#BlackWomenAtWork stories about discrimination go viral after Bill O'Reilly and Sean Spicer's disrespectful remarks

White House spokesman Sean Spicer and Fox News anchor Bill O'Reilly stirred up a social media hornet's nest Tuesday with separate remarks that incensed black women from coast to coast. After O'Reilly suggested that Rep.

Maxine Waters was wearing a "James Brown wig," and Spicer dressed down a black reporter, April Ryan, for shaking her head as he spoke, offended black women took to Twitter in droves to share their experiences about workplace discrimination and disrespect.

"This happens to black women everyday at work," said Missouri-based activist Brittany Packnett, who kicked off the hashtag #BlackWomenAtWork after Spicer and O'Reilly's offending remarks. "Share your Maxine and April moments, so people dont think this is rare.

"Every black woman meets at least 3 @oreillyfactors and 5 @seanspicers a day.#BlackWomenAtWork" she tweeted moments later. "When I started #BlackWomenAtWork today I sadly knew it would trend. Not because Im special. Because I know how we get treated.".

The response was swift and unrelenting, with Rep. Waters herself being among the first to take a jab at OReilly and Spicer. "#BlackWomenAtWork face the double bind of gender and race," Brazille wrote.

Film director Gina Prince-Bythewood, who directed "Love and Basketball" and "The Secret Life of Bees," shared a degrading workplace parking lot experience.

"Pulling into my own reserved parking space and being told by a random WW that cleaning people cant park there," she wrote. "We have been talking abt this 4 years @Essence and sad not much is changing," she wrote.

Waters herself later tweeted using the hashtag. "I am a strong black woman. I cannot be intimidated, and Im not going anywhere. #BlackWomenAtWork," she wrote. O'Reilly later apologized for his remarks, calling them "dumb.

Meet SAM, Brick Laying Robot That Does The Work Of 6 Humans - tech and science - Duration: 2:09.

Meet SAM, Brick Laying Robot That Does The Work Of 6 Humans

In the latest installment of our "Dear Bernie" series, posts intended to inform the Vermont

Senator about the unintended, negative consequences of minimum wage hikes, we present SAM (Semi-Automated

Mason), a brick laying robot designed and engineered by Construction Robotics out of

New York.

While SAM can do the work of 6 unionized masons each day, he never requires a break, benefits

or a paycheck.

Each SAM can be rented at a monthly cost of ~$3,300 according to The Sun.

With an average efficiency of 3,000 bricks per day, that breaks down to about 4.5 cents

per brick.

Meanwhile, using using Bernie's preferred $15 per hour minimum wage rate, plus benefits,

and a daily efficiency of about 500 bricks brings the human labor cost equivalent to

roughly 32 cents per brick, or a little over 7x.

Of course, SAM can't completely eliminate the need for masons on work sites just yet,

as human assistance is still needed to load bricks and mortar into the system and to clean

up excess mortar from joints after bricks have been laid.

That said, Construction Robotics estimates that overall labor costs for bricklaying projects

can be reduced by at least 50%.

And while Bernie is unlikely to rent a SAM to construct his next $575,000 lake house,

we hear that someone may be taking bids for an impenetrable, yet "aesthetically pleasing",

30-foot border wall that will span nearly 2,000 miles.

See sam in action.

SARAH?

ART- DEWAYNE DENT LIVES RIGHT

ACROSS THE STREET AND HE JOKES

HE KNOWS WHEN THE ECONOMY IS

GOOD BECAUSE HE'LL SEE MORE

AND MORE TRAINS.

AND THAT MEANS IT GETS LOUDER

AND LOUDER.

<"there are three crossings,

that's 12 blasts on the

horn. *NAT horn* if you

are having a conversation or

watching channel 42 news

during that time, you are

going to miss whatever is

being reported." 15 sec

HE HOPES THE CITY WILL TAKE

ACTION BECAUSE HIS

NEIGHBORHOOD HAS SOLUTIONS.

THEY POINT TO A STUDY BY THE

REGIONAL PLANNING COMMISSION

COMPLETED LAST YEAR THAT

OUTLETS FOUR CHANGES THAT

COULD MAKE THIS AREA A QUIET

ZONE.

IT JUST TAKES THE COUNCIL SOME

INITIATIVE TO GET THE BALL

ROLLING ON THE PROCESS.

<"I would love to see some

progressive moves to improve

the quality of life, improve

the economic level of our

entire neighborhood. Actually

for safety as well." 14 sec

SOME OF THE SAFETY CHANGES TO

MAKE THIS A QUIET ZONE WOULD

BE CLOSING THESE CROSSINGS ALL

TOGETHER OR ADDING MORE GATES

AND SAFETY IMPROVEMENTS.

AT MINIMUM IT WOULD COST THE

CITY 40-THOUSAND DOLLARS.

AND IF YOU DON'T HAVE MUCH

SYMPATHY FOR THE PEOPLE WHO

LIVE HERE BECAUSE THE TRAIN

WAS HERE FIRST...WELL

INTERESTING NOTE ON THAT- THE

FEDERAL GOVERNMENT HAS RAISED

THE DECIBELS REQUIRED FOR THE
