CINDY: HOW ABOUT YOU HAVE BOTH.
WE HAVEN'T HAD MUCH SNOW.
SO FAR JUST OVER A FOOT IN
BOSTON.
TYPICALLY WE'VE HAD CLOSER TO 2
FEET AT THIS POINT IN THE
SEASON.
WE'RE GOING TO MAKE UP A LITTLE
BIT FOR LOST TIME.
WINTER WEATHER ADVISORIES FOR
SNOW GO IN EFFECT AROUND
NOONTIME AND WITH US THROUGH THE
WEE HOURS OF TOMORROW MORNING.
IT'S COLD FOR YOUR MORNING
COMMUTE.
IT'S THE EVENING COMMUTE THAT
WILL BE GREATLY IMPACTED BY SOME
SNOW.
IT'S GOING TO MAKE TRAVEL PRETTY
SLIPPERY AND WINDING DOWN EARLY
TOMORROW MORNING.
IT'S A FAST-MOVING CLIPPER
SYSTEM.
IT'S GOING TO BE MOVING RIGHT
OVER SOUTHERN NEW ENGLAND.
THAT'S GOING TO BRING IN SNOW.
LARGE SWATH MOVING INTO CENTRAL
PENNSYLVANIA.
SKIES ARE CLEAR AND IT IS COLD.
A LOT COLDER THAN THE PAST FEW
MORNINGS.
MOSTLY IN THE TEENS RIGHT NOW
OUT ACROSS THE MERRIMACK VALLEY,
THE NORTH SHORE, BEVERLY 18
DEGREES, 14 IN WORCESTER RIGHT
NOW, YOU'LL ONLY JUMP INTO THE
20'S TO NE THE FREEZING MARK
THIS AFTERNOON.
SNOW COMING IN BY 2:00 THIS
AFTERNOON FOR YOU.
ANY SUN IS SHORT-LIVED.
20 IN BOSTON.
LOWER 20'S ON THE CAPE.
HIGH TEMPERATURES ALONG THE
COASTLINE AS WINDS TURN
SOUTHEASTERLY AROUND THE
FREEZING MARK.
UPPER 20'S TO 30 DEGREES.
HERE YOU SEE WHAT HAPPENS AS WE
WATCH THE CLOUDS COME IN BY
LUNCHTIME.
SNOW MOVES IN QUICKLY.
BY 2:00, 3:00, SNOWING IN
WORCESTER, JUST GETTING INTO THE
BOSTON AREA, AND ALONG AND SOUTH
OF THE PIKE FOR THE EVENING
COMMUTE, WE HAVE DARKER BLUE
SHOWING UP.
THESE ARE SNOW BANDS THAT MAY
BRIEFLY ALLOW THE SNOW TO FALL
AT A MORE INTENSE RATE.
THAT WHOLE AREA OF SNOW
CONSOLIDATES INTO EASTERN
MASSACHUSETTS AND LIFTS
NORTHWARD.
BY 5:00 TOMORROW MORNING, THE
SNOW IS OVER SOUTH OF BOSTON.
IT MAY LINGER FOR A COUPLE OF
HOURS LONGER NORTH SHORE,
SOUTHERN NEW HAMPSHIRE.
WE'RE LOOKING AT A WIDESPREAD 2-
TO 4-INCH SNOWFALL.
SOME OF THOSE AREAS THAT GET THE
BANDS COULD BE CLOSER TO 5
INCHES OF SNOW.
WE'LL SEE TEMPERATURES START OUT
IN THE 20'S TO AROUND THE
FREEZING MARK AND WE'LL HAVE A
NICE SPRING UP IN TEMPERATURES.
A LITTLE MELTING WITH
BRIGHTENING IN THE AFTERNOON
THURSDAY IS GROUNDHOG DAY.
IT LOOKS LIKE THAT GROUNDHOG HAS
A GOOD CHANCE OF SEEING ITS
SHADOW.
LOOK AT THAT PATTERN.
FRIDAY, SATURDAY, INTO THE
WEEKEND, COLD TEMPERATURES
STRUGGLE TO REACH FREEZING.
WE'LL WATCH SUNDAY NIGHT AND
MONDAY FOR THE POTENTIAL OF
SNOW.
