Waching daily May 31 2017

Hi everyone, it's Saturax

today we are testing titanium picks from Riki le Plectrier

The two titanium plectrums I show you in this video

are a Rogers custom "Saturax" with my logo on the top portion

and a gear composition on the bottom portion

On the other hand we have a pick from the special series "Chic Steampunk"

that have both scallop edges

and again a gear composition made over a black background and a golden sparkle

Titanium has great properties compared to other metals

it's both a very lightweight metal and an extremely wear resistant material

the timber has a great depth, and on the other hand

the attack boosts high frequencies on electric guitar but doesn't feel too screamy

The pick doesn't fall of the hand because of the grip engraved at the back

now featuring on every titanium model. This one is an exception but I can still hold it without any problem

because we have a good adhesion between resin and flesh

even without engraving the resin is efficient

On both models the tip is rounded, that gives a nice seeping sensation

but even on pointy models like Charly, Loren or Jazz XL we keep this sweeping sensation

even if the pointy end give pore precision and attack

Titanuim is by baf my favorite material. It helps giving my melodies more soul

and brings a pelette of frequencies and a spectrum I find very inspiring

It's also easier to play on dynamics thanks to the metal

and also the angles of attacks that are rather round

Rogers is even rounder than the Chic, shaped more raw on the sides

There is a large choice between the models. Among the smaller ones, we have :

and among bigger plectrums we have :

The pick is a little bit heavier than those in woods, acrylic or polymers

but very lightweight compared to other metals

it's a good compromise if we want to bring more high frequencies without adding too much weight

There it is, I hope you enjoyed this video on titanium picks

as always you can find a more advanced test on my personal website

and of course order the picks from Riki's store, all the links are in the video description.

Don't forget to leave a thumb up and subscribe if it's not done yet

and tell me in the comments what you thought about those picks

I also invite you to check out my other tests about Riki's picks

I tried different materials, several woods, Acryswirl...

See you next time for an other test, rock on!
