For a very long time, these actors were not really represented
in the conservation field in Central Africa.
The idea [of the PPI] is to build a community
but that's not automatic and that doesn't work every time,
a community who feels stronger together than working separately.
This is the purpose of these three days.
C'est une opportunité pour rencontrer des collègues qui viennent d'autres pays,
comme nous l'avons vu aujourd'hui.
Nous apprenons des uns et des autres...
et nous partageons des informations que nous allons ramener dans nos pays.
The aim of this event was to make co-creation easier
between all these organizations,
to gather all of them in a single place where they can exchange
on what did work and what did not, in their respective areas.
We hope that they go back to their countries
with very concrete things to implement, to test.
For example, to set up microfinance programs
for local communities in my region.
Of course, it's moving and very interesting both
to see known heads again.
I was able to see the personal stories evolving over the years
and these associations move on to maturity.
And also the very structure [of the PPI] who starts from a simple student...
and we now have a few employees.
So there are nowadays all sorts of questions
that did not arise a decade ago.
In my opinion, the main objective was to consider
if the PPI network really exists.
If the "PPI family",
the family of all these NGOs
who have benefited from a PPI grant,
was a family for real
or whether it was just a paper network.
And in fact it's more than a network,
it's a real community of actors.

Voici le miel blanc d'Oku.
Il vient de la forêt de Kilum-Ijim,
dans la région du Nord-Ouest du Cameroun.
This is wild mango,

The moabi...
is a tremendous oil.
Amongst these organisations who come from everywhere,
some of them didn't know each other.
They now do.
And they know that they are a part of something bigger.
And I think that this is the most positive thing
we've got in this forum.
