"malak", which means lip, and "malakli", which means "with lips", due to the lips
blacks, fallen and remarkable of the race.
History Aksaray Malakli is the name a dog breed
pastor from Turkey, who developed in the Province of Aksaray, one of the 81

the borders of its neighboring provinces. Limit with the provinces of Konya from the south and the

Origins. There is no evidence about the origin of the dogs
Malakli Ever thought it was a mixture of the English mastiff and Kangal, or the
English mastiff and Anatolian shepherd; but the American mastiff is the result of this
last crossing and presents an appearance different. Another possibility is that most
of the shepherd dogs in the Caucasian-Anatolia area evolved from the same breed of Mastiff Dog that
is the ancestor of the Caucasian Pastor, Alabai, Kangal, Akbash, Anatolian Shepherd and Mastiff
English.
Aksaray Malakli is typically a cattle shepherd, the cattle has been the most important source
of the livelihoods of the natives during centuries, then there were many flocks of
sheep and cattle in general, and these beautiful dogs were dedicated to protection and guard
of flocks with their owners, from time immemorial
The Aksaray Malaklisi, in the native region with often he was called "Anatolian Shepherd",
the reason for calling him that is not because Aksaray (city) and its surroundings is located
in the heart of Anatolia but because being very similar to the Anatolian Shepherd breed
(known as Karabash in the area), many breeders to sell them to interested breeders
in Anatolian Shepherd specimens, they said to future buyers that it was about
that race and not Aksaray Malakli.
I mean, for many years you sold dogs Aksaray Malaklisi saying they were of the race
Anatolian Shepherd.
But that custom was coming to the ear of everyone and things changed, they started
regulate breeding programs and hardened the requirements at dog shows,
after many breeders made claims.
Those claims began to be taken account, especially because although they retain
certain resemblance there are obvious differences in the head and the big feet of Aksaray Malakli
and the hanging lips.
