WARFRONTS

WARFRONTS: explanations, achievements

Hello everyone it's Bibock and today we're going to do the "Fronts de Guerre" or Warfronts in english

This episode will be articulated in two: first of all, we're going to talk about this new mod (What is this? How it works?) if you missed this event

Which has been released, for us in the Alliance, 2 years ago I think

So yeah I'll explain briefly the purpose of this event and then we're going to talk about the related achievements

Warfronts are kind of "PvE battlegrounds"

Alliance against Horde, but in any way you won't fight real players

We must gather resources, just like Warcraft 3, in fact I think this mod is a tribute for WC3

FAILED! It's a Warcraft TWO tribute :p

Thanks to iron and woods, we are enable to construct buildings, improve them, recruit troops... in order to attack and destroy the ennemy main camp

The first resource we absolutly need as I said is iron which can be found in the mine located at the east of our main base

The iron can be looted from Kobolds or in Iron carts which spawn every 2-3 mins

I got a good tip here for you. Because there is a rotation with the two factions Alliance-Horde each week, there is a mirror effect on the scenario

That means they also have a mine! (And also a lumbermill but we don't care)

So, if you're looking for many irons and ppl with you are stealing all of your iron carts in front of you

You can just go to the Horde mine further in the north to get all of those free iron carts

And the second resource we need is wood. At the lumbermill (west of our base), there is an axe nearby the npc and the flag, just laid against logs

When you click on it, you'll receive a buff allowing you to cut some trees but not all of them!

A druid who massacres trees with a axe... that's not roleplay!! Who cares? :')

Now you've collected many resources, it's time to build!

When you reach the castle lvl 2, you can construct a.... I don't know the french translate...construct a workshop!

It allows you to create siege engines and when you have 3 of them, they'll rush mid to destroy Horde towers and gates, allowing you to go in their main camp to kill their leader

Let's talk about achiev: the first we want here is Strike Hard where you're supposed to take a position (I was raging in the tchat because I didn't know what to do in my first Stromgarde scenario :') )

In order to capture a position, you must kill the elite(s) nearby. They are Horde characters with a Horde flag in their back

The second achiev we're looking for is the following of the last we saw. Strike Fast requires you to capture ALL of the locations

This is very rare the Horde get a base back after you captured it. So except if you are the first to click on EVERY base, I'm pretty sure you'll do multiple runs in this scenario

Leader of Troops consists of recruiting every unit once. The footman, the rifleman, the priest and the knight can be recruited from the Barrakcs whereas the siege engine is created from the Workshop

A lil thing you need to know about the Workshop is you can't have more than 3 siege engines alive. And because the Horde is not dealing enough damage to kill them, if you're not one of the first to contribute for it, you won't have probably the opportunity to create one before your next run

The next achiev is probably the hardest one to get: An Eventful Battle. You're supposed to accomplish of all those rare events listed below

A rare event spawns every 10-15min. And a scenario lasts between 20-45min, it depends if you have a a rushing group or not

So you'll have 1-2 rares events per scenario (I was lucky and I got 3 rares once on 14 runs)

Rares are totally random, there is no rotation or pattern here. You can fight the same rare on multiple scenarios if you're unlucky --' or finishing this achiev in a quite reasonable time. The best is to farm

And because Blizzard wanted to piss us off, they said: "I think that's a good idea to add rare events which are not listed in the achiev. And those events will appear more often, just to annoy people"

So here again, I can assure you, you'll farm the runs again and again...

After... that's not that bad... I mean there is a quite cool xmog to get sooo farming it is not that pointless

Beside the achiev, rare events will often give you rewards: resources, a new powerful ally, ...

There are many reasons to do them so, do not hesitate next time you see one in your map :)

Finally, the two last achievs are War is Hell where you're supposed to finish the scenario. Not that hard ^^

And Tour of War! You need to kill all of the 3 commanders to get it

There is a commander per rotation. And because we're switching Alliance/Horde turns every week

So every 2 weeks, there is a new rotation for us. And there are 3 commanders. So if you want to get that achiev, you need 6 weeks!

That's all for today, I know that was quick but as I said, I'm doing short content now and you know... it's faster for you, the information is the same quality and I got more free time so everyone's happy :D

Big kisses and I'll see you in the next video, tchao!

OUTSIDERS VLOG#15: Does the bike make it to Hanoi? - Duration: 5:04.

As if the devil is playing with it.

Fifty kilometers before Hanoi ...

I just don't know where to stop anymore.

I constantly think: would this be a nice picture?

Yes it is, but maybe there will be something more beautiful.

And then after two corners: oh this is also a nice picture!

... I wish I had. Well on and on this way.

It is just one big beautiful landscape.

On a motor from south to north ...

Driving on my own motorcycle from South Vietnam to North Vietnam, to the border with China ...

2400 kilometers ...

in six weeks.

It was a fantastic adventure ...

But keep in mind: six weeks, seven weeks is a long time.

It is hard.

It is very easy to drift away in the scenery ...

Or to see the road like a river and start dream away a bit ...

But you really have to keep paying attention because there could be a pit at any moment.

or a truck crossing the road.

And that is pretty exhausting.

I'm going to miss you very much boy.

You did a fantastic job.

But I also look forward to be on an island again ...

And just to lie there with my feet up.

And not having to worry every minute: oh shit ...

Is the engine not getting too hot?

How much petrol do I still have?

Does my luggage not fall off?

Look! She knows a trick.

And ... sleep!

How to get a little chick quiet.

Just slamming his brain.

Can you wake him up?

There he is!

Gosh. Leave that animal alone please.

If you are driving you pass very small villages.

If you are hungry you have to search for signs along the road with:

com, which means rice

Pho, means: noodle soup

Go, means chicken

Once you know those words, you can figure out what you want. A kind of menu card along the way.

And look what you get served!

She sure thought I was starving. Look at that bowl of rice.

Very good. I wonder what the damage will be...

Probably not more than 80ct.

A dream. Eating in Vietnam.

I walked to the back to go to the bathroom at a little diner here ...

A whole bunch of puppies ...

A pretty aggressive dog ...

Something tells me that these dogs are not just for breeding.

Well, Kyoto.

Because that's my bike's name. The last fifty kilometers ...

of the whole journey through Vietnam.

And then I arrive in Hanoi.

There I will have to sell my baby.

Fifty kilometers. And if I make it to Hanoi undamaged ...

knocking it off...

I can proudly say that ...

the whole trip went well for six weeks.

And I would find that quite an achievement.

Why am I doing this? Why am I putting this pressure on myself?

Another fifty kilometers!

And then...

We are there. The finish line.

As if the devil is playing with it.

My luggage carrier broke!

Suddenly my license plate is hanging against the wheel.

Luckily I noticed it within a second.

My bags have not fallen off.

I think the damage is not bad.

But i need a new one.

And guess where I stopped at ...

A mechanic!

He walked straight to me and said: Ho ho, no problem.

You are going to Hanoi. I'm gonna put a new one on your bike.

I'm exhausted! I'm really tired. My ears hurt, my eyes hurt ...

... of all the heat and dust.

But I am proud.

because ...

We are in Hanoi.
