Daniel Sturridge stated that his loan policy in West Brom made him realize what he had
to do to recover his career in Liverpool.
Sturridge spent the second half of the previous season borrowing at Baggies, but had only
six appearances when they relegated from the Premier League.
Although there are very few appearances and failures in helping West Brom beat the decline,
Sturridge says that the loan policy is just what he needs.
"Good job," Sturridge said.
"I don't regret it."
Experience made me grow like a person.
It's all like that.
"Developed as a man, developed as a football player.
From outside looking at, you can also improve.
"When you look at the inside, sometimes you won't see what you have to do to reach the
next level – how you need to change his game.
"When you are inside, you don't see it.
When you are outside, you can evaluate everything differently.
Sturridge has played half an hour in Liverpool's 4-1 victory over Manchester United's arch
rivals in Michigan on Saturday, scoring and impresses with Jurgen Klopp boss with his
strength and fitness.
But Sturridge was a believer hurting most of his career in recent years and admitted
he couldn't afford to look too far ahead, despite a promising campaign ahead of the
season.
The 28-year-old player will have a task to break the three striker of Liverpool as Mo
Salah, Sadio Mané and Roberto Firmino, but are optimistic about the upcoming season.
"It was amazing but I don't get too carried away, " Sturridge said.
"I feel great but not just about me.
It is about what we do as a group.
"People are pushing themselves to the limit because we had a big season ahead.
"We feel we can do something special.
We were almost ahead a lot of times.
"I'm not in the Champions League season before, but it was very close.
We want to win something.
