Packers Fans to Boycotters: 'We'll Take Those Season Tickets'

The Packers boast some of the most loyal fans in the NFL.

The NFL and politics are colliding, and it's not pretty.

It's even forcing some longtime NFL fans to step away from the game, citing a disrespect for the national anthem, military or both.

Before last week's game against the Bengals, three Packers knelt while the majority of the team locked arms.

During the week, the Packers dealt with feedback on both sides.

As the Green Bay Press-Gazette noted earlier this week, some Packers fans are not backing their team.

"I am so ashamed of and appalled by the ignorance of any NFL player who would dare disgrace our Stars and Stripes or the memory of hundreds of thousands of fallen U.S.

heroes who paid with their lives so that we may live free," said one Packers shareholder.

"It was and is a heartbreaker to see my beloved Packers involved in this protest.

I doubt injustice is going to be affected by this action.

It is style over substance," added another lifelong Packers fan.

On the other side, some fans are greedily waiting for others to jump ship.

As one fan noted earlier this year, the waiting list for Packers season tickets is incredible:.

According to the Packers website, the waiting list stands at over 81,000 names.

The average wait time for season tickets is 30 years.

As of yet, no season tickets have been returned.

Some fans will wait there entire lives and never even get close to the top of the waiting list for tickets.

So if this controversy can rile people enough to cancel, others are more than willing to provoke them:.

If you don't have tickets, you can always sell your Packers stock.

Hundreds of thousands of fans bought a "share" of the Packers for $250 in 2011, even though the shares hold little value.

2011 was the fifth time in team history a stock sale was held, and the latest round generated an estimated $67 million in revenue.

Selling your shares will be a nice political statement, but it won't net you any cash.

The shares are irrevocable, and can't be exchanged for money.

The Packers host the Bears on Thursday Night Football.

Will The Packers Kneel For The National Anthem?

Aaron Rodgers linked arms with his teammates on Sunday.

After the most politically charged weekend in NFL history, all eyes fall on Lambeau Field for Thursday Night Football.

Some fans may have already tuned out, but the Packers and Bears will continue to put on a display of unity before Thursday's kickoff.

The Packers released a statement earlier this week encouraging all fans at Lambeau Field to lock arms, forming one giant chain of unity around the stadium.

Here's an excerpt from the statement, released on Tuesday:.

This Thursday during the national anthem at Lambeau Field, Packers players, coaches and staff will join together with arms intertwined—connected like the threads on your favorite jersey.

When we take this action, what you will see will be so much more than just a bunch of football players locking arms.

The image you will see on September 28th will be one of unity.

It will represent a coming together of players who want the same things that all of us do—freedom, equality, tolerance, understanding, and justice for those who have been unjustly treated, discriminated against or otherwise treated unfairly.

You will see the sons of police officers, kids who grew up in military families, people who have themselves experienced injustice and discrimination firsthand, and an array of others all linking together in a display of unity.

Before their Week 3 game against the Bengals, three Packers players knelt while the majority of the rest of the team stood and linked arms for the anthem.

The three players to kneel were rookie corner Kevin King, and tight ends Martellus Bennett and Lance Kendricks.

Packers President Mark Murphy also issued a statement condemning President Trump's comments.

In the days that followed, the Packers have received backlash from fans.

Aaron Popkey, Packers director of public affairs, told media earlier this week that he's received a steady stream of feedback "on both sides of the matter.".

The Bears linked arms during the anthem last week, but it was their opponents that caused the controversy.

The Steelers elected to stay in the tunnel for the anthem, but the emergence of Alejandro Villanueva slightly in front of his team caused media chaos in the days that followed.

After months of speculation, and multiple statements insisting that no one has officially said anything, Kim Kardashian has confirmed that she and Kanye West will become parents for the third time.

Unless the words "We're having a baby" mean something completely different.

In a new teaser for Keeping Up With the Kardashians season 14, Kim can be seen FaceTiming with sis Khloé to tell her the good news.

"What happens every time I say, 'Guess what?' Kim asks. Khloé immediately knows what's up: "The person's pregnant?" Bingo.

In August, Kim told The Hollywood Reporter that she and Kanye were "definitely trying" to expand their family, but offered nothing specific.

"There have been a lot of things said and Kanye and I have not confirmed anything."

One month later, TMZ and People reported that Kim and Kanye's surrogate was pregnant with the couple's third child - a girl - and that the baby was due in January.

The KUWTK teaser, which also includes clips of Khloé's 33rd birthday party, Kris Jenner talking about Rob and Chyna, and the continued tension between Scott and Kourtney, was released on Thursday via E! and comes nearly one week after it was reported that Kylie Jenner is expecting her first child with boyfriend Travis Scott.

Four days later, multiple outlets reported that Khloé was also with child with boyfriend Tristan Thompson, which means grandmomager Kris will be doting on at least three new grandchildren in 2018.

If you're keeping count, Kim's baby news is the only one of the three that's been confirmed so far.

Fingers crossed the other two pregnancies are 100 percent true and that you will get to see the family confirm them on season 14 of Keeping Up With the Kardashians, which returns this Sunday on E!

NEO Shakes Off Bad News, Surges 20 Percent

NEO, often termed the 'Chinese Ethereum' took a major price tumble when the announcements regarding Chinese exchanges were made public last week.

The price dropped to a low of $13.29 per coin, a massive drop from its peak of $48 exactly 30 days earlier.

The price drop was linked directly to the Chinese announcement since NEO is a generally Chinese coin, with most of the trading volume being on Bittrex (45%) and only Bitfinex as a secondary exchange. Down but not out.

With the ban on exchanges, and the generally anti-cryptocurrency sentiment in China, some thought NEO would simply cease to exist. However, just a week after having to repay some of its initial investors, the altcoin has regained much of what it lost.

On relatively stable trading volume, NEO rose to over $26 per coin, a full 100% increase over its lows, and a substantial 20% from yesterday's price.

As previously reported by Cointelegraph, NEO may well be positioned to be the best cryptocurrency and app platform within China. Sometimes removing all the competition makes it easy to succeed.
