Song Ji Hyo Wins Awards At DramaFever Ceremony 2015

Song Ji Hyo won not one but two awards at the third annual DramaFever Awards ceremony in New York City.

She won a Best Actress Award for her role as the divorcee doctor in the romantic comedy "Emergency Couple" and also accepted a Boldest Moment Award for the drama.

It was a great night for tvN's "Emergency Couple," which also received an award for Best Korean Drama. The drama starred Choi Jin Hyuk as her Songs ex and fellow doctor, as well as Clara and Lee Pil Mo.

Song Ji Hyo did not attend the ceremony, which was held at the Hudson Theater. But she did acknowledge her award through a video acceptance speech.

In the video she apologized for not being present to receive her award, due to scheduling conflicts, and promised that if she won an award next year she would definitely attend.

"'Emergency Couple' is a drama I have a lot of sympathy for," she said in her video acceptance speech. "To have received two awards, one of them for myself. I consider it such an honor to have received more than one award.".

Song Ji Hyo is also well loved for her continuing participation in the SBS variety show "Running Man." The variety show also did well at the awards ceremony, winning the Best Variety Show award for the second year in a row.

Song Ji Hyo's "Running Man" co-star Kim Jong Kook did attend the New York City ceremony. And last year, another "Running Man" co-star Gary Kang participated. Another drama that did well that evening was "It's Okay, That's Love.

Jo In Sung, Song Ji Hyo's co-star in the film "Frozen Flower," won the Best Actor Award for his role in "It's Okay, That's Love." Jo and Gong Hyo Jin won the Best Kiss Award.

Both stars thanked audiences with a video acceptance speech. DramaFever, which hosted the awards ceremony, is an online drama-streaming site. The content provider has more than 20 million visitors a month from North and South America.

Fans had the chance to vote in 13 different categories, including Best Actor, Best Bromance, Best Kiss, and Fan Favorite. Over 1.5 million viewers voted in the award categories.

Those who attended the ceremony also got to see previews of the upcoming drama "Blood," as well as the films "Gangnam Blues," starring Lee Min Ho, and "The Technicians," starring Kim Woo Bin.
