Liverpool transfer news: Nabil Fekir demands IMMINENT Anfield move during Lyon talks

Liverpool are eager to complete a deal for France international Fekir before the World Cup gets underway on June 14.

But, according to the Daily Mirror, Aulas is holding out because he thinks the forward's value will rise if he performs well in Russia.

Reports in France suggest that Liverpool have opened the bidding but it is understood an offer is yet to be tabled.

Jurgen Klopp is eager to quickly piece together his squad ahead of next season.

A £52.75m deal has already been agreed for RB Leipzig midfielder Naby Keita while utility man Fabinho was captured from Monaco for around £44m earlier this week.

A swoop for Fekir would take their summer spending rocketing towards the £150m barrier.

Aulas recently warned Liverpool that Lyon will not sell Fekir on the cheap this summer.

He said: "There has been no contact at all with Liverpool, nor with any other club.

I havent talked about his future with him at all.

"Nabil also really wants to stay after qualifying [for the Champions League.

Were going to talk it through calmly.

"For the moment, nothing has been decided.

Youll have to be very rich to recruit Nabil Fekir this year."  .

Fekir heads to the World Cup on the back of a brilliant season for Lyon, scoring 23 goals in 40 appearances.

Fabinho talked up Liverpool's potential move for the Lyon ace, describing him as a "very good player".

But Fekir played down his comments, and said: "If Fabinho is to be my future team-mate? I will discuss my future after the World Cup not before.

"If I will sign somewhere before the World Cup? Honestly, I dont know.".

Liverpool news: Mohamed Salah criticised for shoulder injury suffered against Real Madrid

That's according to former Aston Villa striker Dion Dublin.

The Egyptian was forced off during the first half of last weekend's Champions League final defeat to Real Madrid.

Salah left the pitch in tears with a suspected dislocated shoulder following a challenge from Sergio Ramos.

Initial fears suggested the 25-year-old could miss this summer's World Cup but it is likely he'll recover in time for the tournament in Russia.

There have been suggestions that Ramos injured Salah on purpose after the defender appeared to lock his opponent's arm before falling on him awkwardly.

"I don't know why anybody would think that you can do that on purpose." BBC 5 Live pundit Dion Dublin But Dublin has dismissed the suggestions, insisting it was a freak incident that Salah could have avoided.

I don't know how and I don't know why anybody would think that you can do that on purpose, that specific injury on purpose to a fellow person, not so much a footballer, he told BBC 5 Live.

A footballer should be able to fall in a certain way because he knows his body better than maybe somebody that's not a footballer..

Dublin was discussing Salah's injury alongside former Chelsea winger Pat Nevin, who agreed with his colleague.

He added: You've fallen like that a million times, Dion, haven't you?.

Man Utd News: Ronaldo 'to join', Chelsea send Martial message, Lukaku hits out at Mourinho

Cristiano Ronaldo expects to leave Real Madrid for Manchester United this summer after PSG dropped out of the race, according to reports.

The Portuguese hinted at a Bernabeu exit following last weekend's Champions League final as he said: "It's been great being at Real Madrid." The revelation sparked speculation surrounding his future, with suggestions that former club United and PSG are set to battle for his signature.

And according to Don Balon, a return to Old Trafford is likely, with PSG unable to fund the move due to Financial Fair Play regulations.

"Me and the manager have a perfect relationship." Man Utd star Romelu Lukaku Chelsea chiefs have reportedly told Anthony Martial's representatives that their managerial problems will be solved by the beginning of June.

The Blues have been linked with a move for the Manchester United star, who has struggled for regular game time under Jose Mourinho this season.

Antonio Conte is expected to leave Stamford Bridge this summer, with former Napoli boss Maurizio Sarri the favourite to replace the Italian.

And the Daily Mail claim that Martial has been given reassurances that the situation will be resolved ahead of a potential transfer.

Romelu Lukaku has denied Jose Mourinho's claim that he didn't fancy playing in the FA Cup final.

But despite contradicting his club boss Lukaku insists there is no rift with Mourinho.

"Everybody is now thinking me and the manager have a big issue or something but it's not like that," he said.

"Me and the manager have a perfect relationship.

"So we had a little chat after the game and everything is all clear.

"We had a conversation after the game where we were both disappointed that we lost the game and I said to him I'm looking forward to next season to see the team he is going to prepare to hopefully challenge Manchester City.".

Stephan Lichtsteiner 'agrees contract' to become Gunners player ● News Now ● #AFC - Duration: 2:35.

Arsenal are set to announce the signing of Juventus defender Stephan Lichtsteiner on

a free transfer.

Lichtsteiner, out of contract at the end of the season, has been in negotiations with

Arsenal over a Bosman move.

According to La Gazette dello Sport, the 34-year-old right-back has now struck an agreement on

a one-year contract.

But the Italian publication report that he is yet to put pen to paper on the paperwork.

Lichtsteiner is set to become the first signing of the Unai Emery era at the Emirates Stadium.

The Switzerland international will compete with Hector Bellerin for a spot in the team.

He leaves Juventus after seven seasons and 259 appearances for the club.

Lichtsteiner will bring experience of winning major honours to Arsenal, having bagged seven

Serie A titles during his time with the Old Lady.

Arsenal are also reportedly closing in on a £16m deal for 29-year-old Borussia Dortmund

centre-back Sokratis Papastathopoulos.

And former Gunner Kevin Campbell believes Lichtsteiner and Papastathopoulos will prove

to be shrewd additions.

"They need experience and toughness," he said.

"Because that is everything that Arsenal have lacked.

"That experience and that toughness and being able to go away and grind out a victory

at one of your rivals, Arsenal haven't done that in years.

"So that type of experience and knowledge is key."

Former Venezuela international and ESPN pundit Alejandro Moreno is not convinced by the move

for Lichtsteiner.

"I just don't see what you gain in having Lichtsteiner," he said.

"He's a guy who's getting up there in age.

"He might be trying to get out of Juventus simply because he's not getting the playing

time that he would want at Juventus.

"Limited time at Juventus, getting older, I don't feel that Arsenal really gains much

from getting Lichtsteiner."
