Well, thats it. Now, about POCKET FIGHTER!

Pocket Fighter or Super Gem Mini Fighter is a game released by Capcom in 1997

It was released for Sega Saturn

Playstation (or Psone)

It got a Playstation 2 version, later.

Obviously, it has a original version released on arcades.

The Sega Saturn version i played here in the Hadougame Channel, and the link is here about, if you wanna see.

What a Heck is Pocket Fighter?!

It was a new proposal of Capcom

to bring up a comical stuff to street fighter universe

How they do that? They uses a draw style called S.D.

Maybe you know that. It means Super Deformer

S.D. is like a japanese caricature. Is a comical japanese draw

in wich the body proportions

are modified. The head is bigger than the other parts of the body or the opposite

depends on your point of view

The S.D style Street Fighter character wasn't a fresh news in POCKET FIGHTER.

It was used in the previous year (1996) in the game

Puzzle Fighter released by Capcom.

It was other type of game.

That remember Tetris in wich the GEMs has been droped

Meanwhile the characters hit the opponent's

if one or other complete the gem blocks. I recommend to play

it is very enjoyable for those who like the puzzle games.

Pocket Fighter was staffed by characters from DarkStalkers, Street Fighter Zero

Street Fighter Turbo and also

from other Capcom Success

with less glamour, called Red Earth

Like others Street Fighters Zero games, each fighter follow it owns Story Sequence.

Therefore it owns sequence of oponents to defeat.

All of them has a final challenge with a diferent character.

Each one has them Last Boss

The great inovation in the Pocket Fighter gameplay

Is the possibility to get Power Ups while the fight is going

The player get the GEMs Power Ups

Maybe that was the reason to call the game as GEM FIGHTER

There is GEMs to improve the Punch Skills

There is GEMs to improve the Kick Skills

And there is GEMs to improve the SPECIAL SKILLS

There is other power ups like FOOD to recover the fighter energy during the match.

It means that you can recover the energy diring the fight.

Pocket Fighter has a very funny sequence of combos

in wich the characters perform transformations in other things.

and other fellows of Capcom Universe

The game has a playability

simplified. Instead of the 3 punchs

and 3 kicksit counts with one punch button

one kick button and one special button.

It simplify a lot the way that you learn how to play the game.

So, if you like this type of game

A well humored Fighting game

and wanna get a free laughs. I recommend this one.

It looks like a childish game

but it wasn't. It is very funny
