AND SEVERAL U.S. TERRITORIES.

EVERY YEAR, VISITORS COME BY

THE TENS OF MILLIONS TO SEE

BEAUTY THAT MAN COULD NOT

CREATE BUT COULD AT LEAST

PRESERVE.

STEPHEN MATHER, THE FIRST

DIRECTOR OF THE NATIONAL PARK

SERVICE, DECLARED THAT THE

NATIONAL PARKS WERE INTENDED

FOR ALL TO ENJOY.

"A VISIT [TO ONE] INSPIRES

LOVE OF COUNTRY; BEGETS

CONTENTMENT; ENGENDERS PRIDE

OF POSSESSION; CONTAINS THE

ANTIDOTE FOR NATIONAL

RESTLESSNESS ... HE IS A

BETTER CITIZEN WITH A KEENER

APPRECIATION OF THE PRIVILEGE

OF LIVING HERE WHO HAS TOURED

THE NATIONAL PARKS.

[THEY] DO NOT BELONG TO ONE

MAGNIFICENT PLACES LIKE

YELLOWSTONE--AND AMERICA'S

OTHER NATIONAL PARKS--

INSPIRE AWE AND REVERENCE.

THEY TAKE US BACK TO A TIME

Pulgarcito Tom Pouce de los Hermanos Grimm - Duration: 16:15.

A poor Labrador was sitting one night in the corner of the home; while his wife

spinning at his side, he said:

-How sorry I do not have children! What a silence there is in our house while in the others

everything is joy and noise!

-Yes -said his wife sighing-, I I would be happy, even if we did not have

more than just one as big as the finger thumb and we would love him with all our heart.

In this intermediate the woman became pregnant and after seven months she gave birth to a child

well formed with all its members, but that was not higher than the thumb. So

He said:

-It's just as we've wanted you, but not because We want that less.

And his parents called him Tom Pouce, because of of its size. They raised him as best they could,

but it did not grow, and it remained as it had been since its birth. It seemed however,

that he had talent: his eyes were smart and manifested well soon in his little person

cunning and activity to carry out what what did he think?

The farmer was preparing one day to go to to cut wood to a forest, and it was said: How much

I would be glad to have someone to take the car.

"Father," Tom Pouce exclaimed, "I want to guide you, I; Do not be careful, it will come at a good time.

The man start laughing.

"You can not do that," he said. "You're too much." small to take the horse from the bridle.

- What does that matter, father? If mom wants hook, I'll get in the horse's ear,

and I'll direct you where you want me to go.

"Okay," said the father, "let's see.

The mother hooked the horse and put Tom Pouce in the ear, and the little man was guiding him

by the road that had to be taken, so well that the horse marched as if leading him

a good carter, and the car went to the forest on the right path

While they were going around a bend in the road, the little man shouted:

-Ok, arre! Two strangers passed by.

"My God," exclaimed one of them, "what is that? Here is a car that is walking:

he hears the voice of the driver and nobody is seen.

"It's a strange thing," said the other. let's follow that car and see where it is

stop.

The car continued on its way and stopped at the forest, precisely in the place where

There was cut wood. When Tom Pouce distinguished to his father, he shouted:

- You see father, how well have I brought the car? now, lower me

The father took the bridle with one hand, pulled out with the other to his son from the ear of the horse

and put him on the ground: the little boy sat happily in a straw.

Upon seeing Tom Ponce, the two outsiders were admired, not knowing what to think.

One of them called the other aside and said:

-That imp could make our fortune if we taught him for money in some city;

You have to buy it. They approached the farmer and they said to him:

-Sell us that enanillo: we will take good care of you.

"No," said the father, "he is my son, and I do not sell him for all the gold in the world.

But upon hearing the conversation, Tom Pouce had climbed up the folds of her dress

father climbing up to his back, from where He said in his ear:

Father, sell me those men, I'll be back soon.

His father was given to men for a beautiful gold coin.

-Where do you want to wear? -they told them.

-Ah! put me in the brim of your hat; I'll be able to walk around and see the field, and I'll have

careful not to fall. They did what he wanted, and as soon as Tom Pouce said goodbye

of his father, they left with him, walking Until the night. Then the little man shouted:

-Expect me, I need to go down.

"Stay in your hat," said the man; I do not care what you have to do,

Birds do much more sometimes.

"No, no," said Tom Ponce, "get down at once."

The man took it and put it on the ground, in a land next to the road; ran a

instant between the furrows, and then he got in a hole that I had sought expressly.

- Good evening, gentlemen, you are already here, "he yelled laughing.

They wanted to catch him sticking sticks in the hole, but it was work lost. Tom was hiding

further in each time, and starting to get dark suddenly, they were forced to enter

his house uncomfortable and empty-handed.

When they were away, Tom Pouce came out from his cave. I was afraid to venture at night

in the middle of the field, because one leg breaks right away. Fortunately, he found a snail

empty:

"Thank God," he said, "I'll spend the night in security here inside. And settled there.

When he was going to sleep he heard two men they passed, and the one said to the other:

- How would we fix to steal the gold and silver to that rich priest?

"I'll tell you," Tom Pouce shouted at them.

-Waths up? -exclaimed one of the thieves scared-; Have I heard someone speak?

They kept listening, when Tom Pouce told them he shouted again:

-Live me with you and I will help you.

-Where are you?

-Find me on the floor, where the voice. The thieves concluded by finding him:

-Small man extract, they said, How do you want to be useful?

"Look," he told them, "I'll slip through the window irons in the room of the

cure, and I will pass on everything you ask of me.

-We're going to try it, they said.

As soon as they arrived at the presbytery, Tom Pouce He slipped into the room; then he got

to scream with all his strength:

- Do you want everything that is here?

The scared thieves told him:

-Speak low, you'll wake up people:

But he, acting as if he had not heard, he shouted again:

-What do you want? Do you want everything What is here?

The maid who slept in the next room, He heard this noise, got up and listened. The

thieves had beaten withdrawal; anyway, they took courage, and believing only that

the picarillo wanted to have fun at his expense they went back and they said to him under

-Don't joke, give us something.

Then Tom started screaming with all his forces:

-I'll give you everything: open your hands.

The maid heard very clearly this time, jumped from the bed and ran to the door. Thieves,

seeing this, they ran as if the devil it would have appeared to them; not hearing anything else

The maid went to light a light. When came back, Tom Pouce went to hide in the

Pajera without seeing him. The maid, after of having registered all the corners without

discover nothing, went to bed, and believed I had dreamed.

Tom Pouce had climbed to the hay, where fixed a bed; I thought I would rest there

until the day, and return home straight away from his parents. But he had to suffer so many

tests still! There is so much evil in the world! The maid rose at dawn to give

to eat the cattle. His first visit was to the pajera, she picked up a bundle of hay with

poor Tom Pouce asleep inside. I slept so deeply that he did not notice

nothing, and did not wake up until I was in the mouth of a cow that had caught him with

a handful of hay. He believed in a principle that had fallen into a mill, but

he understood very soon where he was in reality. Avoiding being chewed between

teeth, he concluded by sliding down his throat to the belly. The room seemed narrow,

without window, and saw neither sun nor light. The dwelling displeased him a lot, and what complicated

more his situation, is that he always came down new hay, and the space became more

tight every time.

Filled with terror, he shouted at last the highest who could:

- Enough hay! No more hay! I do not want plus.

The maid was precisely at that moment busy milking the cow; that voice that

he heard without seeing anyone, and that he recognized by the one that had awakened her the night before,

it frightened her so much that she fell to the ground pouring the milk.

He ran to find his master and said:

-Oh! OMG! Mr. priest, who speaks Cow!

"You are crazy," the priest replied. and yet, he was himself to the barn for

make sure what happened.

But as soon as he entered, he shouted again Tom Pouce:

- Enough hay! I do not want more!

The priest was frightened in turn, and believing that the cow had the devil in the body said

that it was necessary to kill her. They killed her, and belly in which the poor man was imprisoned

Tom, was thrown into the dung.

The poor thing worked hard to untangle himself, and I started to stick my head out, citing

A new misfortune happened to him. A hungry wolf He threw himself on his belly, and swallowed it

at once. Tom Pouce did not lose heart.

"Maybe," he thought to himself, "it will be treatable. this wolf.

And from his belly where he was locked up, shouted him:

-Dear friend, I want to show you where you can find a good meal

-Where? said the wolf.

-In such and such a house; you just have to slide by the sewer to the kitchen and you'll find

Cakes, bacon, sausage, to mouth what do you want.

And he designated his father's house with the greatest accuracy.

The wolf did not tell him twice: he introduced in the kitchen and gave a good breakthrough

to provisions. But when he was fed up and he had to leave, he was so bloated

with food, which could not get through by the sewer. Tom, who had counted on

this, started making a terrible noise in the body of the wolf jumping and jumping with

all your forces

- Do you want to be still? said the wolf. You will wake everyone.

-And that? the little man replied. Have not you given yourself? I also want

have fun.

And he started screaming all he could.

He concluded by waking his parents, who they ran and looked in the kitchen, through

of the lock. When they saw that there was a wolf, they armed the man with an ax

and the woman with a sickle.

"Stand behind," the man said to his wife, When they entered the room-, I'm going to give you

with my ax, if I do not kill him from the blow, you cut the belly.

Tom Pouce, who heard his father's voice, He started shouting:

-It is me, dear father, who is in the belly of the wolf.

"Thank God," said the father, full of joy. that we have found our son.

And he ordered his wife to leave the sickle on her side so as not to hurt your son. Then he raised

his ax, and he killed the wolf dead at a stroke in the head, and then opened the belly

with his knife and scissors, and took out the little Tom.

-Ah! -he said-, how restless we have been for your luck!

-Yes, father, I've run a lot, but fortunately, Here I am, back to light.

-Where have you been?

-Ah, father! I've been in an anthill, in the belly of a cow and in the belly of

a wolf. Now I stay with you.

-And we will not sell you again for all the gold of the world - said his parents hugging him

and squeezing him against his heart.

They fed her and bought her clothes, because his had spoiled during

trip.

Lo que NO te CUENTAN de las ESCUELAS en el ANIME | REALIDAD VS ANIME - Duration: 11:44.

In the anime they usually present us with a very realistic vision of what schools are

it is very common to see different patterns that are repeated in several stories

about what schools are like in Japan

but ¿it is like that in real life?, can they go with color of hair they want? Do the students live alone? Can they work while they study?

In this video we will review the similarities and differences between anime schools and the reality of schools in Japan

With no more, let's start

1. In some schools it is prohibited to work after classes

In the anime we usually see how the students of the schools have part-time jobs

which they attend after finishing their day of classes

it is normal that this happens especially in animes where they focus on the school life of the main characters.

However, in reality it is not quite so, as not all schools allow this, because many of them prefer that young people focus on their studies

this adding that schools and/or universities do not see as something good the fact that young people identify themselves as workers of some company or business

since this becomes their identity and not being a student

This type of school decision brings us to the next point

2. Schools are very involved in the lives of students

In the anime we sometimes see how the classroom teacher visits the homes of the characters

either to talk with the mother about the grades, the fact that the student has an unacceptable behavior

among other things

Well, here we have a similarity, in reality it is like that

schools and teachers play a much more important role in the life of Japanese students

for example, if a young person gets into trouble

the first callers are: the school and/or teacher tutor

and then the school contacts the parents of the young person

In Japan, schools are much more accountable to young students even after they leave

3. The roof is forbidden

In any anime we have the typical scene of characters going up to the roof of the schools

whether to eat, sleep, alone, reflect or for the classic love confession

Returning to reality, in real life this is forbidden, since most schools keep closed or prohibit entry to the roof

this is so because as many will know, Japan unfortunately

is one of the countries with the highest suicide rates, so schools want to avoid this type of incident

Surely that's why you usually see a lot of this kind of scenes on the roof of schools in anime

4. They prepare their own food

Something that commonly happens in the anime is the fact that the characters prepare their own food

either in the same school to serve them and their companions or bring it from home

however in real life, although it is all the same

the Schools have their own rules about what meals can be prepared

junk food is prohibited since as we all know it is not healthy and does not provide anything nutritional for students

All this makes sense and schools avoid it more than anything

because this can cause health problems in children or adolescents such as obesity and tooth decay

5. School life in reality is not as beautiful as we think

And yes, it is the reality, many of us believe what we see in the anime, the beautiful faces

beautiful characters, perfect features, excellent personalities and always with a smile as if all the time they were happy

, the reality says the opposite, because the truth is that it is not like that or not for the great majority of boys and girls who live their school life

Let's be honest, most people in Japan do not become beautiful and perfect as they paint them in the anime

the reality is that many young people in real life are real people

with different types of traits that characterize them

many young people are stressed and tired

this is because they have the pressure of school performance, that is, a lot of homework, exams and school work, the students' lives are hard

SO! This does not mean that it is always the case, and that Japan is the worst place in the world

but for something in Japan there are many cases of suicide due to stress and fatigue

which can lead to depression and suicide

But as I say, this is only to contrast the differences that occur, as everything there is also a good side

6. Students do not have much free time

Following the same line of the previous point, students in the anime usually go out with their friends after school

go to karaoke, eat a snack, talk in the classroom about anything that has nothing to do with study

among other things

The truth is that it is very far from reality

many times young Japanese people do not have time to go out with friendships

the free time they have use it to continue studying, they have many tasks, exams to enter the university

school clubs they demand time, some do extra classes like English, to do curriculum, among others

Schools in reality are quite strict and students have little time for entertainment.

This does not mean that they are enslaved but many sacrifice time for study

7. Students clean their own classrooms

Likewise, in some scenes we usually see the characters cleaning their classrooms

or corridors and other facilities within the school, in reality it usually happens

This practice is called o-soji, which consists of washing dishes after your meal, mopping, picking up garbage, even cleaning toilets.

High school and elementary students learn to take care of public space in order to be a more aware citizen.

That is not to say that there is no professional cleaning staff for the schools

there is, and they are called yomushuji, however, o-soji is a tradition of educational institutions and is a normal practice in the Japanese country.

8. Rarely do students live alone

This, as everything has its exceptions, but it is not very common for high school students and much less primary to live alone

either in an apartment or rented room as we saw in the recent Bunny Girl Senpai

anime where the protagonist lives alone with his little sister

The truth is that parents do not think it's a good idea for their children to live alone while they study

and that this entails an economic expense that many would not be able to afford

Of course there are exceptions, such as a student from abroad or someone who really lives away from school

in this case parents having the means could afford it, however many prefer that they be in the homes of trusted family or friends

but as a last option, let them live alone, having as a rule to visit their homes and parents on weekends

In addition, parents see this practice as dangerous for their children because they are not in their care and could get involved with the wrong people

This can happen if the young person has problems at home or is lonely

can often end up in bad steps

For example, in 2014, in Japan, a 16-year-old girl who lived alone was arrested for murdering and mutilating a classmate

9. Personal appearance is very limited

Sure you've seen anime characters, with very characteristic styles, like the hairstyle, the hair color

some accessories, earrings, a bit of the shirt on the outside and other things

more than anything else are techniques of character designs to give it a personality to them so that each one has their identity

Well, in real life Japanese schools are very strict with the student appearance of students

in many of them they are prohibited from using makeup

they can not wear some kind of sweater on the way to school

because they give the impression of a careless appearance

likewise they limit the length of the hair, they can not have it so long

and the bangs of girls should not be lower than the eyebrows

Just as there are many restrictions that schools have

although it is true that many other schools are a little more relaxed

however, do not wait for a student with yellow hair.

10. School uniforms have their differences

In Japan the schools are very strict with the appearance of the students and the school uniform is not saved

from this fact, the uniforms of the students have three basic types:

The sailor uniform, this is the typical set for girls with a necklace and sailor tape

Accompanied by a sailor shirt to the skirt of the same color

The Gakuran which is the uniform for boys

this is made up of the black turtleneck jacket with gold buttons and black pants

And the blazer, this one is worn. Both for girls and boys. Trousers for boys and long skirts for girls

Not all schools have a uniform, as a matter of fact

in some schools in Japan young people may wear casual clothes

In the anime we usually see how female characters wear brightly colored skirts such as pink

yellow or with patterns of colors, however in reality they are governed by the above mentioned

more conservative uniforms, white, black or navy blue colors.

Added to previous points of the appearance that we discussed earlier

like the hair, which should have a black or dark brown color

and the skirts are not so short as in the anime

The accessories are allowed, and is a way that students use to have a differentiating style

11. The student council does not have that much power

The student council is one of the most powerful forces in the anime

this group is often exaggerated in the schools we see in the series

having so much power to be above the school leadership, and can even establish rules

In extreme cases its jurisdiction goes beyond the school itself, as in Kill la Kill.

At this point the student council seems to be an untouchable authority

in the anime yes, if we go to extreme cases, but in reality

the student council does not have any power over the decisions that are made in the schools

the members of the same have little significant authority

everything is decided by the administration of the school and although they may occasionally

have some opportunity to express their opinions, they have very little or no decision power

12. School clubs are like in anime

Or almost, it is very common to see in the anime that the first days of school

there are a lot of groups to which the characters can register

school clubs in the anime can vary according to the theme of the same

basketball clubs, baseball, photography, and others

In reality the clubs are very similar, however do not expect to find a magic club in real life.

Clubs consume so much time that students sometimes have to leave them for the amount of time they consume in their day to day

a school club may require participation 6 days a week

and many students usually arrive after 9 o'clock at night to their houses due to the activities of the club

something that is seen a lot in the animes

13. School festivals are real

Both in the anime and in real life there is this type of event and they are called Bankusai

which are used mostly to foster camaraderie, learn values of teamwork and have good memories

In real life, there are sports, scholars, cultural and school trips festivals

Although in the anime these events are exaggeratedly cool

in reality they are more normal, plays, dinners, shows of the students' work, parades, sports competitions

and trips to know places of Japanese culture or even go abroad

Festivals require a lot of preparation time

in the anime there are usually scenes where these types of events are prepared

which are held on weekends so as not to interrupt the students' classes.

No doubt this activity is a way to de-stress and have a good time for the Japanese.

As we have seen, the anime is very similar to reality, however it can have its marked differences

something that is logical since we are talking about works of fiction

Remember to leave me your opinion about this topic and what these differences seem to you

and share this video with your friends. With no more to add, see you.

Demo BOSS LMB3 y otros temas relacionados a la compresión de sonido - Duration: 9:45.

Hi bass players i hope you guys are all right and welcome to this video where once again i present to you a sound demo of the compressor pedal Boss LMB3

some time ago i've posted a video where a did a review and a demo about this pedal and this video is the most commented video of my youtube channel

and some few of the comments that i have get about this video through youtube and social media in general manifested that the quality of the sound was not good

and because of it the compression effect can't be heard, in other words that the sound does not get change in any way in this video

and the reason behind this is that when i started this channel i was using a camera that was not very good, it just could record in 720p and the sound quality was not good

and as we all known the quality of the sound is very important when someone records a sound demo and it's even more importar if we are going to record a bass

so now i have a sound interface and it means that the demo that you are going to listen in this video have been recorded using this interface

but before the demo i want to answer some question that i have received through the comments box here in youtube and also through social media

of all this questions i have chosen 4, 3 of this questions i think that are very common doubts that most bass players have about all this topic of sound compression

and a fourth question that catched my attention

The first doubt that many bass players have is if it's possible to use a guitar compressor pedal on a bass

and the answer is yes you can use a guitar compressor pedal with your bass, actually you can use any guitar pedal with your bass and this works the other way around, but i think that question should, it's convenient to do it?

as i have said in a previous video, the guitar effects have been congurated to high frequencies, so if we use a guitar effect with a bass what it's going to happen is that the effect is going to cut some of the low frequencies of our sound

practically the low and mid low frequencies of our sound are going to be in a partial way by the guitar effect, this frequencies is what is known as Low end, and this low end is very important for us, the bass players

for example when a band is playing live you can listen to many sound frequencies at the same time, and between this sea of frequencies

the only way that we are going to cut through the mix is with the low frequencies or low en, so if we use a sound effect that is going to diminish this low end, it can make us disappear into the mix of the band

with this explanation you might be thinking "it's better to not use guitar pedal with my bass" but the true is that you can do it without a major problem

because this lost of low frequencies can be compensated by equalizing your sound on your amp or you also can do this using a equalizer pedal.

another common doubt about compressor pedals is, if i have many effects pedals, where should i put the compressor? and my recommendation is at the beginning of the pedal chain

and the reason for this is because is by doing so our sound signal is going to be "stabilized" from the beginning, and with it gets through the other effects it's dynamic range is going to be more stable

but i want to lease something clear and it's that this is only my opinion, and i have seen many bass and guitar players that put the compressor practically anywhere, in the middle of the chain, at the end of the chain

so if i recommend this to you guys it's because this is what best works for me but everybody's free to use their pedals in any way they want.

another common doubt is about the compressor that are integrated into some amps and if this compressors are better or worse than the compressor pedals

the true is that the compressors that some amps have is no t bat at all, and the main difference between an amp compressor and a compressor pedal is the numbers of knobs

in an amp (at least the amp that have compression that i known) the compression is managed with just one knob and in a compressor pedal the compression can be managed using many knobs

and this many knobs allow us to manage the sound in many ways but in an amp we only have one

and this means that all the compression values like the ratio, threshold attack and the other are integrated in just one knob and we can no set them one by one as we can in a compressor pedal

but i want to be clear about the fact that the compression that comes in the amps is not bad, actually is pretty good and if you do not have any other option to compress your sound, the amp compressor is a very good solution

and last, a question that really got my attention was, what happen is you use two compressor pedals at the same time? and the true is i do not known, this is something that i have never done

and the only bass player that i known that uses two compressors pedals at the same time is the spanish Miki Santamaría, here on youtube he have a video where he talks about his gear

and in this video he explains why he has two compressors pedals, in a nutshell he says that the first compressor he put it at the beginning of the chain because with it he can low the level of volume of his bass

and the second compressor is at the end of the chain, and this in his own words, is used as a regular compressor,

in the video description i am going to leave the link of his video, so you can go and check it out if you want

so now let's hear the Boss Lmb3 demo, as i have said before this demo has been recorded using an audio interface

so the bass is connected to the pedal and the pedal is connected to the audio interface, there is not any kind of amplification or equalization in the process,

and the bass that've used to record this demo was the Yamaha TRBX605 in active mode and the equalization of the bass is totally flat

well friends this has been all for the moment, thanks a lot for watching the video and i hope it has been useful to you

if it was helpful please give it a like and subscribe to my channel, and if you do subscribe to my channel please click the notification bell icon

soon i wll be posting more videos about music theory, exercises and other topics related to the electric bass

once again thanks a lot for watching the video, and see you next time

IN FACT, IT WAS THE FIRST

THE IDEA CAUGHT ON, AND OVER

THE NEXT 44 YEARS, ANOTHER

34 NATIONAL PARKS AND MONUMENTS,

FOR A RELATIVELY NEW NATION

ALL SYMBOLS OF MONARCHY AND

A GRAND CANYON; AMAZING GEYSERS;

MAJESTIC HERDS OF BISON, ELK,

AND THE BIGGEST TREES IN

THE WORLD--ALL SYMBOLS

OF THE GRAND ASPIRATIONS

THE NATIONAL PARK SERVICE NOW

OVER MORE THAN 84 MILLION

STEPHEN MATHER, THE FIRST

DIRECTOR OF THE NATIONAL PARK

NATIONAL PARKS WERE INTENDED

FOR ALL TO ENJOY.

"A VISIT [TO ONE] INSPIRES
