Hey girls! Welcome to my channel!!
Today I've got a really interesting experiment for you
I had seen the components of this experiment by separate
In different reviews and also I had read some articles about it
This experiment is about rice water + onion and garlic for hair growth
This time we will be mixing all the components together.
You know confessions of a curl it's all about proving myths or realities through experiments.
And seeing how the mane reacts to them.
Stay tuned to see what this experiment is all about!
Before going ahead with the experiment,
Please allow me to tell you a little bit of what I found about the history and benefits of the components
Rice water has a bunch of vitamins and minerals and it has been used through centuries by japanese and chinese to help grow healthy hair
Rice contains folic acid, magnesium, potassium,
Thiamine, Vitamin B6 and many other vitamins.
But there is a essential vitaminic component called "INOSITOL"
This vitamin helps to increase hair elasticity, making it more manageable and flexible
helping the curls define better
And it also helps to soften the surface of the hair strand so they glide past each other without creating friction which translates into less tangles and knots.
Another interesting fact is that rice it's so wonderful that even if you wash it out of your hair it will keep on doing it's work.
On the other hand we have the onion (which I love). Onion has several components that are also beneficial,
Like sulfur, vitamin A,C,E & biotin (you know biotin is the secret to a radiant skin, nails and hair).
Apart from this, onion helps stimulate blood flow to the hair scalp
and this will help to stimulate hair growth
Onion has also been used to treat dandruff, hair damaged or weak.
Onion is just wonderful in every way!
Not to make you wait any longer. Let me tell you what I mixed to make this experiment:
I used a yellow onion, 2 garlic cloves, some peppermint essential oil
which not only helps to remove the onion-garlic smell (I know you probably feared this when you heard onion and garlic). But it also stimulates blood flow into the hair scalp.
Don't worry, your mane will only smell like peppermint.
I mixed this with some rice water I had fermenting for 2 days
The longer it stays the more nutrients it releases.
I used a yellow onion because this one has more sulfur than the red one. (Sulfur is one of the main ingredients that will help your hair grow healthy)
I will be doing this experiment for a whole month, once a week to be able to see results or not
If it looks more healthy
or if it has really grown
I might do it for a month and 2 weeks
So, without further due, let's right jump into it!
Chop the onion into little pieces along with the 2 garlic cloves.
Add the chopped ingredients into a pan
Add 1 1/2 cup of distilled water to the pan
Turn the heat up until it starts to boil
Let it cool
Strain it (we don't want the onion or garlic chunks in our hair)
Mix in 1/2 cup of the rice water to this
Add a few drops of peppermint essential oil,
stir it well,
add it to a spray bottle or applicator bottle (your choice).
To apply it, I did it after my normal wash routine (shampoo, conditioner and then the experiment)
I divided my hair into sections and applied the experiment
making sure to massage my scalp and soaking my whole hair in it
I placed a plastic cap for an hour. You can leave it from 30mins up to an hour
I rinsed it out with plenty of water and proceeded to my normal styling
My hair didn't really have an onion or garlic smell
I chose peppermint cause it helps with blood flow into the scalp but you can choose the essential oil of your preference
This are the measurements for this week, in 7 days I will be measuring it again to see if anything has changed.
This is all for now, thank you for watching!
