Hello Indie Game Lovers, Nerds and Nerdettes my name is Feniks and this is the Indie Game

News.

Today we look at Tycoon genre.

Please take your time and stay focused for next few minutes as always you can find all

the relevant links in the video description.

As always we are going to start with updates of already existing games.

Production Line Version 1.31 and soon after version 1.32 have been released this past

month.

Version 1.31 is one of the biggest updates to the game since it's initial release on

steam on 18th of May 2017.

We will see several bug fixes, big improvement to Graphical interface making game more intuitive.

GUI now shows you when production line is too expansive to place, unlockable zones are

now easier to read, we will see pop ups for research and bankruptcy improvement as well

as some performance tweaks to the game itself.

Production line introduces new features to the game with the most prominent one being

car design facility that unlocks whole new separate tech tree with car body styles that

is parallel with your regular research.

Version 1.32 introduces more bug fixes, balancing and tutorial improvement for new players.

Software inc Alpha 9 if finally out of a test branch, as with each new alpha we will see

some big changes to the game.

Software development has been completely overhauled to focus more on risk management and marketing

planning than watching progress bars fill up.

That means Software quality evaluation is now more complex, amount of work done and

the quality of that work is calculated separately.

In addition players will no longer know amount of bugs in their software adding more variety

to support tasks

Project management have also seem complete overhaul.

There is now a clear divide between digital and physical distribution, and the market

changes as the years go on.

The player has to pay for physical copies of their products upfront to be sold or produce

and deliver copies themselves using printers and couriers.

Finally The player can make other companies subsidiaries when taking them over to keep

them in the game and control their funding.

Finally as always many bug fixes, small changes, improvements and tweaks.

Software Inc is start up software company tycoon in which players job is to rise to

the top of and dominate ever changing market.

Game has been in early access since May 2015 and receives regular updates currently sitting

on very respectable 92% positive review score on steam.

Academia School Symulator released on steam on 8th of September this year.

Academia is a management game that lets you design, construct, and manage the high school

of your dreams!

As the school Principal, you watch your students as they get bullied, find love, flunk exams,

and basically just try to get through the roller-coaster ride that is high school.

Some of the game features are

Complex Students : Student motivation is driven by various needs, including hygiene, hunger,

and discipline, and they'll become even more complex as time goes on.

Varied Faculty : Teachers are complex as well, with different skillsets, teaching styles

and motivations.

Game allows you to make big financial decisions like building new facilities, expanding your

school and managing your teacher to student ratio.

Additionally you can get into nitty gritty details of small but not unimportant decisions

like coffee is available in canteens and how varied is diet of your students.

Epic Tavern Released on steam early access on 13th of September 2017.

Game has been previously funded by kickstarer in which they raised nearly $70 000.

Epic Tavern is a fantasy-management-RPG where you rule the land from your Tavern.

Recruit heroes, send them on quests, and reap the rewards!

Build a legendary Tavern to attract Heroes from every corner of a dangerous and magical

world.

In Epic Tavern, every quest choice made and every adventurer befriended could unlock new

quests, new alliances, or access to characters, items, and tavern building opportunities.

The experience grows as you play - your choices will directly steer the fate of your intrepid

adventurers!

Your job will be to manage your heroes, level them up provide in equipment and choose the

quest wisely while dealing with inevitable failure of a group and after math of it at

some point.

Game so far received 77% positive review score on steam.

Airport CEO has definitely been my most anticipated indie game of this year.

Game released on 28th of September.

We have spoken about this game several times on the channel but here is quick reminder.

Airport CEO is a 2D Tycoon and management game in development for PC and Mac where you

take the seat as a CEO of your own airport.

You will build the airport's infrastructure with everything from runways and taxiways,

gates and tarmac to constructing terminals with check-in, security, restaurants and shopping.

You will manage the business perspective of the airport by hiring employees and executives,

making deals with airline companies and making sure that ends meet by keeping an eye on budget

and resources.

You will have to cater to the passengers by keeping waiting time to a minimum, by having

friendly and helpful staff around and by making passengers feel secure, keeping any potential

criminals at bay; a happy passenger is a shopping passenger.

You will deal with any problems that your airport will face such as employee or equipment

breakdowns, bad weather causing massive delays or emergency landings.

Game so far received positive 90% review score on steam from over 100 reviews submited.

Mashinky is set to release on 6th of October this year.

Mashinky is a transport strategy game about trains.

The goal is to create your own transport empire on a procedurally generated map.

It's a unique blend of realistic graphics combined with an isometric construction mode

and board game-like rules.

In the game you will build simple tracks connecting just two stations, or design sophisticated

networks using junctions and signals to maximize efficiency and performance.

As the game progresses, you'll need to extend and customize your transport empire.

You can upgrade industry buildings, stations and depots in various ways, and improve your

trains using new engines and special wagons.

Early Access release, will start with 2 eras out of 7.

Development progresses, we will see more eras added, you'll progress from the Age of Steam

through the modern world and into the future.

Finally with the innovative viewing modes, you can ride one of your trains or watch the

operation of the network you have built

Cities:Skyline 13th DLC the Green Cities has been announced for 19th of October 2017 The

expansion adds 350 new assets to the core game, adding a massive selection of new visual

options, complete with eco-friendly buildings, organic shops, electric vehicles, and new

services designed to make pollution a quaint notion of the past.

Players can create more diversified cities, or go completely green as the urban population

grows.

New in-game services and buildings arrive alongside revisions to noise and environmental

pollution

We will see new specialized options for all city zones, plus leveled-up specializations

for the first time in Cities: Skylines 3 new scenarios, 4 new policy options, and a new

Monument to make your friends Green with envy.

Cities: Skylines has been very inconsistent with quality of DLCs so I would suggest waiting

couple of days for reviews before you jump on this release
