SFSS shuts down Highland Pub, the Ladle for summer
The Simon Fraser Student Society abruptly closed the Highland Pub and The Ladle before
the start of the summer semester with little warning to students.
All SFSS food and beverage services were slated to be closed permanently on June 15, but SFSS
president Hangue Kim told The Peak that the pub and kitchen were closed for summer as
part of usual operations.
No special announcement was made because the pub also closed for the summer around the
same time last year.

SFU will be closing the main Tim Hortons restaurant in a year if the company does not agree to
provide fair trade options to students.

The group plans to launch an appeal in the coming weeks.
