The Gunners' original offer of a loan with an option to buy was rejected by Inter Milan but the Evening Standard say they are ready to part with him if the Gunners meet their £35million valuation

Perisic, 29, handed in a transfer request on Sunday night in a bid to force through a dream move to the Premier League

And Inter boss Luciano Spalletti has told him he can leave if the right offer comes in

Speaking before their 1-0 defeat by Torino on Sunday night, he said: "It is normal that during the market we are talking about a player like Perisic, because he is a strong player that everyone would want in their team

"However, the talk must become concrete and then supported by the correct figures

" Perisic has previously admitted he is desperate to test himself in England and claims he came close to moving to Manchester United after a successful World Cup campaign with Croatia

The winger revealed his admiration for Jose Mourinho but United's interest appears to have cooled since Mourinho was sacked as the club's manager last month

But he still seems determined to move to England and Arsenal want to bring in some new faces to help Unai Emery bolster his squad

Emery wants at least two new players through the door before the window shuts at 11pm on Thursday night

"This transfer window is not easy," he said. "The message is the club is working on different players and the possibility if it can be good for us

"We are looking at two different players and the possibility they can come. "If they aren't coming to help us like we want, I prefer they don't come

" The Gunners manager has been trying to sign Denis Suarez, 25, from Barcelona ever since the window opened but a deal has proved complicated as Arsenal are struggling to raise funds

They are looking for initial loan deals that can then be made permanent in the summer

It is claimed that Inter and Barca are holding up the deals for Perisic and Suarez because they want some guarantees that Arsenal will sign them permanently at the end of the season

Chelsea transfer news: Serie A side ready to pay Blues demands to seal permanent deal - Duration: 2:33.

The former Monaco man is currently on loan at the Serie A side. And Italian outlet Tuttosport claim that although he hasn't been prolific in front of goal, Milan are impressed with Bakayoko

Chelsea loaned the 24-year-old for the season and included a €40million (£34.7m) clause to make the deal permanent this summer

That was initially seen as a steep price to pay by the Serie A club. But following Bakayoko's recent form, Milan are now said to be willing to activate the clause and make the permanent signing of the Frenchman

One attractive part of the deal is that it would have no impact on Financial Fair Play rules, according to the reports

Bakayoko has made 24 appearances in all competitions for Milan this season. The central midfielder initially struggled to make an impact for the Serie A side but was always confident he would show his top performance level for the club

"I've been very well received," he said last October. "It's a good group and my integration has gone very well, I'm trying to adapt the way I play

The best of me has yet to come and it'd be better to play a bit more, but I'm already seeing improvements

"A lot of things have changed, it's a new league and a new style of football but I'm trying to give my best

"With time you'll see the Bakayoko you talk about." Chelsea have a number of midfield options and even if Milan do not make the deal permanent it is unlikely Bakayoko would return to Stamford Bridge

Ross Barkley, N'Golo Kante, Jorginho, Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Mateo Kovacic are all fighting to start in Maurizio Sarri's side

That's after Cesc Fabregas was sold to Monaco earlier this month. Chelsea return to action against Bournemouth in the Premier League tomorrow evening (7

45pm).

Chelsea transfer news: Blues create Callum Hudson-Odoi plan after Bayern Munich bids - Duration: 3:43.

That's according to the Guardian. The Blues are said to have rejected Hudson-Odoi's transfer request with Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich having been heavily interested in the winger

Bayern made as many as four bids - one worth £35million - for the 18-year-old even though he has yet to start a Premier League match

And having grown frustrated at the lack of opportunities at Stamford Bridge, Hudson-Odoi told Chelsea he wanted to leave for Bavaria

But Chelsea have reportedly declared he will be going nowhere this month and are desperate not to lose the academy graduate

Hudson-Odoi started and scored as Maurizio Sarri's men beat Sheffield Wednesday in the FA Cup fourth round on Sunday, winning 6-0

That was his 11th appearance of the campaign but having yet to start a league game from the off, the England youth international was convinced he would get more game-time in Germany

However, Chelsea plan to convince Hudson-Odoi he is better served by remaining at the club - who he has played for since the age of eight - by offering him a greater role between now and the end of the season

The forward's current contract will have just 12 months left by then and Chelsea want to tie him down to a new long-term deal

But the Guardian say that the Londoners believe even if they are forced into parting with the teenager, they will still recoup the same fee they could have made this month

That's despite Christian Pulisic set to join Chelsea in the summer and offer even more competition for places out wide

The American was signed from Borussia Dortmund for £58m earlier this month but loaned back out to Bayern's rivals until the end of the season

But Gianfranco Zola believes despite Hudson-Odoi's frustrations that he is actually getting a good amount of minutes

He said after the FA Cup win: "We can do as much as we can do, he has a lot of strong players next to him

I want to stress if you look at the big clubs not as much play. It means we have trust

We are showing this. "We believe in what he can do for this club. We don't know many 18 year olds who are playing as much as him

It shows we believe in him." Meanwhile Willian - one of the wingers ahead of Hudson-Odoi in Sarri's pecking order - believes his team-mate has major promise

The Brazilian declared: "He can become one of the best players for Chelsea and one of the best players in the world in the future

He has to stay. "The quality he has, he has everything. He's fast. Of course he can improve, he's only 18, but he can improve a lot to become one of the best players

You can see from his goal that he has quality."

Arsenal transfer news: Unai Emery reveals board promise over new signings - Duration: 3:15.

The Gunners have been quiet this month with the Spaniard making it clear he is only allowed to bring in players on loan

The likes of Denis Suarez, Ivan Perisic and James Rodriguez have all been linked with a switch to the Emirates

But with transfer deadline day on Thursday no deals have been confirmed by Arsenal

Emery has revealed some of the conversations he has had with his board regarding bringing in new recruits

He said: "When we have the possibility to buy different players with big quality to help us with their performance, we can do that

"At the moment though the club is telling me this is not a good moment to buy new players

"But the club say to me in the summer it is going to be different. And we are going to have chances to take and spend money to buy players

"I know because I've spoken with the club, now the transfer market is difficult but we can take different chances in the summer

" Arsenal boss Emery believes it has been very difficult for everyone in the Premier League to sign players this month

He added: "If we look at the other teams in this transfer market, it is very difficult for them

"Only Chelsea have signed somebody, with [Gonzalo] Higuain changing with [Alvaro] Morata

"The other teams? Not Liverpool, not Manchester City, not Manchester United. And we are also in the same situation in that it is difficult to find one different and better player in this transfer window

"I am happy with my players. The easiest thing for me is to ask for more players but I love to work with my players

"My challenge is to improve them individually, collectively, offensively, defensively

"But also we are doing good things, improving. And in the Premier League we are pushing to be in the top four

"I know that at the moment Manchester United are improving a lot in the last matches, but we are with them

"There are three points between Chelsea and us and my idea is to take opportunities to close the gap with the possibility of being in the top four

" Arsenal return to action tonight against Cardiff in the Premier League (7.45pm)

Arsenal transfer news: Five deals that could be done before deadline day - Duration: 3:08.

Arsenal transfer news could flood through this week as Unai Emery seeks reinforcements for his squad before deadline day

The Gunners have had a quiet January window so far but that could be about to change with incoming and outgoing deals expected to happen

Ivan Perisic is the biggest deal to keep an eye on, while Aaron Ramsey's Juventus saga is due to come to an end

Express Sport has rounded up which Arsenal transfer deals could be finalised this week

IN: Ivan Perisic (from Inter) Perisic has been wanted by Manchester United for several transfer windows but Arsenal have raced into the lead for his signature

The Inter superstar has put in a transfer request in a bid to engineer a move away from the San Siro according to reports

IN: Christopher Nkunku (from PSG) Arsenal have opened talks with Emery's former side PSG over bringing 21-year-old Nkunku to the Emirates according to BBC Sport

The young star could sign a loan deal with view to a permanent deal with the Gunners

IN: Denis Suarez (from Barcelona) The out-of-favour Barcelona midfielder has fallen down the pecking order following the arrivals of Kevin Prince Boateng and Frenkie de Jong

Despite a reported stand-off between the two clubs – with Arsenal keen for a loan deal and Barcelona hoping for a permanent switch – Guillem Balague says a deal could still go through

OUT: Aaron Ramsey (to Juventus) The all-time worst secret in football history remains unconfirmed by both Juventus and the Gunners

The Ramsey deal has been finalised according to Balague but neither side has announced a formal agreement

Ramsey is expected to remain with Arsenal until the summer when he will join Juventus on a free transfer

OUT: Mohamed Elneny (to Roma) Elneny has been told he can leave Arsenal this month following the emergence of Mateo Guendouzi in midfield

Leicester showed early signs of interest before Italian media reported Roma were keen on a loan deal

It remains uncertain where he could end up, but Elneny is likely to depart.
