Calum Hudson-Odoi is one of the brightest prospects to emerge from the Chelsea academy in recent years and has been tipped for big things
But his first-team opportunities have been limited, first under Antonio Conte and then with Maurizio Sarri in charge this season
Hudson-Odoi's cameo as Chelsea beat Watford on Boxing Day was his first Premier League appearance of the campaign
And reports indicate Bayern are sniffing around him ahead of the oncoming January transfer window
According to the Daily Mail, Bayern are set to slap in an offer of £13m for Hudson-Odoi next week
And they are hoping to entice him into following the likes of Jadon Sancho and Reiss Nelson to Germany
Sancho and Nelson have thrived at Borussia Dortmund and Hoffenheim respectively this season
And Callum Hudson-Odoi is said to be keeping his options open with regards to his own future
Dortmund are in the mix as well having seen Sancho blossom since joining them from Manchester City
And while Hudson-Odoi knows Chelsea rate him highly, the prospect of more game time may be too good to turn down
Chelsea, also mindful of the 18-year-old's status as a homegrown talent, will apparently make a demand to Bayern Munich, or Dortmund, if they sell him
And that entails wanting a buy-back clause to be written into the deal which would allow them to purchase him for a set fee
As speculation swirls over his future, Hudson-Odoi is facing a battle to be fit in time to take on Crystal Palace on Sunday
Sarri has confirmed the winger and team-mate Pedro are nursing hamstring problems ahead of the trip to Selhurst Park
We have two problems, the first is more serious with Pedro," Sarri said on Friday
He has an injury in his hamstring and I think that he will have to rest for about 10 days
The second problem is Odoi, it's not very serious but I don't know if he will be able to play in the next match
