Arsenal told Lazio that Spanish forward Lucas Perez is available for £7m.
The 29-year-old is being allowed to leave North London this summer after having no impressive
performance at the club.
Perez has only 11 times out of the pitch for the Gunners since he moved from Deportivo
in 2016.
The man had previously spent the season before loan back at his old club, scoring eight goals
at the La Liga side.
And since his returned to his parents club, it does not appear that he is in the new Unai
Emery management plan.
The appearance of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has increased competition for position in
the attack with Alexandre Lacazette and Danny Welbeck as well ahead of the Perez in pecking
order.
According to the Italian publication Corriere di Roma, the Gunners have set their request
price at just £7m for the striker.
Lazio is on the market for a front as they look to reinforce their lineup for next season.
And the Serie A club's sporting director Igli Tare is believed to be confident that
an agreement can be concluded before the start of the Serie A campaign.
Management Simone Inzaghi has the money to spend after selling Brazilian Felipe Anderson
to West Ham for £36m.
Other stars Sergej Milinkovic-Savic and Ciro Immobile can also be on the way out with some
of Europe's leading teams sniffing around the pair.
Milinkovic-Savic was linked to Manchester United and Real Madrid although he was still
at the club with Lazio requesting about £100m for the player.
Immobile, the main source of Lazio in target, has also been associated with a move away
this summer.
If he stayed, putting in the Perez would certainly reduce dependence on the Italian hitman however
the record was 29 goals in the 33 Serie a match last season.
