TRUCK SLAMMED INTO A HOUSE IN

MINNEAPOLIS THIS MORNING.

POLICE TOLD US LUCKILY NO ONE

GOT HURT.

LEGAL CHARGES MOUNTING OVER

DONALD TRUMP'S LEGAL EXECUTIVE

ORDER BANNING TRAVEL FROM SEVEN

MAJORITY MUSLIM NATIONS.

THEY STOPPED IMMIGRATION IN THE

COUNTRIES AND SUSPENDS THE

UNITED STATES REFUGEE PROGRAM.

MINNESOTA IS AMONG MANY STATES

ACCEPTING REFUGEES AFTER

THEY'VE BEEN INVESTED.

HOW MANY COME HERE?

WE'LL CHECK THE REALITY CHECK.

TRUMP'S ORDER POSING A

TRAVEL BAN IS SPARKING

NATIONWIDE PROTESTS INCLUDING

MINNESOTA.

MORE THAN 1,600 REFUGEES CAME

TO MINNESOTA LAST YEAR FROM THE

BANNED COUNTRIES.

MOST OF THEM FROM SOMALIA.

THE STATE DEPARTMENT OF HUMAN

SERVICES RESETTLEMENT PROGRAM

REPORTS 1,410 SMALLIES SETTLED

IN MINNESOTA LAST YEAR.

11 CAME FROM IRAN.

175 FROM IRAQ.

21 FROM SYRIA.

11 FROM SUDAN AND NONE FROM

LIBYA AND YEMEN.

NO REFUGEE FROM ANY ONE OF

THOSE COUNTRIES HAS EVER

COMMITTED A DEADLY TERRORIST

ACT IN MINNESOTA OR THE UNITED

STATES.

THE WORLD TRADE CENTER

TOWERSCOLLAPSED.

THE TRAVEL BAN WOULD NOT

HAVE STOPPED THE 9/11

ATTACKERS.

THEY WERE FROM COUNTRIES NOT ON

THE LIST.

OR THE SAN BERNARDINO SHOOTERS.

ONE A U.S. CITIZEN, THE OTHER A

LEGAL RESIDENT FROM PAKISTAN

NOT ON THE LIST OR THE ORLANDO

SHOOTER.

ALSO A U.S. CITIZEN.

IT'S NOT CLEAR WHAT

PRESIDENT TRUMP MEANS BY

EXTREME VETTING OF REFUGEES

FROM EFFECTED COUNTRIES, BUT

IT'S NOT TRUE THERE'S NO

INVESTING SYSTEM IN PLACE.

HERE IS THE PRAW VESCE --

PROCESS FROM THE OBAMA

ADMINISTRATION WHICH TOOK AN

AVERAGE OF TWO YEARS.

THE TRUMP ADMINISTRATION IS

SAYING TODAY ALL OF THIS IS

OVERBLOWN.

IT IS CALLING WHAT HAPPENED

OVER THE WEEKEND FOR TRAVELERS

AN INCONVENIENCE FOR A COUPLE

OF HOURS.

IT REPORTS TODAY THAT OF THE

325,000 PEOPLE WHO WERE

PROCESSED AT AIRPORTS OVER THE

WEEKEND, 109 WERE DETAINED FOR

FURTHER QUESTIONING.

NEVERTHELESS, THIS IS SPARKING

A LOT OF CONTROVERSY.

DEMOCRATS AND REPUBLICANS

ALIKE, MANY OF WHOM ARE CALLING

THIS UNCONSTITUTIONAL.

PAT, TODAY, THE PRESIDENT

BLAMED THE DELTA AIRLINES

OUTAGE IN PART FOR THE

PROCESSING OF THOSE REFUGEES.

YES, IT DID.

IT'S TRUE THAT HE DID.

IT'S NOT TRUE THAT THAT'S THE

REASON FOR ALL OF THIS.

LET'S REMEMBER, THAT THE

PRESIDENT'S EXECUTIVE ORDER

WENT INTO EFFECT ON FRIDAY

NIGHT.

THE DELTA COMPUTER OUTAGE

HAPPENED 48 HOURS LATER.

A LOT OF PEOPLE WERE SCRATCHING

THEIR HEADS ON THAT ONE.

THIS THING IS GOING TO BE

CONTROVERSIAL NO MATTER WHO IT

IS.

Frost advisory early Tuesday - Duration: 3:05.

WE WILL CONTINUE WITH THIS

BEAUTIFUL STRETCH, ALTHOUGH

TEMPERATURES WILL BEGIN TO WARM.

AT THIS HOUR, THIS IS A LOOK AT

DAYTONA BEACH, WHERE THE HALIFAX

IS NICE AND QUIET.

IT HAS BEEN A GUSTY WIND ALL

DAY, BUT WE HAVE BEGUN TO SEE

THE CALM AS TEMPERATURES ARE

SITTING AT 60 IN VOLUSIA COUNTY

AND DAYTONA BEACH.

DOWN THE ROAD, 59 IN NEW SMYRNA

BEACH AN DELAND, 61 FOR

SANFORD, ORLANDO, A OCALA.

62 IN WINTER HAVEN.

IMPAIRING TEMPERATURES TO

YESTERDAY AFTERNOON, WE ARE A

LITTLE WARMER ACROSS TOWN, 5, 6,

7 DEGREES WARMER.

WHEN WE CHECKED THE SATELLITE

AND RADAR, THINGS ARE NICE AND

CLEAR.

WITH CALMING WINDS AND CLEAR

SKIES, FROST IS A CONCERN, WHICH

IS WHY THE NATIONAL WEATHER

SERVICE ISSUED A FROST ADVISORY

FOR ALL OF CENTRAL FLORIDA FOR

OVERNIGH, UNTIL 8:00 IN THE

MORNING.

A FROST ADVISORY MEANS EVERY AS

FROST ARE EXPECTED, BUT

WIDESPRE POSSIBLE IN SOME

LOCATIONS.

THE TAKEAWAY, IF YOU HAVE

PRETTY, SENSITIVE PLANTS, PUT A

SHEET OVER THEM TO KEEP THE

FROST FROM DEVELOPING ON THE

FLOWERS AND PLANTS.

THAT SAID, AREAS IN PURPLE ARE

WHERE I HAVE HIGHLIGHTED THE

BIGGEST THREA, THE GREATEST

RISK.

WEST VOLUSIA COUNTY, ALL OF

MARION COUNTY, SUMTER COUNTY,

WESTERN LAKE COUNTY, AREAS AWAY

FROM THE METRO AREA.

BACK HERE TOWARDS LAKE

WASHINGTON AND BREVARD COUNTY

AND COMMUNITIES TEST INLAND

ACROSS TOWN.

THERE IS THE CLEAR SKY, 7:00.

TEMPERATURES DOWN T 56.

WE WILL HIT 50 BY 9:00 AND

CONTINUED DOWNHILL.

HE WILL SETTLE TO 48 AS I JOIN

YOU AT 11:00.

OVERNIGHT TONIGHT INTO TOMORROW

MORNING, THESE ARE THE ACTUAL

LOWS.

37 IN OCALA, IN THE VILLAGES.

41 IN THE METRO, BUT JUST

OUTSIDE THE METRO, READINGS IN

THE UPPER 30'S.

36 IN MELBOURNE.

THOSE BUILDINGS DOWNTOWN WILL

HOLD IN THE HEAT AS WE LOOK

AHEAD TO TUESDAY.

UPPER 60'S FOR MARION COUNTY AND

THE REST OF US, IN THE 70'S.

IT WILL BE A BEAUTIFUL DAY,

THOUGH A LITTLE WARMER COURTESY

OF THE SOUTHERLY WINDS.

THAT WILL HEL RING TEMPERATURES

UP A LITTLE.

THAT MEANS MAYBE YOU WILL HEAD

TO THE BEACH.

GREAT NEWS, SUR RUNNING 1-2

FEET.

A MODERATE RISK OF RECURRENCE

BUT I THINK EVEN THAT WILL BE A

LITTLE MORE RELAXED AS WE GET

INTO WEDNESDAY, THURSDAY, AND

FRIDAY, WHICH IS RIGHT WHEN THE

TEMPERATURES CLIMB.

A LOOK AT THE SEVEN-DAY

FORECAST, A CHILLY, FROSTY START

TO TOMORROW, BUT A GREAT

REBOUND.

71 IN THE AFTERNOON, 74 ON

WEDNESDAY.

NEAR 80 FRIDAY INTO SATURDAY,

AND MODELS SAY OUR NEXT FRONTAL

BOUNDARY SLIDES FOR LENT DROPS

TEMPERATURES OFF A LITTLE.

THE IMPORTANT THING, NO SEVERE

What goes into making an early dismissal call? - Duration: 1:46.

WE'VE GOT A LITTLE SNOW

HEADED OUR WAY TOMORROW...AND

THE TIMING... MAKES IT TRICKY

FOR SCHOOLS.MAKING THE CALL

FOR AN "EARLY DISMISSAL"...IS

ALWAYS A NAIL-BITER FOR

ADMINISTRATORS.NEWS 8

METEOROLOGIST SAM KANTROW HAS

MORE ON THE DECISION-MAKING

PROCESS.

YOUR CHILD IS THE MOST

PRECIOUS CARGO YOU HAVE SO

SCHOOL SYSTEMS THINK VERY

CLOSELY AND CAREFULLY WHEN

MAKING THE DECISION TO LET

KIDS OUT OF SCHOOL EARLY

BECAUSE OF ROUGH WEATHER. SO

WHAT IS THE PROCESS THAT THEY

GO THROUGH TO ENSURE YOUR

CHILD IS SAFE BUT STILL GETS

THAT 180 DAYS? LET'S FIND OUT.

WELL BEING A NEW ENGLAND

SCHOOL DISTRICT, WE ALWAYS

HAVE TO BE CONCERNED ABOUT THE

WEATHER AND OUR MAIN CONCERN

IS SAFETY.THIS IS WILL CLARK,

CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER OF THE

NEW HAVEN BOARD OF ED. HE'S

PART OF THE BIG GROUP OF

PEOPLE RESPONSIBLE FOR MAKING

THE CALL ON DELAYED OPENINGS,

EARLY DISMISSALS, OR SCHOOL

CANCELATIONS. THAT GROUP

REQUIRES A LOT OF COORDINATION.

FACILITIES DEPARTMENT, OUR

PARTNERS, PUBLIC WORKS, THE

BUS COMPANY, OUR EMERGENCY

OPERATIONS CENTER, AND

CERTAINLY OUR FRIENDS IN THE

MEDIA.FROM PHONE CALLS AND

EMAILS, TO ALERTING THE

PUBLIC, A LOT NEEDS TO BE

CONCIDERED BEFORE MAKING THAT

CALL. FOLKS HAVE PLANS, WORK,

OBLIGATIONS AND SO FORTH SO WE

HAVE TO BALANCE THOSE THINGS

AS BEST WE CAN.ULTIMATELY IT'S

THE SUPERINTENDENT OF SCHOOLS

WHO MAKES THE FINAL CALL, BUT

THAT DECISION DOES HAVE A LOT

OF IMPLICATIONS!IF YOU CALL

TOO EARLY AND IT DOESN'T SNOW,

PEOPLE CAN BE UPSET. IF YOU

CALL TO EARLY PEOPLE CAN BE

UPSET. IF YOU CALL TOO LATE,

AND YOU'RE IN A SITUATION

WHERE IT STARTS TO SNOW IT CAN

BE A PROBLEM. SO YOU WORK WITH

THE INFORMATION YOU HAVE AND

YOU DO YOUR BEST TO MANAGE

THAT.SO WHAT IS THE LIKELIHOOD

THAT KIDS WILL HAVE AN EARLY

DISMISSAL ON TUESDAY? WELL

BASED ON THE LATEST FORECAST

MODELS IT LOOKS LIKE THAT'S

RELATIVELY LIKELY SO MAKE SURE

YOU HAVE A BACKUP PLAN JUST IN

CASE THE KIDS DO GET OUT OF

SCHOOL EARLY. IN NEW HAVEN,

I'M METEOROLOGIST SAM KANTROW,

Constitutional Court's chief justice retires leaving 8 justices to rule impeachment trial - Duration: 0:36.

Let's begin at Korea's Constitutional Court... where the impeachment trial against President

Park Geun-hye is ongoing...

Chief justice Park Han-chul's term ends today... and he's set to give a farewell speech this

morning.

Eyes are focused on what message he will convey... as he's leaving the post in the middle of

the historic trial,... with his position most likely to remain vacant until after the trial

ends.

With that... the nine-justice court will run with just eight justices,... while another

Justice Lee Jung-mi's term ends in March.
