Waching daily Jan 28 2019

That's according to Italian journalist Nicolo Schira. The Reds have been tipped to make a move for the 18-year-old midfielder in the summer

That's with Jurgen Klopp avoiding any moves this month with Liverpool four points clear atop the Premier League table

Tonali has two goals and five assists in 19 Serie B games this season with Brescia second in the league and just one point off leaders Palermo as they seek a return to the top flight

The teenager has attracted major interest from clubs across Europe. And Schira - a reporter for Italian outlet La Gazzetta dello Sport - claims Liverpool had scouts in Brescia to watch them face Spezia yesterday

Tonali scored a first-half equaliser for the Biancoazzurri as they drew 4-4, drilling in a low strike from the edge of the area

Schira adds that Brescia want €35million (£30m) for Tonali, who was called up to the Italian national team's senior set-up in November but did not appear against either Portugal or the United States

But it is claimed that Serie A quartet Juventus, Roma, AC Milan and Inter Milan have also all registered interest with the view to securing a deal in the summer window

Brescia owner Massimo Cellino - formerly the owner and chairman of Leeds United - recently declared Liverpool had been in touch over Tonali

He told newspaper Corriere dello Sport: "Yes, Roma have asked me about Tonali.  "I've talked about him to [Roma director Mauro] Baldissoni several times, but I want to keep the lad as long as possible

Trending  "Is he ready? I don't know, he's 18. But Liverpool also contacted me a little while ago

" Goal reported last year that both Chelsea and Juventus are interested in young prospect Tonali

The versatile midfielder, who has been likened to Andrea Pirlo given his play-making abilities from deep, was named Serie B's Footballer of the Year for 2018

Liverpool, meanwhile, continue their title charge on Wednesday when they host Leicester City at Anfield (8pm)

Arsenal transfer news: Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang likes post relating to Ivan Perisic move - Duration: 2:19.

Reports at the weekend suggested the Gunners were looking to tie up a loan deal for the Croatia international

Perisic is said to have handed in a transfer request to Inter on Sunday. He was subsequently pulled from the squad to face Torino in their Serie A fixture

Arsenal can only make signings on loan this month but Inter are only willing to let Perisic leave on a permanent deal

Aubameyang seems to be keen for the 29-year-old to make a switch to the Emirates

The striker liked a post on Instagram which said Perisic had handed in a transfer request to Inter to push through a move

Inter want a transfer fee for Perisic and may only agree to let him leave on loan if Arsenal agree to a clause which will make it permanent in the summer

Inter Milan boss Luciano Spalletti has confirmed the club could let the 29-year-old leave

"Perisic, it's simple," he said. "As I said yesterday, players can say what they want

"Of course they're at the club, they're paid by us, so you need to have a buyer. "He cannot go away for free

"If he does not want to play as Marotta said, it is clear that he will stay out (of the team)

"There are no problems. "But when one cannot make a contribution, it helps to get rid of them

" Arsenal return to action tomorrow when they take on Cardiff in the Premier League (7

45pm).

Man City News - Liverpool news: Simon Mignolet reveals Man City talk is off limits in dressing room - Duration: 3:15.

Liverpool are four points clear of Manchester City at the top of the table as they search for their first ever Premier League title

The last time the Anfield outfit won England's top tier was back in 1990 with four second-placed finishes coming since then

Reigning champions Manchester City are Liverpool's closest challengers currently and beat Jurgen Klopp's side earlier this month

Mignolet was part of the team that finished second in 2014, their title challenge ended after Steven Gerrard slipped against Chelsea and a 3-0 lead was lost at Crystal Palace

But having come so close once before, Mignolet has admitted neither City nor the title is on the mind with over three months of the season remaining

"All of the players here would instantly become legends," Mignolet told the Liverpool Echo

"It would be massive after so long without winning it. "But now isn't the time to think about that

In the dressing room we never really speak about the title. "We know we are in the race, we don't have to be silly

It's a positive at this stage of the season but things can change quickly. We need to keep at this level to stay in the race

"We've won the last two since losing to City. That defeat made things tighter at the top but the performance was something where we showed we are on the same level as them

The belief is high. "All the fans are so hungry and eager for it. The title is the biggest thing you can fight for

"We all have a part to play to really push the lads and do our jobs the best that we can to help us achieve it

" Alisson, who is Liverpool's current No 1, has admitted that Pep Guardiola's City are still favourites for the title

"Liverpool now have the quality to fight for the biggest trophies, there is no doubt about it," he said

"But there's a long way ahead of us and it's important to be sure where we are going

"City proved their strength by winning the league comfortably last year. "They have also invested for this season, so their team is even better now

They are very tough opponents and the big favourites."

Man Utd news: Andy Cole predicts several players to sign Old Trafford deals - Duration: 2:35.

Man Utd news: Andy Cole says Anthony Martial and David De Gea won't be the only new contracts (Image: SKY SPORTS/GETTY) Manchester United interim boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer claimed earlier this week talks over extensions for Martial and De Gea are progressing

Martial was linked with a move away from the club earlier this season after falling out with previous manager Jose Mourinho

However, he has enjoyed a new lease of life under Solskjaer in recent weeks. David De Gea was a long-term target of Real Madrid until they signed Thibaut Courtois from Chelsea last summer

But Cole does not think the duo will be the only two penning new deals. "Martial looks like he wants to sign a new contract now," Cole said on Sky Sports

"He is [making the right noises]. A few months ago he was like 'I'm not sure I really want to stay'

So that says a lot as well. "No doubts the goalkeeper will end up doing that as well as quite a few other players who are coming out of contract

"Man Utd news: Cole is pleased to see Anthony Martial seemingly change his mind over a new contract (Image: SKY SPORTS)Man Utd news: Anthony Martial is close to signing a new contract (Image: GETTY) Solskjaer has won his first eight games in charge of United in all competitions

And Cole says his former team-mate is heading in the right direction to get the job full time

"How do you keep your job? You have to win matches," he added. "If he continues to do that then nobody can turn around and say you shouldn't get the job because he hasn't done X, Y and Z

Man Utd news: Talks are progressing over extending David De Gea's contract (Image: GETTY) "If this continues and Manchester United beat PSG (in the Champions League) and win midweek against Burnley, then I don't think you can look any further

"He is gaining experience and winning matches and that is what everyone is asking him to do

"I look at Ole and I see that he is a student of the game. "He was prepared to take in a lot of information and break it down and do what he thought was right with it

Fox Sport News - Espanyol 2-4 Real Madrid: Solari's 10-men hold off late fightback - Duration: 6:55.

Gareth Bale took four minutes to join the Real Madrid party as they beat Espanyol 4-2 and move back into third place in La Liga

After almost a month out with a calf strain he received a pass in the crowded area with apparently nowhere to go but with a double back heel he spun away from defender Lluis Lopez and into space before drilling his shot left footed past Diego Lopez

Madrid had Raphael Varane sent off shortly after for bringing down Pablo Piatti on the edge of the area and when Roberto Rosales scored to make it 4-2 with 10 minutes still remaining it was a nervous end to the game for Santiago Solari's side

But for so long they had dominated with their old swagger back and with Karim Benzema and Luka Modric unplayable

Gareth Bale celebrates after scoring on his return from a long injury layoff to give his side a three-goal cushion The Welshman showed off some neat footwork before scoring Real's fourth as he made his comeback from injury Karim Benzema opened the scoring after just four minutes as he followed up Luka Modric's saved shotMadrid took just three minutes to take the lead

Espanyol players looked on as Modric charged pass them with the ball at his feet into the penalty area

His shot was saved by Diego Lopez but the rebound ran straight to Benzema who scored

The goal belonged as much to Modric as Benzema. Solari seems to have told him to play more like a Balon d'Or winner, higher up the pitch and spending more time in the area he has become a more regular source of goals and assists

On the quarter hour he had another assist to his name crossing from the right for Sergio Ramos to head back into the far corner of Diego Lopez' goal

It was Ramos' 50th headed goal for the club.Espanyol – who were briefly top in November before their season collapsed – were creating very little but on 25 minutes Leo Baptistao came alive

First he forced Thibaut Courtois into a save at his near post and from the resulting corner the ball dropped to the Brazilian again and he rifled it into the roof of the Belgium keeper's net

Baptistao then galloped clear threatening to leave three Real Madrid defenders in his wake

He went down after the slightest of contact with Ramos and the defender was harshly booked

Sergio Ramos made it 2-0 11 minutes later when he lept highest to head home Real's second goal The Real Madrid captain celebrates with Lucas Vasquez after scoring his side's second goal against Espanyol The Frenchman doubled his tally before half-time to make it 3-1 as he restored Real's two-goal cushion Espanyol's Brazilian forward Leo Baptistao (right) celebrates scoring his side's first goal in the first halfBenzema put two goals between Madrid and Espanyol again just before the break with his 15th of the season

He played a one-two with Vinicius and driving low into the far corner. No one has performed more consistently in the post-Cristiano Ronaldo Real Madrid than the man who used to play him the ball at every opportunity

There was a change at half time with Ramos was taken off as a precaution after a knock on the knee sustained in the first period

Bale was soon warming back from that calf muscle strain suffered on January 4.The team looks a lot better now than when he picked up his injury and much of that has been down to the form of Benzema and Modric who continued to combine brilliantly

Benzema put Modric through and Diego Lopez saved his shot. Then Modric returned the favour but Benzema shot wide

Real Madrid defender Raphael Varane (right) is shown a straight red card for denying a goalscoring opportunity The French defender walks off the pitch as Santiago Solari watches on as his team try and hold on to their leadBale finally came on on 63 minutes to add the fourth goal on 67 minutes with practically his first touch

Varane brought down Piatti and with a man less Madrid saw out the remaining minutes with more nerves than they had envisaged

It was still an impressive display. The Champions League is on the horizon again and they are back in Champions League form with Bale fit and firing again

YAYYYY! hello everybody, my name is ryder. and this is caleb, from 8th grade.

we are gonna talk about the walk that raised money to support the fight against type 1 diabetes.

hi i'm caleb, 8th grade, 13, and i was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes in september of last year.

so what is type 1 diabetes?

type 1 diabetes is a chronic autoimmune disease where your immune system starts attacking

your pancreas so it can't produce insulin, and insulin is a crucial cell to keep your

body up and running and it allows sugar to pass through and power the cells.

so what was this walk for, and how does it help people with type 1 diabetes? so this

walk was a(n) outcome of a fundraiser that was been happening for the past 2 months, and

it raised in all of san francisco 1.2 million dollars, which is a lot of money.

our team, "got insulin?" raised 20,456 dollars, which is way more than i would have expected.

we had some very generous donors and 10 people from my grade showed up, and more from 6th and 7th,

and it was just very heartwarming to see the generosity that i have never seen

from our grade in school.

Fox Sport News - Crystal Palace 2-0 Tottenham: Wickham scores on long-awaited return - Duration: 11:05.

For Crystal Palace, this was an afternoon for individuals to remember.Connor Wickham finally put more than two years of injury troubles behind him to score his first goal in 799 days

Meanwhile, goalkeeper Julian Speroni buried the memories of last weekend's nightmare at Liverpool with three saves that helped his team over the line and in to the fifth round

For Tottenham, on the other hand, the failure was wholly collective Andros Townsend doubled Crystal Palace's lead from the penalty spot, sending goalkeeper Paulo Gazzaniga the wrong way The winger got his body over the ball to smash it into the back of the net and score against his former club Tottenham's reserve goalkeeper Paulo Gazzaniga was sent the wrong way, and could only watch across as the ball went in The spot kick was awarded after Kyle Walker-Peters mis-timed his jump and handled a cross put into the area Wickham was waiting at the back post and was unable to make contact with the cross as a result of Walker-Peters' handball Kieran Trippier had the chance to pull a goal back for Spurs with a penalty of their own, but skewed it horribly wide The England international held his head in his hands after failing to hit the target and pull his side back within one goal Shorn of injured players such as Harry Kane and Dele Alli and with other luminaries left on the bench in the name of rotation, Maurico Pochettino's team underlined much of what we already know, namely that the Tottenham squad is just not deep enough

Pochettino is not keen to buy players during this transfer window. He will not buy for buying sake, apparently

That's all very well and will no doubt please the accountants tasked with making up the shortfall from failure to build the club's new stadium on time

But as injuries have bitten during the recent weeks of Tottenham's season, the deep flaws in that policy have become clear

If you are to compete on two or three fronts at this time of year then you need bodies and after a summer of similar transfer inactivity, Tottenham do not have enough of them

After this, it is a dormant argument anyway. Now that defeat to Chelsea in the Carabao Cup semi-final has been followed by FA Cup disappointment in South London, a heavy work load is no longer Tottenham's problem

All they have left is the Premier League and the Champions League and as such it looks as though yet another Pochettino season will end without a trophy

Sooner or later, the Argentinean's CV is going to look lop-sided in the very worst way and if he is to move to Manchester United in the summer then he will do so having won not a single trophy in ten years as a manager

Here, Palace very much deserved their win. Spurs enjoyed the weight of possession but Palace had the purpose and the will and the decisiveness in front of goal

They were the team who looked as though a place in the next round was important to them and they had the individuals who stepped up to make the key contributions when it mattered

Wickham's goal in the ninth minute was a tap in but meant everything after so long out with knee trouble

In the modern game, the cruciate knee injury remains the greatest horror, particularly for forwards who rely on mobility and sharpness

The penalty call had been given after Patrick van Aanholt brought down defender Juan Foyth just inside the area Georges-Kevin N'Koudou also had a point-blank range effort saved by Julian Speroni following a well-worked free-kick At close quarters, Spurs squared the free-kick to the unmarked N'Koudou at the back post, who had a free shot on goal Connor Wickham arrived at the back post to slot the ball home and give Crystal Palace the lead after just 10 minutes The imposing forward timed his run into the box expertly and was able to latch onto the delivery and find the back of the net Tottenham players were left asking questions of each other after conceding so early into the contest at Selhurst ParkSo we can only guess what Wickham has been through since pulling up lame against Swansea more than two years ago

He has been eased back in to action slowly by his manager Roy Hodgson this season and only eight minutes had passed when Jeffrey Schlupp surged past Davinson Sanchez in to the penalty area and brought a low save from Paulo Gazzaniga, allowing Wickham to convert the rebound from a couple of yards

Few goals will come easier to the 25-year-old but equally few will ever mean more

His celebration spoke volumes from that point of view.Given a platform by the goal, Palace built on it quickly as Tottenham faltered

Tottenham had some possession and territory but didn't create anything other than a long range shot from Lucas Moura and when visiting defender Kyle Walker-Peters inexplicably handled a high cross just after the half hour Andros Townsend drove the resulting penalty down the middle and placed Palace in control of the game

Townsend should have scored again almost immediately. Set up by Patrick van Aanholt, he had the whole goal to aim at from 15 yards but struck his shot straight at the goalkeeper

That felt like a big moment and certainly would have been had Kieran Trippier not wasted a golden opportunity of his own right before half-time

Van Aanholt's penalty area challenge on Tottenham's Juan Foyth was rash but Trippier's subsequent kick was just dreadful, missing Speroni's right hand post by at least a foot

Prior to that Speroni had made a stunning double save from Georges-Kevin N'koudou after Tottenham had worked a clever free-kick on the edge of the penalty area

Early in the second half, meanwhile, the 39-year-old denied Fernando Llorente when the Spaniard had turned smartly in the area to drive a shot low towards the centre of the goal

Wickham was mobbed by his team-mates after putting Palace ahead and getting back among the goals for his side Wickham hit the back of the net on his first start in 792 days after suffering a serious injury which kept him sidelined  Wickham acknowledged the support from the home faithful, who roared his name following his early strike Wilfried Zaha was involved in the action from the off, and look to quickly kick-start attacks on the Spurs defensive line N'Koudou was given a rare start for Spurs, after recently impressing when coming on as a substitute in the Premier League They were important saves because as poorly as Tottenham were playing they would surely have fed off the momentum of a goal

In his programme notes, chairman Steve Parish had written about Speroni, asking supporters specifically to forgive him the previous weekend's mistake at Anfield

By the end, the Argentinean was being cheered from the field and it felt as though that particular mission had been accomplished

Afterwards Hodgson was wreathed in smiles. The Palace manager is 71 now but the competitive fires still burn

Pochettino, meanwhile, spoke of his ambitions in his team's two remaining competitions

But the stark truth is that another season is in danger of withering on its vine and deep down the Tottenham manager will know it

Opposing managers Roy Hodgson and Mauricio Pochettino greeted each other warmly on the touchline before kick-off

Liverpool transfer news: Reds to stick to Callum Hudson-Odoi plan despite Chelsea blow - Duration: 3:34.

That's per the Liverpool Echo. Reports from Germany earlier this month indicated that Liverpool had registered an interest in signing the England youth international

Sport Bild claimed that the Reds had even met with Hudson-Odoi and his brother amid speculation of a move to Bayern Munich

The Bundesliga champions are believed to have had as many as four bids rejected for Chelsea's academy graduate, with the largest said to be £35million

Hudson-Odoi only has 18 months left on his contract at Stamford Bridge and has handed in a transfer request in hope of more game-time elsewhere

The 18-year-old played and scored last night as Chelsea beat Sheffield Wednesday 3-0 in the FA Cup fourth round

But he has yet to start in the Premier League despite an impressive pre-season, making just five starts for the club across all competitions since his debut a year ago

It has even been suggested that Chelsea were willing to offer up to £85,000-a-week to tie Hudson-Odoi down for the long term in west London

But the Liverpool Echo say Liverpool will not make a move for the winger, who has been at Chelsea since the age of eight

Their report claims the Merseyside club have no interest in moving for Hudson-Odoi, freeing up Bayern to secure a deal

It is claimed Jurgen Klopp does not believe there is enough value in signing the youngster given his attacking options already at his disposal and the fee Chelsea would demand

Asked about whether he had just played his last game after scoring against Wednesday, Huson-Odoi told BBC Sport: "I don't know

I can't say. But you know I just keep working hard and you never know what happens

" And Chelsea assistant boss Gianfranco Zola, speaking after the match, implored the goalscorer to stay after chants of, 'We want you to stay' rang out at Stamford Bridge

Trending  "We want him to stay as well, we were singing too," the Italian joked

"He has a contract. We believe in what he can do for this team. I don't think there are many 18-year-old players around Europe that are are playing as much as him in a big team

"If you look at Juventus, all the big teams, they don't have many 18-year-old players playing like we do

"That shows that we believe in him, we think he can be an important player for us, so we will see what happens

"We can do as much as we can do. From our point of view he has a lot of strong players next to him

But we still find the space for him to play. Did he look like he didn't want to play?"

✅ Breaking News - Manuel Pellegrini would sell Arnautovic if the price was good for West Ham - Duration: 2:27.

Manuel Pellegrini says he will not stop Marko Arnautovic moving to China if the price is right

Arnautovic wants to quit West Ham for a big-money move to Shanghai SIPG, who are believed to be offering to almost treble his wages

West Ham have turned down an initial bid and maintain they do not want to sell their joint top-scorer, but if a satisfactory offer for the 29-year-old is received, Hammers boss Pellegrini will not stand in his way

'I don't have any problem with the club. In all the months I've been working here I never had any problems with the owners about that

'So they are not forcing me to sell Marko Arnautovic, but I think as a manager the best thing is to take the solution that is best for the player and the club, both together

If they agree, we don't have any problem to change.'I am not telling the club about it

If it's a good deal for both parties we will arrange to be without Marko - but the club doesn't want to sell him

'Two seasons ago Dimitri Payet, another fans' favourite at the London Stadium, refused to play until he got a move back to his former club Marseille

Pellegrini says he does not blame Arnautovic for having his head turned but is convinced the Austrian forward will continue to do his best for the team, even if the move does not come off

'Marko is working with the team without any problem,' said Pellegrini. 'When you have such a high offer, everyone wants to leave but he has a contract here and we will know what will happen about it in the coming days

'Of course you can't blame him, he knows what is the best option for him and now we will see what happens between the clubs

I don't think that the player will refuse to play.' Share this article Share
