Happy Name's Day!!!
Hope you have a wonderful day
And best of luck !!
Leave me in the comments whoever is celebrating
I want to know
Today i'll talk about Romanian traditions
In this time of year
We don't have too many
I'm asking the girls now:
Did you remember to put basil under your pillow
The night between 5th-6th January
In order to see your pince charming in your dreams?
If you forgot, no worries
Stats say that in more than 50% of cases
The horse would have been a better option!!
HAHAHAH No joke!!!
So one of the traditions would be
Putting basil underneath you pillow
On the night of 5th January to 6th
So that the girls dream about their future husband
We get the basil from the church
Another tradition
In some areas in Romania children go caroling
Letting people know that the priest is coming
To bless their homes!!
As if he needed some kind of announcement!!!
At the same time, on the 7th of January
Everybody following the old orthodox calendar
Are celebrating Christmas today! So Marry Christmas!!
Hope you enjoy this day and Santa brings you
Everything you want!!
And last but not least
Today we celebrate Saint John!!
And from what i remember
Grandmother used to make me drink holly water in the morning
And wash my face with it.
To protect you from diseases all year
And make your skin glow
Traditions.... what can you do??!!
That's about it for today's video
