Manchester United made it eight wins from eight under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer with a convincing 3-1 victory over Arsenal at the Emirates

The Red Devils went ahead through Alexis Sanchez, before Jesse Lingard doubled their lead after good work from Romelu Lukaku

Arsenal pulled one back through Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, with United then scoring a third through Anthony Martial late on

And the Manchester Evening News say Woodward visited the United dressing room after the game

It is said he and former Red Devils chief David Gill both decided to see the victorious players

And the MEN say Woodward encountered a jubilant set of players who were buzzing from the win

United's win over Arsenal appears to have fuelled hopes that, with Solskjaer in charge, the club can bring the glory days back to Old Trafford

One of the positives from the match was the performance of Sanchez, whose goal was just his second this season

The Chile international has struggled ever since joining United from Arsenal 12 months ago

Trending  And Solskjaer thinks the 30-year-old has taken a 'big step forward'

"You try to sit him down and speak to him but he's a really hard-working, proud man, and he is really determined to prove his worth," he said

"He has been fantastic since I came. His work rate in training has been brilliant

"Unfortunately, he has had the injuries, but I think [Friday] is a big, big step forward for him

"Everyone gets treated the same, because when you come in and you are looking around the dressing room and there are so many good players you have to prove your worth

"You don't just live off the price tag. "I am not interested in what they have cost or what they are earning

"What I am interested in is what they can give the team. But he does really want to be part of it

Carrie Underwood gives birth to baby No. 2 - News Live - Duration: 1:52.

Carrie Underwood's a mom, again!

"Jacob Bryan Fisher entered the world in the wee hours of the morning on Monday," the country singer announced via Instagram on Wednesday. "His mom, dad and big brother couldn't be happier for God to trust them with taking care of this little miracle! Our hearts are full, our eyes are tired and our lives are forever changed. Life is good…"

Underwood and husband, Mike Fisher, are already parents to 3-year-old son Isaiah.

Underwood, 35, announced that she was pregnant in August via Instagram and revealed just weeks later that she had suffered three miscarriages in 2017.

"Mike was away just for the evening, and I texted him, and I was like, 'I don't really want to be alone, so I'm just gonna go snuggle with Isaiah.' And I don't know how I didn't wake him up, but I was just sobbing," she said of her experience with her last miscarriage. "And I was like, 'Why on Earth do I keep getting pregnant if I can't have a kid? Like, what is this? Shut the door. Like, do something. Either shut the door or let me have a kid.'"

"And for the first time, I feel like I actually I told God how I felt. And I feel, like, we're supposed to do that. That was like a Saturday – and the Monday I went to the doctor to, like, confirm, another miscarriage. And they told me everything was great!"

Underwood is set to begin her "Cry Pretty Tour 360" in May 2019.
