BREAKING NOW: Roseanne Just Hit With Sudden Life-Altering News, This Is Devastating.
Roseanne Barr has come out as a huge star for the second time in her television career
with a second, reinvented run of her sitcom "Roseanne."
Having become hugely popular again at her age and after so many years of being off the
air, is a major accomplishment attributed to her unapologetic political views and support
of President Donald Trump.
Now, that's all come crashing down for an absolutely infuriating reason.
Speaking your mind even when it might offend people is a "right" only granted to leftists.
Comedians like Michelle Wolf can verbally rip apart White House Press Secretary Sarah
Huckabee Sanders in the most depraved, and personal way.
Wolf has received no recourse for her harsh insults, in fact, she was celebrated for saying
it.
However, when Roseanne spoke her mind on Twitter about Valerie Jarrett, she received immediate
and devastating news she didn't deserve.
Deadline reports:
ABC announced it has canceled Roseanne Barr's hit comedy series revival following a morning
in, which the star launched a tirade of racist and anti-semitic tweets.
"Roseanne's Twitter statement is abhorrent, repugnant and inconsistent with our values,
and we have decided to cancel her show," ABC Entertainment chief Channing Dungey announced.
It was a day no one could have anticipated except anyone who has been online in the past
decade.
Her sitcom the big story of the 2017 to 2018 TV season, had been picked up for a second
season after only one episode, which clocked industry high numbers for the season.
ABC's announcement came hours after Roseanne announced she was "leaving" Twitter – again
– after apologizing for calling former President Barack Obama adviser Valerie Jarrett an offspring
of the "Muslim Brotherhood & Planet of the Apes."
In what appeared to be an ABC-ordered statement, Barr apologized, then vowed to leave Twitter
– then came back to Twitter about 5 minutes later, to expand on her apology.
"I apologize to Valerie Jarrett and to all Americans," Barr tweeted.
"I am truly sorry for making a bad joke about her politics and her looks.
I should have known better.
Forgive me-my joke was in bad taste."
She has not tweeted anything since.
Jarrett has not responded, which CNN calls "taking the high road" but we call it
a likely decision to hold off, having, in one of those incredible coincidences, previously
been booked to appear tonight in an MSNBC town hall about racism in America – ratings
on which are now likely to be much higher:
In her initial tweet about Jarrett, she referred to her as "Muslim brotherhood & planet of
the apes had a baby=vj."
It was in response to a tweet referencing a Wikileaks claim that the CIA during Obama's
term in office spied on French presidential candidates.
Roseanne responded to the immediate blowback she received from her tweet pointing out that
it was "just a joke," which it was.
Liberal celebrities have also claimed that when they were hit with criticism from conservatives
for their vile remarks about the president and others in his administration.
The difference is in the punishment and the double standard runs really deep here.
Michelle Wolf still has her show and so does another disgustingly hateful comedienne Chelsea
Handler who has said some of the most perverse things imaginable about Sarah Sanders.
Yet, within the same day of Roseanne's remarks, her super successful, record-breaking show
is canceled.
No coincidence that Jarrett is appearing on liberal news network MSNBC's town hall about
racism tonight.
While MSNBC might have a slight ratings boost from one program tonight that Jarrett will
be on, ABC will have a massive decline in viewership without Roseanne's show and across
the board from her furious fans who aren't afraid to boycott.
