Hello to all and to all I am Rugelio XDZ and on this occasion we are here
to talk about Roma, a film
much loved by many critics, and hated also by many others and the vast majority of
people who saw it which are based on it being boring.
Today we won't focus on the controversy, today I'm here to explain to you why Roma is
the best thing that has happened to today's cinema. So pay a lot of attention, you're with Rugelio.
this
video contains high doses of spoilers, so veil under your responsibility.
A VIDEO OF RUGELIO XDZ
Alfonso Cuaron, who wrote and directed
this MOVIE is a genius, he did incredibly well, it's his most personal film,
from a technical point of view, it can be said that the design
of production is incredible, it transports you totally to that epoch that is Mexico of the 70´s,
Cuarón remembers
his childhood and dedicates this film to the women of his life, his mother and his maid.
It's a more contemplative film indeed,
if you pay attention you will see all the small details
that Cuarón tried to capture on screen, the
plane in the reflection of the water for example that means
how distant it is to Cleo, it's visual poetry most of the time,
the camera has incredibly beautiful shots
, the camera movements make everything so visually brilliant, even
the action of cleaning feces from a dog, it is true that in a Cuaron scene if
something pretentious was put and that is the scene of the fire in the forest.
As if all this were not enough, its greatest virtue lies in what it wants to convey,
it really makes a hyperrealistic portrait of us, not only of Mexico, but also of Latin America.
in general, the ambulants, the spoiled grandmother, the fights in the middle of a meal, the social inequalities
but not in the absurd way as the soap operas do, but as it really
is, as always we humans have a need to rank ourselves. Everyday life, routine
in the life of a family, but above all by focusing on Cleo, it can at times seem
very tedious and boring to some, but if you pay attention you will understand that everything
is necessary for the true message that Cuaron wants to give, in a way it is a criticism
of society, in how they treat Cleo you can see it, in a moment you tell him that you love her
and appreciate her, then you yell at her and treat her badly.
