 Barcelona star Mina has emerged as a Manchester United transfer target as they look to strengthen their defence

 Jose Mourinho is hunting a new centre-back having grown frustrated with the form and fitness of Eric Bailly, Phil Jones, Marcos Rojo, Chris Smalling and Victor Lindelof

 Barcelona only signed Mina in January but, having signed Clement Lenglet from Sevilla, a move to Manchester United could beckon

 Yet Sport say the Colombia international has been asked to sit tight and wait before making a decision on his future

 The player has offers from Everton and Lyon but it is a move to United where he has elsewhere been credited has having the most interest in

   The Red Devils are supposedly locked in talks with Leicester over a deal for Maguire, who impressed for England during their memorable World Cup campaign

 Sport say United have told Mina they may come in for him in the coming days. And they have also supposedly asked Barcelona what they would require to let the 23-year-old go

 At the moment, United's pursuit of Maguire is failing to pay off with Leicester refusing to budge

 Mourinho is willing to pay £42million to sign the Leicester star - but the Foxes will only consider bids of around £62m

 Maguire and his representatives have made no comment so far on wanting to join United

 Sky Sports man Dharmesh Sheth, meanwhile, thinks United's interest in Mina could be a way of driving Maguire's price down

 "With regards to Maguire, United remain keen but as we know, Leicester do not want to sell," he said on Sky Sports News

 "Certainly not for the £65m that we think United value Maguire at. "This could be looked at another way

Could the Mina link also be a way of getting Leicester to soften their stance and lower their price?"

 Milinkovic-Savic has emerged as one of the hottest properties in European football this summer after making his mark at the Stadio Olimpico

 Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho has been heavily linked with a raid for the Serbian, who played alongside Nemanja Matic at the World Cup

 Chelsea, Real Madrid, Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain have likewise been credited with interest in getting Milinkovic-Savic on-board

 However, Inzaghi seems to think the 23-year-old will stay with Lazio after describing himself as "calm" amid the prolonged speculation

 "I asked for Alejandro Gomez as a substitute for Felipe Anderson, then we analysed the situation and we preferred to take [Joaquin] Correa, a young player who will give us so much because he boasts physical and technical qualities," said Inzaghi, when asked about Lazio's transfer business

Book News: Cache Of Letters From 'Frankenstein' Author Found

The daily lowdown on books, publishing, and the occasional author behaving badly.

A British academic stumbled upon a trove of unpublished letters written by Frankenstein author Mary Shelley, who was the daughter of women's rights activist Mary Wollstonecraft and the wife of Romantic poet Percy Bysshe Shelley.

Nora Crook, emerita professor of English Literature at Anglia Ruskin University, said that she found the letters at the Essex Record Office.

"I knew right away they had never been published before," she told The Guardian.

Written to Shelley's friend Horace Smith and his daughter Eliza, the letters, which date from 1831 to 1849, discuss the suthor's declining health — in one, she apologizes for her "blotty and invalidy" writing.

Other letters are lighter: She says that she called a hairdresser at three in the morning the day of William IV's coronation, and that she was "mortified" her son wasn't taller.

The letters will be published in the Keats-Shelley Journal.

Barnes & Noble appointed Michael Huseby its new CEO on Wednesday, replacing William Lynch, who abruptly left the company in July.

Huseby, who has a finance background, has been running the company's Nook digital media division.

Παράλληλα έγινε έκκληση στα ΜΜΕ να κρατήσουν μια απόσταση από την κηδεία, αφού θέλουν να αποχαιρετήσουν όπως πρέπει τους ανθρώπους τους
