Seyi Shay, Davido, Olamide Win Big At NEA Awards

Nigerian Entertainment Awards (NEA) held on Saturday at the Symphony Space Center in New York.

The award night is organised to honour big acts in the Nigerian entertainment industry including music, film, TV, Radio among others.

Davido took home two awards for Hottest Single of the Year ("IF") and Afropop Male Act of the Year.

His label mate Mayorkun also took home an award for Best New Act.

Nigeria's "Baddo" Olamide took home the award for Album of The Year ("The Glory").

This is the 12th edition of the event.

Celebrities present at the event include: Olamide, Seyi Shay, Davido, Gbenro Ajibade, DJ Self, Young Paris Barbee, Dremo, Korto Davies, Sheyman, ID Cabasa, DJ Enimoney, Danagog, Dotman and many more.

Lil Peep's death is still under investigation after some new text messages became of interest to authorities.

Lil Peep passed away on November 15, but the police are still investigating the circumstances surrounding his death.

There is a group of text messages that the police is currently focused on these days.

Within a text message chain that Tucson Police Dept.

is investigating, authorities are looking at texts sent by someone named Mariah Bons, who allegedly saw the deceased rapper on his tour bus right before he died, according to TMZ.

In one text Mariah sent, she allegedly wrote, 'He passed the f*** out my brother called, and I tried to get him to say hi to my brother, but he wouldn't wake up…'.

It seems that Mariah allegedly sent the following text message: 'GBC [Lil Peep] high af because of me and my friend lol.

It was previously reported that the cops have feared that Lil Peep may have been given a drug laced with the potent opioid fentanyl.

According to police reports, his body was found surrounded by the drug paraphernalia, Xanax, loose marijuana and an unknown tan powder.

Following his autopsy, the Pima County Medical Examiner indicated he most likely died of an apparent drug overdose.

The complete toxicology results will only be available in 6 to 8 weeks.

Only time will tell what exactly killed the rapper who showed such enormous talent.
