Waching daily Sep 20 2018

That's despite Arsenal beginning their Europa League campaign tonight when they welcome Ukrainian side Vorskla (8pm)

It comes after an indifferent start in the Premier League with Arsenal losing their opening two games before winning their last three

The Gunners finished sixth in last season's table under Arsene Wenger with the Frenchman leaving the club during the summer and being replaced by Emery

And having fallen out of Europe's elite tournament, the Champions League, Emery has spoken about his priorities for each competition this year

"I told the players the same thing that I'll tell you," Emery said. "The Premier League is the first competition because it's giving us a big responsibility, maybe bigger than the others, in the season

"There are 38 matches, so your first analysis is like this. Other competitions are very important too

"Today, we are only thinking about giving our supporters the first performance and a good 90 minutes on the pitch at the Emirates

"We are excited about every match. I want to give the players the same excitement when they are at the Emirates

"Then we are going to think about Sunday. First is tomorrow." And Emery knows he will need to rotate his players this season

He added: "For me, every match, each moment, is about finding the best performance with the players

"We have four competitions this season. Tomorrow is the Europa League, Sunday is Premier League, then it's Carabao Cup and then we're going to play in FA Cup

"I want the same thing for every player because each match is important. "The second situation is that we need to give minutes to the players who can produce the best performance for us

Breaking News - Danny Cipriani axed by ruthless Eddie Jones - Duration: 3:57.

Danny Cipriani has been left out of England's latest training squad, despite making a superb start to the season for his new club, Gloucester

The 30-year-old fly-half has received widespread acclaim for his exploits for the West Country club in recent weeks – with one try-creating pass being lauded as among the finest in recent memory

However, Cipriani has not been included among the players who will gather for a two-day camp in Bristol at the start of next week

There will be an assumption that this decision by Eddie Jones to overlook the talented playmaker – who is the incumbent No 10 in the Test team – is a consequence of his arrest and prosecution in Jersey during the summer

Cipriani pleaded guilty to common assault and resisting arrest following an altercation outside a hotel bar in St Helier

Yet, the national coach has also suggested that he has been less impressed by Cipriani's form than the public and pundits, who have queued up to praise him

The Australian picked the former Wasps and Sale stand-off ahead of George Ford ahead of England's series finale in South Africa back in June, when the tourists went on to claim a consolation victory in Cape Town, but this is an indication that he still harbours some reservations

Meanwhile, as revealed last night by Sportsmail, Chris Ashton has been named in the England training squad, even though he is currently banned from playing

Sale's prolific wing recruit from Toulon is suspended until October 16, after being found guilty of a tip-tackle on Castres scrum-half Rory Kockott during a pre-season fixture in France

Jones will announce his squad for the November internationals two days after Ashton's ban ends, meaning he has no time to make his case on the field

But Jones has included the 31-year-old in the West Country gathering from Sunday to Tuesday, with a view to considering him for a Test recall in the autumn campaign at Twickenham

Another high-profile figure who has made the cut this time is Manu Tuilagi. The Leicester centre is attempting to regain full match sharpness and peak form after enduring a multitude of injury setbacks in recent years, but Jones wants to work closely with him, in the knowledge that he can offer the 'X-factor' threat that the Red Rose management crave

Speaking shortly after the announcement, Jones said that the camp gave England's forwards in particular the opportunity to lay down a marker in front of new defence coach John Mitchell, who was appointed earlier this week

'The training camp in Bristol is our last opportunity to get the squad together before the Quilter Internationals so it is vital we put down some parameters, particularly with John Mitchell coming in as defence coach

'We'll implement a slightly different defence philosophy building on the great work Paul Gustard has done to keep advancing our defence

It's a great opportunity for the players to work with John and for the team to keep evolving

'It's a chance to get the players thinking about England and the way we want to play for England and the way we want to beat South Africa

These players have the opportunity to press their chances for selection ahead of the first Test so they will have to be enthusiastic and ready to give their best

Man Utd team news: Predicted Man Utd line up vs Wolves – who will replace suspended duo? - Duration: 2:42.

Manchester United have shaken off their early season jitters and have rolled back into form ahead of their clash with Premier League new boys Wolves on Saturday

The Red Devils cruised to a 3-0 victory over Young Boys in their Champions League group stage opener, with Paul Pogba scoring twice and Anthony Martial capping off the win

Victories over Burnley and Watford in their last two domestic games will have also been a welcome relief for Jose Mourinho

The Portuguese boss has plenty of positives to take away from the last few games, though his attention will be focused on replacing a pair of suspended stars ahead of this weekend

Nemanja Matic picked up a late second yellow card during the win over Watford and is ruled out of the game against Wolves

The former Chelsea star has been a consistent performer for United but Mourinho will have to find a way to replace him

He joins Marcus Rashford on the sidelines with the youngster serving a three-game ban for headbutting Burnley defender Phil Bardsley

Alexis Sanchez, Romelu Lukaku and Jesse Lingard are expected to start up front with Rashford out, while Marouane Fellaini, Fred and Pogba will take up positions in the midfield

Fellaini produced a man of the match display against Watford and will be keen to stake his claim for consistent game time versus Wolves

Luke Shaw returned to action against Young Boys after recovering from a head injury during the international break

The England international has previously failed to reclaim his place after injury set-backs, but his strong form means Mourinho is likely to recall him ahead of Ashley Young

Chris Smalling and Victor Lindelof appear to be settled as a defensive partnership despite Marcos Rojo nearing a return to action following a long-term injury

Predicted Manchester United team to face Wolves (4-2-3-1) De Gea; Valencia, Lindelof, Smalling, Shaw; Fred, Pogba, Fellaini; Lingard, Lukaku, Sanchez
