But Castles thinks that the only reinforcements Liverpool will be after are squad players

Castles told the Transfer Window podcast: "I was looking at Liverpool's squad at this window and thinking, 'where would they want to reinforce?' "And I actually don't think there is a buy for them to make in this January window

"I think the first team is operating so well and is so strong they're better off standing where they are

"The only real thing they're looking for is back-up which is an incredible place for them to be compared to where Liverpool were just two or three seasons ago

"  However, the Reds could allow some of their players to leave on loan. Crystal Palace are keen on a January loan move for Dominic Solanke as manager Roy Hodgson looks to boost his attacking options

Palace can offer England Under-21 star Solanke the promise of first-team football - something he is not getting at Anfield

Liverpool are back in action on January 3 against Manchester City in the Premier League
