Ernesto Valverde were handed a blow last summer when Ousmane Dembele arrived from Dortmund in a £134m deal

Alcacer could now be the permanent striker solution Borussia Dortmund have been seeking ever since Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Dembele exited the club in 2017

The Spain international said of today's transfer: "I'm really looking forward to playing in the Bundesliga soon

"This is one of the best leagues in the world. "BVB with these incredible fans and the famous South Stand probably has something magical for every footballer

" Dortmund have paid a £1.8m (€2m) loan fee to Barcelona for Alcacer, with an option to buy the player outright for £20

9m (€23m) next summer. Were he to sign permanently for BVB the deal would also include £4

5m (€5m) in incentive-related bonuses. Barcelona would also have a five per cent sell-on fee from any profit made on a future transfer of Alcacer as well

It is understood Alcacer could be in line to make his Dortmund debut against Hannover on Friday night

Dortmund won their opening league game of the season last week, edging RB Leipzig 4-1

Chelsea news: Huge Eden Hazard claim made about Blues owner Roman Abramovich - Duration: 2:56.

That is the verdict of Ian Wright, who thinks Abramovich is the lifeblood of Chelsea

Reports emerged over the weekend suggesting Abramovich - who has been in charge of the Blues for over 15 years - is ready to sell the club

It has been suggested he is looking for at least £2.5billion which would make it the most expensive takeover of a football club should a buyer be found

Hazard, conversely, has continuously been linked with a move to Real Madrid.  But Wright believes Abramovich's departure would be much more problematic than if Hazard heads for the exit door

"Chelsea fans reckon they struck gold by keeping Eden Hazard at Stamford Bridge after all the early summer talk he would head to Real Madrid," Wright told The Sun

"But if Russian owner Roman Abramovich decides to walk away, they could find themselves with a far bigger problem to worry about

"Should the Blues end up in new hands, I genuinely feel the celebrations at keeping Hazard will be short-lived

"If Roman did cut and run, I believe it would be a disaster for Chelsea FC — full stop

"Not just the club, either. The whole area, because you cannot undervalue or underestimate the impact he has had on the place

"I'm not about to turn this into a political rant but when his visa was turned down my blood was boiling

"With Abramovich, it has been the exact opposite. "Of course, he has pumped hundreds and hundreds of millions into the club, the facilities, the team and the rest

" Wright fears for the long-term future of the Blues, adding: "Make no mistake, they will suddenly find themselves in a hugely precarious position if he decides he's had enough

"And while that may put a smile on the faces of opposition fans, for English football in general it is a shocking thought

"There have been and will continue to be enough dodgy owners of clubs — we cannot afford to be ushering the good ones out of the door
