Science and technology are highly connected with our daily lives.
We need to encourage all the talent in The Hague and the rest of the country...
so that in the future the Netherlands can benefit once again, and of course Shell too.
If you show the kids how technology and energy work...
they will come up with lots of bright ideas.
And that is the purpose of the festival.
We want to challenge and encourage those kids.
And I think that works really well here.
Inside this dome, you can experience future cities in virtual reality.
You can have a look at cities like Tokyo, Dubai and The Hague.
Kids that join the workshop can design their own house, or rooftop pool...
and add it to the city.
I hope my 4-year-old son will understand that technology is really cool.
But I think he already likes it a lot.
The way I see it, everything he can learn here today...
is a plus to add to something he already loves.
Today I learned how to use a 3D printer.
I learned during the festival that there are many ways to improve the future.
I hope to learn more about energy, how it works and how to generate it.
Today's aim for the kids is to learn and see...
that everything here is useful to society.
They can get inspired by the multiple ways energy can be used...
and do something with it in the future.
It would be really cool to see self driving cars happening in the future.
