De Juanito a Juan: la soledad del primer hijo de Iñaki Urdangarin - Duration: 4:47.

Hacía dos meses que había cumplido los 12 años cuando imputaron a su padre.

Sencillo y aniñado, Juanito, como le llaman en casa, jamás pensó lo que se le venía encima.

Tampoco sus padres, Iñaki Urdangarin y Cristina de Borbón, quienes decidieron volver a Barcelona para capear la crisis desde casa y se sintieron rechazados desde el primer momento.

Juan Valentín de Todos los Santos de Urdangarin y Borbón, el mayor de los hijos Urdangarin, que este sábado cumple 19 años de edad,

sufrió ese rechazo en primera persona, lo que lo volvió un chico reservado y apegado a sus padres.

Ahora, con Iñaki en prisión y Pablo en Alemania, Juanito se ha convertido en el cabeza de familia, junto a la Infanta.

Cuando imputaron a Urdangarin, Juan estaba a punto de entrar en la adolescencia.

Vivían en Washington DC, lejos de todo, incluso de sus amigos, aquellos con los que empezó a estudiar en el Liceo Francés de Barcelona.

Volver a la capital catalana se antojaba como la solución a la soledad de los niños ante las persecuciones de la prensa (recordemos las imágenes de Urdangarin corriendo por las calles de Washington delante de varios cámaras de televisión).

Los amigos que volaron; Pero en Barcelona les esperaba la indignación. Hasta en el colegio donde habían sido las estrellas.

Cuando la Infanta y su marido aparecían por la escuela, siempre se les veía rodeados de corrillos de 'amigos' que se pirraban por intimar con la hija del entonces rey Juan Carlos.

Lo recuerdan a Vanitatis algunos padres de compañeros de los Urdangarin: "Había padres que los perseguían,

que morían por ser amigos de los duques, pero cuando estalló todo el escándalo, esos mismos amigos desaparecieron.

A nadie le gustaba que se relacionara el colegio con la corrupción. Y poco a poco la indignación dio paso a los insultos".

Sin fiestas de cumpleaños; Tanto Juan como Pablo, el siguiente hermano, jugaban a balonmano y como su padre era quien era, ellos brillaban.

Pero de pronto pasaron a dejar incluso de recibir invitaciones para fiestas de cumpleaños. Y Juanito, el mayor, no podía con la presión.

Le insultaban, le decían que su padre era un ladrón…Iñaki y Cristina sufrieron por su hijo mayor,

que vivía una situación que fue uno de los principales motivos por los que abandonaron España.

Poco a poco Juan ha encontrado su lugar. Mucho ha cambiado todo desde entonces.

La crisis en el colegio barcelonés lo apegó mucho a sus padres, de quienes dependía su bienestar emocional.

El trabajo realizado desde la Ecolint, escuela internacional en la que han estudiado los cuatro (Juanito,

Pablo, Miguel e Irene) ha sido "fantástico", según reconoce un amigo de la familia.

La solidad del primogénito; Y Juanito es ya Juan, un chico mayor, responsable, concienciado con la sociedad y pendiente de sus hermanos pequeños.

Terminó sus estudios hace dos años y desde entonces se ha dedicado a labores solidarias, lo que le ha llevado incluso a realizar algún viaje al tercer mundo como voluntario.

Ahora vive en Ginebra, pendiente de sus hermanos, lo que no le quita tiempo para viajar a España y visitar a su padre en la prisión de Brieva, Ávila.

Hace una semana, el miércoles 19, Juan asistió al partido del Valencia contra la Juve que se celebró en el estadio de Mestalla.

Partido en el que Urdangarin sufrió porque es valencianista y perdieron 2-0.

Días después, el mayor de los hermanos viajó a Alemania para apoyar a Pablo, el segundo, quien juega balonmano en el Hannover Bergdorf,

equipo alemán por el que ha fichado, siguendo la estela de su padre.

Un padre cuya ausencia pesa en todos sus familiares, especialmente en sus cuatro hijos.
