Woods, who has had four back surgeries and played in just 18 events since March of 2014, has made a number of unsuccessful comebacks over the past years, but he believes this one will be different now that he's 100 percent.

"This is very different because last year I was still struggling with a little bit of pain and I was able to hit some good shots, able to play, but in looking back on it now, I look on it as playing in slow mo," Woods said.

"I didn't realize how bad my back had become and how much I was flinching and just how slow I was.

I didn't realize it because it's been a slow degrading process.

I thought I had some speed, thought I was playing halfway decent, shot some good scores, but now I've looked back on it and man, I didn't even have much at all.".

The real goal for Tiger this weekend likely isn't to compete for a victory, but rather to to simply stay healthy through four rounds.

Playing inside a stacked 18-player field, he has the third longest odds to win.

Jordan Spieth and Justin Thomas, who have helped lead the youth resurgence in Woods' absence the last several years, are the co-favorites, while Dustin Johnson, Rickie Fowler, Brooks Koepka and Justin Rose aren't far behind.

VOA News November 30, 2017 - Duration: 4:59.

From Washington, this is VOA news.

I'm Jonathan Jones reporting.

President Trump says "major sanctions" will be imposed on North Korea after the North

tested an intercontinental ballistic missile.

Experts say it's likely capable of hitting anywhere in the U.S. mainland.

In a tweet Wednesday, President Trump said he spoke with Chinese President Xi Jinping

about what Trump called the "provocative actions" of North Korea and he again promised that

"the situation will be handled."

He did not say any more.

North Korea on Wednesday said it had tested a missile and it was "tipped with a super-large

heavy warhead which is capable of striking the whole mainland of the U.S."

Suspected militants attacked worshipers outside a Shi'ite Muslim mosque, killing at least

one person and wounding four others late Wednesday in the Pakistani capital.

Police said four gunmen arrived on motorbikes at the mosque in Islamabad's I-8 residential

[center] sector, that is, and opened fire on worshipers as they were coming out after

their evening prayers.

Members of the minority Shi'ite community swiftly took to the streets to protest the

violence and denounce the government for failing to protect them.

No one claimed responsibility for the violence.

Security cameras installed around the mosque did capture video of gunmen spraying bullets

using automatic weapons before fleeing the scene.

Militant groups from the majority Sunni Muslim population in Pakistan are blamed for being

behind the sectarian violence.

The rivalry between the two Muslim sects in the country has claimed thousands of lives

over the years.

This is VOA news.

Zimbabwe's high court has acquitted a prominent pastor who was arrested for criticizing now

former President Robert Mugabe.

Human rights groups say Wednesday's ruling is a clear message for the new government

of President Emmerson Mnangagwa.

Sebastian Mhofu reports for VOA from Harare.

Pastor Evan Mawarire ??? the air before smiling.

Afterward, he spoke to reporters.

"So the citizens of Zimbabwe, none of us should ever be afraid to animate on constitution.

Worst I'm elated and excited that the result....

I am saddened that this is what we have to be go through for freedoms and rights in our

own nation.

One does hope that as our country changes and begins to move forward, that things like

this should never, ever be allowed to happen to the citizens of this nation."

Zimbabwe Lawyers for Human Rights says Wednesday's ruling puts the new government on notice.

However, Mawarire's legal troubles are not over yet.

If he faces another charge of that ??? follow his arrest in September of this year after

he called for more anti-government protests, the debt has not been set for that trial."

Sebastian Mhofu, for VOA news, Harare.

President Trump has re-tweeted three inflammatory anti-Muslim videos that had been posted on

Twitter by a far-right British politician, triggering condemnation, repudiation and fears

of a backlash against Muslim Americans.

British Prime Minister Theresa May chastised Trump, saying he had been "wrong" to spread

"hateful narratives" that "peddle lies and stoke tensions."

In a statement read by a spokesperson, May called the Britain First party "the antithesis

of the values of our country."

Two major American broadcasters were abruptly fired Wednesday over allegations of sexual

misconduct.

NBC's Matt Lauer and public radio's Garrison Keillor are among the latest famous figures

to either lose their jobs or fight for their political and professional survival because

of alleged inappropriate behavior towards women.

NBC fired [Laura] Lauer just hours before he was to have taken up his regular chore

as host of the early morning Today show.

Minnesota Public Radio gave no details of the allegations of Garrison Keillor, its flagship

personality, fired him for what it calls "improper behavior."

There is more on these and other late breaking and developing stories from around the world

at voanews.com.

I'm Jonathan Jones reporting from the world headquarters of the Voice of America in Washington.

That's the latest world news from VOA.

WWE News - Former Pro Boxer Wants A Comeback Fight Against Stone Cold - Duration: 3:17.

WWE News - Former Pro Boxer Wants A Comeback Fight Against Stone Cold

Undefeated British boxer Tyson Fury is training for a comeback and has claimed that he wants Stone Cold Steve Austin in his first fight back.

Despite pro wrestling being classed as sports entertainment rather than an actual sport, there are a lot of similarities between it and combat sports such as boxing and mixed martial arts.

They're so similar in fact, that there has been a long list of crossover stars including the likes of Ken Shamrock and Brock Lesnar, just to name a couple.

Sometimes stars don't necessarily have to give up one sport to take part in the other, and there are a fair few examples of the worlds of boxing and MMA coming together.

Floyd Mayweather took on the Big Show at WrestleMania XXIV and at WrestleMania XIV ten years prior to that Mike Tyson played a key role in the WWE Championship match.

British boxer Tyson Fury is looking to try and have those worlds collide yet again when he makes his in-ring comeback in 2018.

The undefeated former World Champion is aiming to be back in a boxing ring by April of next year and, as reported by Gazette Live, he had a surprising answer for who he wants his opponent to be.

For some strange reason, Fury wants to box Stone Cold Steve Austin.

Fury's last match came in November 2015 when he shocked the world and defeated Wladimir Klitschko to extend his undefeated run to 25-0. Fury has only been away from the ring for two years.

Steve Austin, on the other hand, wrestled his last match all the way back in 2003 and has repeatedly said that he has no interest in competing ever again.

It's hard to imagine that statement doesn't extend to him trying his hand at boxing for the first time at the age of 53 against an unbeaten Tyson Fury.

Suffice to say, those of you hoping for a Tyson Fury versus Stone Cold super fight are probably going to be left disappointed.

If all goes to plan though, Fury will be back in a boxing ring sometime during the first half of 2018 and will be looking to add to his 25 professional wins.
