F1 News: Lewis Hamilton struggles in Malaysia and boosts Sebastian Vettel's hopes

Lewis Hamilton was off the pace in Malaysia. And Hamilton, who is 28 points ahead of Vettel, admits he fears the worst heading into tomorrow's race. The Brit was a massive 1.416 seconds down and was sixth fastest in both practice sessions.

Hamilton explained: "It was a difficult day with the car. Definitely unusual, unexpected and we are a long way off.

"I've been struggling with the car so we have to review and try to understand where we have gone wrong with the balance.

"We're hoping that we're able to find our bearings overnight and regroup." Vettel headed team-mate Kimi Raikkonen with Red Bull duo Daniel Ricciardo and Max Verstappen third and fourth on a frustrating day for Hamilton.

The morning session was delayed by 30 minutes due to a tropical downpour that lashed the track minutes before its scheduled start.

And Romain Grosjean's heavy crash in the afternoon brought out the red flags with 22 minutes of the session left. It hindered Hamilton and Mercedes' chances to work out just what was wrong.

Worryingly, the car was struggling on both short runs with low fuel and longer runs with high fuel. A lack of grip, which saw Hamilton also have a spin and slide off at Turn Seven, only added to his woes.

Mercedes chief Toto Wolff followed Hamilton in voicing his frustration, with Valtteri Bottas also struggling, and said: "The lap time is reality and showed we are not quick enough. "The car seems to be unbalanced and that triggers consequences.

There is a fundamental issue in the car that we need to find out.

It is one of the worst Friday's I can remember." It was a different story for Ferrari and Vettel, who recorded the fastest ever lap around the 5.5-kilometre Sepang track.

Vettel said: "We have a good car and it's up to us to make it work in all conditions.".

Manchester United news: Romelu Lukaku is a beast and Anthony Martial is terrifying - Duration: 2:03.

Manchester United news: Romelu Lukaku is a beast and Anthony Martial is terrifying

The 31-year-old has been ensuring United dont leak goals at the back, while his attacking team-mates have been ruthless at the other end of the pitch.

Jose Mourinhos men put on another classy display as they made light work of CSKA Moscow in the Champions League earlier this week.

Lukaku and Martial both netted in Russia, and Smalling believes the pair are giving their opponents nightmares.

He's just a beast," Smalling said of Lukaku on MUTV.

"You can play it into him and he can hold it up, people can run off him, and he's just a nightmare to play against.

"Right from pre-season, Anthony's been leading the way in training," he added.

"He's terrifying one-v-one, as we've seen, I'm glad he's on my team.

The Red Devils take on Crystal Palace today, as they look to pile more misery on Roy Hodgsons struggling side.

And Smalling says United are heading into the clash on the back of their best performance of the season.

"I think that's as dominant as we have been," Smalling told BT Sport after the CSKA clash.

"Scoring those goals in the first half, it was probably the best first half we have played all season.

United currently sit level on points with rivals Manchester City at the top of the Premier League table.

North Korea sparks IMMINENT strike fears as Kim 'SECRETLY moves missiles from rocket lab'

Top South Korean military officials reported that several long-range explosives had been moved from the site in Pyongyang.

A report said US intelligence boffins detected missiles being moved away from North Korea's Missile Research and Development Facility at Sanum-dong in the northern part of the capital late on Friday.

It did not say when or where they had been moved fuelling speculation a strike could be imminent. WW3: Kim could start the biggest war since 1945.

DANGEROUS: Kim has tested nuclear bombs and missiles over the summer. The South claimed they could be intermediate Hwwasong-12 or intercontinental ballistic (ICBM) Hwasong-14 missiles. However, the report stated the facility is dedicated to producing ICBMs.

The officials were unable to confirm whether there had been any unusual activities in the area. South Korea this week warned that tubster Kim could carry out "provocative acts" near the anniversary of the founding of its communist party on October 10.

READY FOR WAR: South Korea has trained its armed forces to battle the communist North.

EVIL: The tubby tyrant is ready to plunge the world into another major conflict.

Its growing concerns come after Pyongyang carried out several nuke and missile tests over the summer. Fears that war will break out has prompted Seoul to rapidly draw up plans to protect the nation from an imminent nuclear attack.

South Korean bankers fear Pyongyang is planning to target nuclear power stations, banks and government ministries using an electromagnetic pulse (EMP) weapon.

An EMP – used in nuclear bombs – unleashes electromagnetic radiation that damages volt-powered equipment and could cripple the South ahead of a WW3 clash with North Korea.

Terrifying footage has recently emerged simulating the impact of a nuclear strike over the Pacific Ocean. The clip shows a bomb exploding over the water before a radioactive cloud begins to spread over a huge chunk of planet Earth.
