Waching daily May 16 2017

hi everyone! Welcome to the 4th episode of Behind The Vlog

today I'm going to talk about

all my gear! everything I'm using for the vlogs and

what I use in which situation

simply because a lot of comments concern my gear

what I use, How etc .

so I'm going to show you absolutely everything!

I'll try to go fast aha

so I'll talk about

the image / video

then I'll talk about the audio

then the storage then the carriage and the cleaning phase

then we'll see if I have saliva left aha

so to begin with Image, there are two parts as well

the first one is about sport camera

small camera

the second part is about cinematic video

or video like this one, or travel video

to begin with the action camera

what I use

is the GoPro Hero 5 that is wonderful

I'm gonna show it to you right now! It's so tiny

It fits in one hand, this is what I use for months

to vlog, so tiny! And there's an lcd screen on the back

so it's very convenient to see what you record, compared to the older models

except the 4th with the LCD screen I know

so now it's a native screen, don't need to buy it!

you can change the battery as well, and you have to know that this is waterproof without any case!

compared to the older gopro

I can put it into the water, it's not going to do anything!

and when I want to make more cinematic videos,

or a video like I'm recording right now,

or video where I need to zoom

because with the GoPro you can't zoom

so for these videos, I'm using the Panasonic Lumix G7

it's a mirrorless camera, not a dslr

there's a difference but who cares

it's a great camera

because it can record 4K videos, it can also record up to

60 fps in 1080, that means you can do slow mo in full HD

it's going to be smooth

and in 4K, it can go up to

30fps, great as well!

and what's nice about this camera, first, it's very tiny

and then it's so lightweight comapred to canon dslr for example

so the lens I'm using right now is

the 14-42mm kit lens

it allows me to zoom, so 14mm is the wide angle

and 42mm is the zoom, to see further

currently I'm a little bit zoomed,

there It's max zoom, and then it's widest angle

so this is what I use!

most of the time, and I've also a wide angle

lens adaptor,

this is the wide angle adapter,

we can see that it's quite big, so here I see you with the fisheye effect

I can see the whole apartment right now

so this is the widest angle I have, and on the back I can plug

a macro lens, to do

some really close shot, I've never used it

I can't see anything aha, so the macro is quite useless,

for a vlogger it's definitely useless, but it was sold together so

I bought it, so what's happening with the wide angle lens adapter

it does *0.45 to my 14-42mm kit lens

so 14*0.45 and 42*0.45 = my new lens with this adapter

so it becomes a 6.3-19mm lens!

so it does the effect you can see in the skateboarding video,

you can even see the corners

you also have to know that the lumix beats the gopro in low light

it's good to know because when it's becoming a litle bit dark outside

the gopro becomes quite useless

or the image becomes grainy

grain everywhere!

it's ugly! so now let's talk audio!

I know I'm always saying the same thing but the audio is so important!

because you can't follow a video with bad song

but you can watch a video with bad image quality

for example: streaming!!!

when the audio is very bad, we look for another video

but when the image sucks, we stay, because it's how streaming works aha

so good example, and it's true also for vlogs, tutorials etc!

even more when you talk to your audience, because sometimes I add music

when we walk, or when we don't talk,

to keep the audience awake!

but when I talk,

I need a great audio, even more if you plan

to add a little song in background, if you have an ugly audio + a background music

you're going to loose all the viewers aha

about the audio,

I have two rode microphones, a really good brand, from Australia I think!

anyway, the quality is great! so the

microphone recording my voice right now is the rode videomic GO

and then I also have a smaller mic

this one is very tiny, it's the one

you can use with the gopro for example

there's a wind cover / wind cat / wind muff

it works great in windy day! even better than the videomic go

so this is the videomicro

both microphones cost around 50€

it's quite cheap for the quality, and you don't need any

battery to use them!

it's great because if you have to carry batteries for the mic

in addition to the rest ....

with gopro batteries, lumix batteries etc ... you end up with 600 batteries in your bag!

I swear I can't! I didn't come here to suffer alright???

so it's very nice

you can have better audio for sure, some mic cost more than 300€

but you need the battery etc

and I'm not doing movies for cinema

so I don't need better audio right now!

I also have a digital recorder, the

ZOOM H1 it's a great mic

it's a digital recorder, you can plug external mic to it!

so if I'm very far from the camera,

and I don't want to have a huge wire

I can use the H1, put it in my pocket, and plug

an external microphone to it

for example a lavalier mic

and then I just have to sync the audio with the video

it doesn't matter the distance

you'll hear me as if I was in front of the camera, really close

you can also record voice over with the zoom h1

for example the stop motion I did on this channel, I could have used the zoom h1

the audio from the ZOOMH1

is very wonderful

it's a stereo system

and the quality of it is awesome

all the review are great

I also have a lavalier mic!

it's use by a lot of journalists

or in tv shows! they all wear a lavalier mic

I'll show you!

this one needs a battery

but most of them don't need one

in taiwan I only found this one!

the audio is very nice

this is how I recorded all the previous behind the vlog videos!

today, no sound in the apt,

so I can use my shotgun mic

it's called shotgun mic because

it's a mic that records in only one direction, where it's pointing!

so if I turn the camera to record a landscape, you hear me less than if the camera

points at me!

and finally! I also have

a tiny microphone for my iPhone

or on the GoPro etc!

look how it's tiny!

smaller than my big thumb

it's also a shotgun mic

so on my iphone it's pointing at me

and if someone else is talking, I can rotate it

I bought it for only 15/20€, it's the saramonic imic

it's very useful for people vlogging with their smartphones!

it's a must have!

and finally, I have this cable!

so hard to get one here in Taiwan!

it's the external mic

adapter for the GoPro Hero 5

it accepts 3.5mm jack or USB-C mic!

the GoPro Hero 5 can't deal with external

microphone without this adapter

I don't know why aha

it costs around 50€

quite expensive!

a must have for the gopro vlogers!

I did it for months, so I needed it

so now let's talk storage!

I got two micro sd cards

it costs around 100€

and this one also, it's a 1TB

I have it in my bag everyday, it "waterproof", dustproof and shockproof

great quality!

why do I have so much storage? simply because everyday I end up with

5 to 15 GB of files

and I also have a dropbox with 1032GB but it's full

everyday 15GB, for one year ...

+ the projects + the final video

it's a real issue I need to solve!

HOW MANAGE MY VIDEOS

what do to with them, how to store them etc

1- I keep only the videos where we talk

2- I keep only the landscapes ?

I don't know yet

or I keep only the final video (the one I upload on youtube)

I 'll have to find something to fix this problem!

if you have ideas, please comment!

because I'm kind of lost on this subject aha

I'm so scared to delete something

even a screenshot on my iphone

I'm always thinking "one day I'll need this"

but it's expensive to think this way, because 100€ every month

so knowing that I earn 0€ a month from Youtube,

it's not really profitable aha, I also

have some usb keys 32GB each

I use them when I want to transfer files real quick

or to give a video to someone. anyway

so now let's talk carriage and cleaning!

for the cleaning I've only one cleaning lens pen

with one side to clean from dust

and the other side cleans the lens from real mark from water / fingers etc

it costs 90$ here, so less than 3€

and I'm using it since 3 months

now

so it's very great for the price

and I also have a screwdriver

I don't know the price since it's a gift from a purchase

it allows me to tighten every screw on my gear

even Manon's glasses aha

so it's very useful, really tiny

and it's a pen shape so no problem at the airport security

so now let's talk bag!!!! How to carry all the gear

I have the best bag ever

it's the thule covert dslr backpack

and this is the perfect bag

thanks Manon for this wonderful gift!

what's convenient with this bag

it's the back pocket for the laptop

and it's padded everywhere

so no back pain

and the shape stays the same

either it's full or empty, so nothing can damage anything

it's like a furniture with drawers aha

you can't put more than the space it has (not flexible at all)

and if it's empty, it's taking the same space as when it's full

the second advantage is that you can remove a little camera bag

I was swared for a minute aha

here it's the camera pocket

so I put here all the camera and hard drive etc

and if you want to take only this part of the bag

you can

so you can take only this part for a walk if you want!!

it's waterproof

and inside there's some stuff to keep your stuff organised

so I can put inside a camera, a tripod,

a lens and a microphone + the hard drives

so I'm always prepared aha

for me this bag is perfect

and I think it's very important to have a great camera backpack

because this is what keeps your gear in good state!

all my gear is "like new", except the gopro, but it's an action cam, nothing to do with the bag

I care a lot about my gear!

so now let's talk accessories!

in addition to the tripod I'm using right now for this video,

I have 3 kind of tripod

this one is a gorillapod

very usefull to attach your camera to trees etc for example!

this is usefull but your camera must be lightweight I think

and it's annoying to always have to put it back straight

then, a basic selfie stick!

this is what I use with the gopro

when I vlog with the gopro and even for sports video

i bought it in Taiwan, don't know the brand

It costs around 6€

and this one

is for the big lumix G7

I chose this one because I know it's not going to broke and then broke my big camera !

there is a ball head so it's very convenient!

you can adjust your shot real quick

and finally, this allows me to use it as a tripod!

this one is my favorite

but it's heavy!

it's about 2 third of the camera weight!

so at the end of the day, you're fit!! aha

now let's talk mobile accessories!

I talked about the GoPro, and the Lumix G7

but not about the iPhone! so with my iPhone I vlog often!

even more now that I have the iPhone 7+

this one is the 6s+

the 7 is great for image stabilization

it's so convenient to just use your phone rather than taking a big camera sometimes!

so the accessories!

this little thing is always is my wallet!

it's a phone stand

it allows me to take timelapses real quick

or talk to it

it's really convenient, and I bought it for 0.5€ aha

this thing allows me

to plug my iPhone

to every accessories for my mirrorless camera

to use the big tripod for example!

and finally, the waterproof housing!

it's convenient!

and you can have great video with it when you're paddling for example

and you can put it in your pocket, no need of all the other accessories

so tiny

about the gopro accessories!

I got the clip

to attach it to my bag

you can also handle the gopro with the clip accessory, really convenient!

it's really tight!

I also have a suction thing to attach the gopro to any window!

in your car or to have great light when you're talking to it

I put it on a window

and I talk to the camera, no handshake, and great light

it's great quality, the gopro risks nothing aha it won't fall

i bought it for 2€

Now I'm going to show you the vlogging case for the gopro!

the basic one!

useless for vlogging

I only use it for sport video etc

so when I want to vlog with the gopro, I use this case

it's really convenient

because you can attach a microphone on the top!

it's a hot shoe mount, same as on any dslr!

so I show you

so now you have a gopro

with a microphone attached to it!

this is a uv filer

and on the side it's open, to be able to plug

the microphone adapter

this is how it looks when you vlog with the gopro!

I bought this case on ebay for 20/30€

A few accessories left !

this one is useful to stay organised with all the

tiny pieces than you have when you own a gopro!

there is the gopro, there the memory cards

etc

this is the grip I use when I'm kitesurfing!

because it floats

and the color is good to see it in the water

this one is useful when you want to film in POV mode and have your hands free!

for example when you walk, bycicle, etc

this one is the most famous!!! the head strap aha

like a speleologue!

so now let's talk battery!

i'm so concerned about not having any battery left when I'm outside recording a video!

so for the gopro I have

3 batteries

and one charger (double battery charger)

because it's too time consuming to charge

them one by one inside the gopro!

same thing for the lumix g7!

one charger!

so usually I use one battery per day and I have one more just in case!

and if I'm going on an adventure for a few days, I take everything

and I save a little bit

by filming landscapes with my iPhone

to be sure to have battery left with my big camera for the evening etc (low light)

so batteries are very important!

especially knowing that it's cheap! and it saves a lot of time / life :p

so I always carry one in my bag!

so if I forget to put one in my camera, I'm not done :p

story time! We were in Thailand, reaching Koh Phi Phi islands

there were two french people with us in the baot

and when we arrived at the island

I was already filming

and then we hear "DAMN IT"

the french guy forgot his battery, so no memories of Koh Phi Phi islands!

so since this event, I have 09537 batteries on me aha

I hope I didn't forget too many things!

I really enjoyed doing this video

I hope you enjoyed this episode!

MAKING OF // NOVO PALÁCIO DO NICOLAU - Duration: 11:13.

The Video Mapping shows in Terreiro do Paço, both Caras de Lisboa and Palácio do Nicolau.

came upon a request issued by Lisbon's Tourism Association to several companies.

The invitation was made to companies working on the production of multimedia shows

We were invited by "Bridge" an event production company to develop a joint proposal for them

All the logistic and operational matters were carried out by Bridge

so we could focus solely on the creative part.

We've developed creatively both the Summer and the Winter shows.

At the beginning so we could start working all the assets

it was essential for us to have a realistic 3D model of

of the entire facade we were working on, in this case the Terreiro do Paço facade.

We've made a technical visit to the spot, took up some measurements and a

series of photographs of the building And through these we were able to

make a realistic 3D model. That helped us a lot in many ways,

make a realistic 3D model. That helped us a lot in many ways,

in the content creation process, having the 3d facade let us

model it and shape it with the Video Mapping effects

effects while at the same time it was also useful in a more technical way

allowing us to calculate the projectors settings,

getting to know the distances we needed to use them

what kind of lenses to use, and what problems could arise

with shadows and other elements of the facade that could not have light on them,

this model enabled us to have a some kind of preview of all these possible problems.

"Once, the village of Honori lived of the Bamboo plantations

but with the increasing rising of the river waters

the families that were left homeless and had their lands

flooded were forced to leave..."

One of the topics that initially came up in conversation with our partners was

about 2016 being the year for global understanding.

This was one of the premises that led us to arrive at this story.

With this global understanding, a global balance, we've reconstructed Nicolau's Palace

so that Christmas could happen again.

Then we figured that for this story, and because it had a very strong narrative,

so that people would not lose it's thread , we thought it was essential for us to include a narrator.

So this brought us some challenge on how should we present this,

the narrated text, in which timing, how would this play with the soundtrack

and the visual effects of witch the show lives off.

But the Earth was not yet saved. Honori still has a long way to run

before convincing Man to live happy and in peace with Nature.

Why was this melody made?

Basically, first it was based on the nostalgic part of:

What is Christmas?

This music box type of sound... There's a lot of that feeling

of gift giving and music boxes, and music boxes, and then the 3 by 4,

because it has a lot of that nostalgic feeling to it.

So it came more or less to something like this:

Okay, so basically this motive repeats itself

along with the rest of the orchestra.

"Nicolau who is a man full of knowlege,

very travelled and is friends with all beings,

decided to go to his library to investigate

I've decided to make a lot of the sound effects with music,

with the musical instruments.

So one thing that was distinctive here

was the fact that many instruments,

they try to make sound effects themselves

that's why sometimes we hear a crash cymbal...

Musically speaking it's a little strange but then adding the picture it makes sense,

It's when he makes the gesture to get a big book to open, then we hear

the flutes making a "brrrr" sound and the cymbal crash at the same time.

If you just listen to the music alone it would't make a lot of sense

but the music here is taking the role of the sound effects.

We did in chroma the taping of several characters.

From the kid , who is the main character, to Nicolau' and the Ice Queen.

We did these 3 characters on that type of recording,

which is always a little hard because the actors

are not used to pretend to deal with a digital setting,

so there had to be a great part of directing from us,

we had to tell them what was there in digital form

so that the actors could react accordingly...

It's essential to have a very precise schematic

for each plan we were going to film

hence the storyboard has to be very well defined

before you can go onto this kind of recordings.

At the end of chapter two there was a moment

where we were transitioning from an ethereal scene,

nature, weather and all of that..

so I did something quite predictable: the harp, the flute and the celesta.

The celesta is this instrument right here...

and then come in the tremolo on the violins

that drag the pollution into the scene.

This project ends up mixing two techniques.

Real image, like we have on the characters recorded in

studio in greenscreen with 3D effects and 3D animation,

in fact one of the main characters Watumi

is a whale that was developed entirely by João

whom also animated it, that is, he built the whale,

modeled it , rigged it and animated it for each scene.

The final compositing is also a meticulous process,

that is, the composer receives all this information,

all the renderings be it the chormas,

real footage or the cinema 4D renderings

and then he has to put it all together

and create a coherence. Almost like an editor.

This time we did not limit ourselves to the studio,

we also went to a very specific place because we had the tsunami scene..

He dove into the water and then there was a

whirlpool inside the tsunami.

We found a swimming pool with the ideal features for what we wanted to do.

Obviously we had to prepare beforehand very well all the scenes

we wanted to do and that´s how we managed to transform "Terreiro do Paço"

into an ocean with a tsunami and a character swimming on it.

That was our first time and I think it went as well as we wanted it to.

For 10 days we had 3 daily sessions.

There were thousands of people there

and it had a very positive impact on the studio

both at a national level as well as for the international visibility that it gave us,

and the final outcome was very positive.

All its left is for me to thank all of those involved on this project

who were quite a few people that made this possible...

and cut.

Stock exchange, how to trade: "Breakout" Trade anywhere by Do_Trading - Duration: 10:57.

Hello friends,

Welcome to my Do Trading channel for a new video.

I made a small video to test the TT platform on a Netbook.

This is a short-term alternative.

And we are in a simulation trading.

On the other hand, whether in reality or in simulation, the technique remains the same.

The trade in question takes place on the future contract ZB,

the US rate at 30 years.

The execution is done on a pullback,

with a controlled risk of 2 to 3 ticks.

So the price has come back on a potential level,

for a long.

I therefore take 1 position to long, with a limit order

I am positioned waiting for execution.

Now in position,

I see that the conditions for my trade are still present,

pressure to bid,

aggressive buyers.

Comes a small sales hand,

who immediately shifts prices to my disadvantage.

I watch the notebook to assess the risk of a bad trade.

I recall that here the risk is 3 ticks.

And I would go out

if the price goes beyond that.

The level is well defended

My trade is not in danger

The sellers fail to take the hand,

with a buyers control.

We see that the sellers are trying new ones to take the hand

but without result.

The 01 02 level is still well defended

And then it will be with aggressive buyers.

On the chart,

You will better realize and thus be able to visualize the level that is targeted,

It is a simple chart in 60 min and in candles.

Nothing more.

Where I will draw two levels, a support and a resistance.

Remember that we are on a Netbook,

And we see a little difficulty in selecting the tools.

And to use them

This is mainly due to the low power of the Equipment.

But nothing very dramatic.

Which I recall I do trade on a Netbook

but this can be a short-term troubleshooting solution

My goal was to test the platform on this equipement.

And I'm pretty happy with the result

Now we have our level of support,

Now we have our level of resistance,

These levels are mostly for a whole view.

There we have the breakout point ,

surrounded in red.

So yes I was saying, these levels are for an overview

but I will not necessarily go in and out on these levels.

These are Tools.

For the small aside,

this platform can virtualy trade anywhere.

For the web version,

there is no installation

What remains an undeniable advantage to me.

And for those who ask the question,

I do not touch anything from Trading Technologies

and I do not advertise

Simply that I appreciate their products and work with this platform

Hence this little video.

We see that the price has come tested the level,

buyers are always aggressive.

New test.

Breakout...

upward acceleration.

And as this is simulation,

I do not stay waiting for the objective.

My first goal was to test the platform on a Netbook

And I took the opportunity to make this little video

So I recall, we started from a pullback execution

in order to breakout.

It is a strategy that I often use,

but which must be initiated in well-defined conditions.

If you like this video, do not hesitate to share, comment, like

I'm coming soon

Bye
