Hi everybody welcome to the blog Guadalajara en Guerra

We are on the road Torija-Brihuega in the exact place where members of the Garibaldi Brigade made an ambush to the Italians of the Corpo di Truppe Volontarie on March 10th 1937 around 11 a.m.

Brihuega had been taken by the fascists on March 10th early in the morning

The Garibaldi brigadists that were stationed at Torija , head for Brihuega at 10 a.m. in the morning, it is a foggy and cold morning as every morning in that battle those days

and just in this place they could hear a motorized column marching towards Torija ,they hide themselves and when the Italians passed by the machine guns started to talk

This ambush was supported by a Russian tank that was hidden just there on that slope behind those trees

Due to the action of this tank the Italian column suffered heavy damages

And after that first combat mentioned by all expert writers of the Spanish Civil War like Preston, Hugh Thomas, Anthony Bevor,the Italians of the CTV withdraw towards Brihuega

Just where that tin lies there was a member of the Garibaldi brigade I have found this bullet of Mosin-nagant

and these are the positions occupied by the members of the Garibaldi brigade to seige Ibarra Palace

This is another parapet where a Garibaldi brigadist lost this coin of the Provisional Government

We are more or less 1 Km away from the place where the ambush was made

..and it is just in this point where the Garibaldi brigadists become strong by blocking the road

The Italians of the C.T.V. will never pass that barrier,and this is somehow the beginning of the end

The legionaries of the CTV that were at Brihuega had to march along this road towards Torija to meet his colleagues-in-arms of the Third Division that were advancing along the Road of France

But I said before the Italians of the CTV never passed beyond this point

The CTV legionnaires would try to expel the Garibaldi brigadists from this area by using artillery as we can see here there is a fragment of shrapnel but they couldn't make it

Another proof of the useless Italian artillery bombing on behalf of the CTV

Hi everybody today is January 2nd 2017 we continue with the video in the point that we stopped ,I have just found this fragment of fuse of an Italian projectile , another part also coming from an Italian projectile where the detonator or also the transport cap is screwed on

...and this inert fuse of a projectile I am unable to identify now

well we have seen how the republicans were bombed in this kind of bridgehead just in Km 11 or 11,5 , we can see here this part that belongs to the shrapnel of the Italian Brixia mortar grenade

We can see here a bullet of a shrapnel projectile ,a fragment of a fuse of 100 mm shell

And here we can see a complete bullet and casings of the Mosin-nagant rifle

This Tenacity, this Determination , this will give Victory to the Republicans , this happened somehow like in the story of David against Goliath

100 "roscones" ordered and a crazy pastry chef

who loves her job. This is the result

Natural fermentation, almost 10 hours

Hello oompaloompas!

Let's see... you keep asking me

I'm going to show you a bit my set up

In this corner of the kitchen is where I decorate the "roscones"

In this other corner

I place the "roscones" that have been fermented

I paint them and put them in the oven

And below is my oven.

On this other table, my kitchen island

I cut it and put the filling

And from

this other side

I pick the boxes which are already prepared

Once it's in the box

if it has no filling or a customer is about to come to take it away

I put them in the trolley

right here

They cool

and on the lower half

the first baking just ended

And now comes the second one

And that's it, I place them here to ferment

These ones here are ready to be picked up

And the end!
