The atmosphere in Kaliningrad is building ahead of tonight's crucial final group game between England and Belgium as fans of both countries arrive in the Russian city

Gareth Southgate's men will finish top with a draw providing they end the game with a better disciplinary record than their rivals, who have scored and conceded the same amount of goals as the Three Lions

But with both teams already assured of their places in the last 16, supporters were in good spirits as they settled in and mixed freely in the fan zone ahead of kick-off

A group of QPR supporters proudly displayed their 'R's on tour' St George's flag, while female fans of England and Belgium posed for pictures together

One Three Lions follower took the opportunity to whip his top off and show his England tattoo, with others grabbing replica World Cups as thoughts already begin to turn towards the knockout stages

Another Belgium fan was pictured wearing a red devil mask - a reference to the country's nickname - as he walked through the city, while another had his face painted black, yellow and red

Breaking News - Stoke and Middlesbrough in talks with Newcastle over £15m Matt Ritchie - Duration: 2:14.

Stoke and Middlesbrough are poised to mount rival pursuits of Matt Ritchie with Rafa Benitez uncertain of guaranteeing the winger a consistent starting role next season

Ritchie has grown into a firm fan favourite at St James' Park but the two Championship sides are prepared to test Newcastle's resolve

Initial talks over a £15million proposal are understood to have taken place. Benitez has trusted Ritchie with providing a creative influence from wide but the Newcastle manager is not sure of playing the 28-year-old in more than 25 matches next season and might be open to sanctioning a move

Ritchie wants to play every week and could be persuaded to once again drop a division to ensure that is the case, having left Bournemouth for Newcastle for £12m in July 2016

Ritchie helped Newcastle return to the Premier League at the first attempt before playing a key role in the team's 10th-place finish, making 35 Premier League appearances

But Benitez is looking for reinforcements for the coming campaign and could raise funds by cashing in on the interest in Ritchie from Gary Rowett and Tony Pulis

Eddie Howe is also interested in bringing his former player back to the south coast
