Last weekend, Thurmansbang Solla / Loh met some of the world's toughest motorcyclists.
The 61st elephant meeting took place from 27 to 29 January.
Of course was arrived by motorcycle, the sidecar or trike.
The participants came from all over Europe.
Alexander Ignatov from Moscow had the longest journey.
3,858 km he had to go to the elephant meeting.
He and 3,116 more bikers stayed in the tent at really icy temperatures.

First of all, the snow had to be cleared away and the straw had to be laid out.
The meeting is definitely something for hard guys - and these are also some women.
The oldest participant is just before her 60th birthday.
Irmgard Zeilinger came of course with her own machine, a Yamaha Drag Star.
The 3.117 participants of the elephant meeting were visited by a further 1,976 people, who
wanted to see the spectacle.
The elephant meeting has existed since 1956 and was initiated by Ernst Leverkus, better
known as Klacks.
The cult motorcycle editor wanted at that time simply to know who was out there still
in the winter with the motorcycle.
His call was followed by about 20 Zündapp-KS 601 sidecar.
In the next year it was already 44.
The sidecars were called "green elephant" because of their strength and color.
Hence the name comes Elefantentreffen.
The first two meetings took place at the Solitude race track near Stuttgart.
As the meeting was getting bigger, the location had to change.
In 1961 it took place at the Nürburgring, organized for the first time by the BVDM.
In 1977, a few participants had problems with the police, which means the end for the meeting
at the Nürburgring.
Since 1989 the elephant meeting in Thurmansbang Solla / Loh takes place.
At the Nürburgring there is now again an elephant meeting, but not organized by the
BVDM.
On the same weekend as the elephant meeting, the Motorradwelt Bodensee took place.
This is a motorcycle fair with an extremely high proportion of shows.
Of course, the big motorcycle manufacturers were represented and one could look at the
new motorcycles very closely, which still come on the market,.
Some fair premieres were exhibited.
Of course everything else was also represented.

Motorcycle travel, race track training, motorbike transport, accessories, wearing parts ... - You
really did not miss anything.
Everything was represented.
This year, there was again the Best Bike Award.
The participating motorcycles were all really successful and a feast for the eyes.
But of course, always depending on your personal taste.
The best day to enjoy fairs and especially to take photos and videos is the Friday.
Just at the very beginning or just before closing it is not so crowded.

The trail shows were performed by Theresa Bäuml, Marvin Binder, Max Faude, Felix Heller,
Andreas Kindsvogel, Jan Peters and Armin Prutscher.
