FIREFIGHTERS ARE BATTLING A

BLAZE OUT

IN CAMPBELL INDUSTRIAL PARK...

.. AND IT'S ALSO THE SECOND TIME

IN

THREE MONTHS THAT A BRUSH FIRE

HAS

BROKEN OUT IN THE AREA.

THE FLAMES ERUPTED OUT JUST

BEFORE

WIND

HELPED THE FIRE AND SMOKE TO

SPREAD.

MALAKOLE BECAUSE OF THE SMOKE

AND

PROXIMITY OF THE FIRE... But it

has

reopened.

YOU CAN STILL SEE SOME HEAVY

CONTAIN THE FIRE JUST BEFORE 3

THIS AFTERNOON, AND

Heavy smoke covered the street

and nearby

businesses in Campbell

due to the smoke inhalation

there's a lot of

material downstairs that we do

for bedding and a

lot of that material can collect

smoke in it and up

we don't have much ventilation

on air so it will

start filling up with smoke and

of course we cannot

company closed

down.

Other companies like I-

continued working.

it never got close to any bldgs.

and as it came

toward the street there wre

bldgs across the st

but we had fire apparatus

positioned. took care of it

right away

But today's gusty winds fanned

the flames.

initally we came w about 3

companies to start with.

the wind just blew it right past

them 19.38 and so

we had to continually call for

more companies as

the sitatuion dictated 19.46 as

it got away a

little bit we kept calling for

more companies

it's like right in the back

right over the fence

hopefully they will contain it

so that we have a job

tomorrow

here we had I close

the shop again because we are

upstairs there's

not ventilation up here

AIR ONE WAS CALLED TO THE SCENE

SKY TO POSITION THEMSELVES WELL
